And.. I was hoping to have Amelia as the Head of the Animagus Division in the Improper Use of Magic Deprtment at the Ministry of Magic, the title that Mafelda Hundar used to occupy. Seeing as she hasn't been on the forum for six months, I do believe.

When a King Cobra strikes at you, your heart almost stops just from the loud hiss! One's body instantly produces adrenalin upon 1st glance at a towering, hooded King Cobra locking stares with you. They almost seem to mesmerize you with their swaying bodies, trance, and eyes (almost like a beautiful feminine woman). One thing for sure is, of all the poisonous snakes in captivity that I have worked with, the Cobras are by far the most intelligent. They almost seem to have “Problem Solving” capabilities.

Personality: Once a Slytherin, always a Slytherin. Amelia has that sly, calculating demeanor about her, radiating a calm, cool, collected persona while maintaining a cold air. She is perfectly capable of manipulating others to get what she desires, and finds irritation at the fact that so many animagi have come to Hogwarts. Like her daughter, Amelia is loyal to only her kind, discriminating against anyone else but people like her. Making many friends in the ministry, she knows when its time to put loyalties aside, if only to further herself in the industry. She is motherly only to her daughter and son, perhaps some of their friends as well. She has a temper to her, but it takes a while of building it up before she'd ever let it loose. Sometimes though, once someone she loves is in danger, it helps her while in animal form.

Appearance: Tall and lovely, Amelia is a beautiful woman. It almost appears as though her age hasn't caught up with her yet. At times she has a cold beauty about her, and at various times she has been known to get a snake-like gleam in her eyes.

History: Marrying her husband (of which she refuses to admit his name) at a younger age than most would find appropriate, Amelia had Erys at age 24, and Matthew soon after at 25. While her son went to Durmstrang - and got promptly kicked out of - and her daughter went to Hogwarts, she always praised them both, impressed with their intellect and talents beyond measure. Finding herself more and more fed up with how her husband treated her daughter, Amelia divorced him, having the pleasure of erasing his memory after an unfortunate jinxing incident went terribly wrong.

Working her way up through the ministry ranks, quickly gaining trust by her calm demeanor and intelligence, Amelia was soon promoted to the Head of the Animagus Division, vowing to take any unregistered animagi at Hogwarts into custody. In the past, there were only seven registered animagi. Though that was long ago, the numbers of them - teenagers, still in school - were astounding. It was then Amelia knew she had to do something about it.

For those who wish to become animagi, be aware of the rules and consequences you must consider beforehand. This talent is extremely, extremely difficult to master. If you do not possess a strong enough conscience, while attempting to transform you might possibly lose your mind and sanity to its effects. If uncontrollable, the chances of you being sent to a mental institution are quite high. You have been warned.

Rules:[/size]
1. No persons under the age of seventeen may become an animagi.
2. Those who wish to become an animagi must register with the Ministry. Failure to comply with this rule and severe punishments will result.
3. Mrs. Grace has every right as a Ministry Head personelle to decline your request, for whatever reason, be it age, or otherwise. It is possible to apply again once you are of age.
4. Due to the overpopulation of animagi at Hogwarts, Mrs. Grace has the right to remove any animagus student without a permit back to Headquarters for questioning and trial.

Grace sat down at her desk and wrote one of the most important letters she would ever write. Her coach and captain were there with her, knowing that their input would steady the young Keeper’s nerves.

“Are you ready, Grace?” Matthias, her coach, asked with a concerned frown on his brow. The loud and obnoxious captain, Galiaus, laughed loudly and clapped a hand on Grace’s back. “ ‘We shall conquer’, remember champ?” he chanted the team motto at Grace and she smiled at him. Nodding, feeling much comforted by them, Grace turned back to the parchment set in front of her. Setting her quill to the page, Grace wrote:

Dear Madame
I am Grace Tammara Marks, I am nineteen years of age and graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry two years ago… [[the letter continue in a very formal manner explaining that she is very law abiding and responsible and that she is already able to transfigure and what not what not.

She then proceeds to explain the reasoning behind her decision to pursue becoming an animagus: she felt abandoned by the death of her parents and changing her form helped her escape the pain from that. She has now gotten past that pain and the skill from the transformation remains. Being able to transform into a sparrow hark she can fly around, free from anything that means responsibility like being a professional quidditch player and running a small restaurant in Hogsmeade.

Following that she explains that by writing this letter she is requesting that she be registered as an animagus with the Ministry.]]

Grace lowered her quill and handed the parchment to Matthias with a worried frown. “What do you think?” she asked as he slowly reached a hand towards the parchment. As he read the long letter he absently rubbed his stubble thoughtfully, “hmm”ing ever now and then. Grace’s ice blue eyes were on him the whole time and Galiaus could clearly feel her tension. He, being a big man, lifted her off the chair she was sitting and sat down in it, pulling her down onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her. Though he was generally inappropriate, Gal could be incredibly thoughtful.

Through the two years since she had joined the Chudley Canons, Grace had come to see her team mates as her family, and the coach, Matthias as a father figure, the one she never had. She had not brought it over her heart to tell these carefree, loving people about her father but if they were to ask, and they had a few hours for the whole story as well as the stamina for Grace’s many tears, she would tell them. At last, after loosing all she had, Grace had found what she had always wanted, a family that loved her and would do anything for her.

Matthias looked up from the letter and looked eyes with the small girl with the nervous frown. A smile slowly came to his face and he nodded, sluggishly standing up and walking towards her. “It’s good,” the tall man said, his shoulder length hair falling around his oval face, “I’d certainly do it if I was her.” Grace unlocked her fingers from Gal’s as she reached for the letter being handed back to her. “Thank you, Matth,” Grace said in a small voice. After laughing a bit with Galiaus about how silly she had been and a tickling session, Grace walked with the two tall men to the small Owlery and sent the letter off with Matthias’s owl eagle owl. Gal put his arm around Grace’s shoulders as they watched it fly away. “Tis out of yer hands now,” he said almost wisely, with a silly grin on his face. Grace watched the large bird lie off knowing she could do nothing more.
