The Character
Name: Carrieanne Savannah Darke
Nicknames (if any): Carrie, Anna, Vanna
Job Title: Healer
Age: 24
Blood: Pure blood
Wand: 10in, Rowan, Unicorn Core
Personality:
Carrieanne is a hardworking woman who thinks of everything and everyone before herself, it doesn't matter the reason and no she wasn't brought up like that either. She pretty much grew up being that way. You will often find her carrying on interesting conversations with friends and even strangers, she loves to chat and make new friends. She's intelligent and witty, loving to joke around and have fun. However, she does know when she needs to be serious, especially at work.
On the flip side, she tends to be a quiet and reserved person, she enjoys the simple things that life has to offer. She makes for a great listener and likes to give her opinion on things if it was needed. When it comes to relationships, she sketchy and keeps her guard up. Carrieanne has a very sensitive side and is reluctant to let her emotions take her for another ride. Now, Carrieanne does have a slight mean streak in her, she doesn't take kindly to disrespectful people and will give them a word of advice. But after being a professor before, she knows how to handle different situations.
Appearance:
From head to toe, Carrieanne is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 110lbs. Her hair is dark brown with semi blonde highlighted tones put in. Her eyes are brown and her nose is a bit pointy but nothing significant, her lips are somewhat pouty and are a pale pink. Very slender, but athletic mostly. She's highly active and enjoys sports. When she's working she dresses professionally with her hair up in a bun or pulled up into a braid, mainly to keep her hair out of her face. Her attire for work would consist of black dress pants and a colorful blouse with her robes over them.
Now if it it was a casual day and nothing going on, you'd probably find her dress in jeans, tee shirt and a jean jacket or no jacket at all if the weather permitted it. She's not much on the fancy stuff, so you'll rarely catch her wearing any kind of jewelry except earrings if that. Other than that, Carrieanne is a fairly simple woman. Simplicity is her style.
History:
There wasn't a whole lot to the life of Carrieanne Darke, the middle child of three children. The oldest Miles Darke was a year older than Carrieanne, then it was her and then her younger sister Hannah. Her parents Alaina and Theodric Darke spent more time worrying about Miles and Hannah and how they were growing up more so than they were Carrieanne. They knew that she could handle herself in pretty much any situation, but was for the most part she was a quiet and well reserved young girl. Carrieanne, as a little girl, was very active though still quiet. She had a fairly simple life, she earned what she wanted and did what she was told without testing her parents patience.
At the age of 15, Carrieanne started getting sick of the fact that her parents paid more attention to her brother and sister, that she started becoming rebellious and only did things to seek her parents attention, for lack of better words getting into trouble. She did things she knew not to do, however, she wanted for once to be the center of attention even if it was a negative way. Her parents didn't know what had gotten into her until one night she and her parents got into an arguement and finally they started listening to how she felt. Now that things seem normal again with the exception of a few changes, her parents pay her just as much attention as they do her siblings. Carrieanne switched schools.
A few years went by and had finally graduated from Beauxbaton's Academy and still had a full life ahead of her, she had to find something to do. So Carrieanne was presented with a position as a Professor at Beauxbatons and worked as a Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. She had also subsituted a few of the other classes as well. After about a year of being a Professor, Carrieanne wanted to try something new. She was good at Herbology and figured why not take up the Healer position that was going to be coming up soon. When the position did open up for it, she jumped on it quickly and was given the job only temporary to test her knowledge in the medical aspect of being a Nurse. Six months into the position, she was given the title as a Healer, which meant she earned the position to keep.
Now at the age of 24yrs old, she decided to leave Beauxbatons to come to Hogwarts because she heard that they were hiring for Healers at the school. Packing her bags, Carrieanne set off to seek a position as a healer here at hogwarts.

It was a dark stormy night and Carrieanne was bored critically out of her mind. She had finished up her work from the day before. However, what really bothered her was the fact that now that she was done, what was she going to do? It was stormy and the winds were blowing making the trees outside sway violently, she wanted to go for a walk, but couldn't because she wasn't one who like to get drenched to say the least or for lack of better terms, she didn't want to get wet. Leaning against the wall by the bed, her eyes looked towards the window and outside to see nothing but rain.
"Ugh.. What am I going to do?" she sighed, boredom... she hated being bored. Anyway, while she was looking out the window a bolt of lighting struck in the Forbidden Forest. Oh and the crackling sound of it made Carrieanne sit straight up in her chair with her eye glued to the window. Prying her tiny frame from the chair, she grabbed a pair of pants and placed them on over her shorts that clung tightly to her and decided "What the heck, why not." Besides, The Forbidden Forest was probably very dry or at least somewhat dry, though one could only be lucky enough.
Knowing how crappy her luck has been lately, she would look like a wet cat. Being warned time and time again from friends and professors, she knew the dangers and risks she'd be taking going in there. To her she figured that some people just have to live and learn right, of course, she was one of them. That and she quite frankly she didn't care, Carrieanne was a born adventurer, besides she wanted to take a walk. What harm could that be? Making her way out of her room and into the halls, she slipped by a few people who were passing by her. They must have been at a party or something.
By the smell of it, they've been into the tonic or something of that nature. What was it with people and drinking, Carrieanne found no pleasures in drinking like that. Eh, peer pressure. It'll get the best of you if you're not careful. Geez and she knew that all too well, late night adventures and have work the next day, eek. She was suprised she could even function. Slipping into another hallway after opening the door quietly, she walked all the way to the stairs and then down them till she got to the bottom. Or first floor if you will.
Checking things out to make sure it was safe to venture out, Carrieanne slid out the side door of the school and into the stormy weather. Even though she wasn't very fond of the rain or the loud bursts of thunder crackling in the sky, she did however like the lighting streaks. Those were pretty cool to watch, providing that she never got struck by one of them. With her cloak over her head, she was able to see maybe two feet in front of her which indicated the visibility wasn't so great. Well yeah, duh, of course it wasn't. This meant either one of two things. One, she'd get lost really quick or two end up running into something. Make that three, or running into someone.
Walking across the court yard her eyes squinted hard trying to gaze above her at the dark gloomy clouds, the rain stung her face and quickly streamed down her cheeks. It felt good against her burning skin, she was hot, but she wasn't stupid to take her cloak off just to get cooler. That would have been a sure fire way to get sick and of course, she didn't like getting sick either. After passing the court yard and the lake as well as the large oak tree, she found herself walking down a rocky path towards something unknown to her.
Lighting hit over the lake and the sound of thunder roared ringing through her ears, Carrieanne nearly came out of her skin, but she did see the entrance to the Forbidden Forest only a few feet away. So in continuing her walk, her brown hair was drenched and so where her robes that stuck to her slender body. Finally she stopped at the entrance to the Forbidden Forest and looked at the dark foggy path that led into it. Pulling her wand from the inner pocket of her robes, she called out "Lumos!" as the thunder roared again making it impossible for anyone to hear her.
She stepped onto the path of the Forbidden Forest and began to walk slowly, not sure of what exactly would be lurking in the creepy oh so called haunted or dangerous place. Carrieanne did take precaution and remained well alert to her surroundings, but the thunder can tend to make her a little deaf at times. Tonight was a stupid night for choosing to go for a walk, but at least she's out of the school for a little while. Still finding it hard see anything except for the ground in front of her and her wand that she lit, she proceeded through the path full of thick branches.
More often than not, she kept having to duck under limbs that were grown on the trees or stepping over logs so she wouldn't trip. Ohhh, tripping over is never a good feeling. Especially if you don't know what you tripped over. Hearing the thunder continuously sounding off, she kept walking and found a little clearing to sit down in. It wasn't wet and was slightly warm there, a bit unsual but good enough for her for the time being to warm up and dry off. Carrieanne glanced around the clearing, not only to check it out for any people who like playing practical jokes on others, but to ensure herself that there wasn't anything out there.
Just for no reason at all the young woman looked down by her feet on her left side and there was a log. "Good, something to sit on for now." Carrieanne said to herself quietly as she sat down gracefully and continued to glance around and be curious like she always was.
