Adelaine doesn’t usually take well to authority, but that’s expected of her. All her life, she had been bossed around by older siblings and always told what to do. Finally fed up, she’s started to react badly to any type of commands, because she thinks other people are trying to take control of her own life. Addy’s known to have a quick temper, and a sarcastic remark to follow. If someone threatens her individuality, or anything about her, she’ll strike back instantly, no matter the consequence. Because of this little trait, she tends to be chastised constantly, either by her superiors or teachers.
Along with that rebellious spirit, Addy has a stubborn attitude to match. She hates to admit that she is wrong, and will fight to prove that she is in fact right. But, debating aside, she’ll be the first one to stand up for her own morals. If someone says something against her, she’ll stand up and defend herself instantly, and won’t back down until they withdraw what they said or until someone drags her away. This trait tends to get her into some trouble, considering she tends to stand up against the wrong people. Size and strength don’t matter when her own dignity is on the line, and she’ll even pick a fight with the person.
Adelaine loves the feeling of adrenaline pumping through her and the thrill of adventure. She loves to take risks, and will be the first to explore a haunted house, or go cliff diving. She believes that if someone thinks too much about what they’re going to do, they’re going to waste too much of their lives. Addy would rather spend her life with bruises and amazing experiences rather than playing it safe and only having a memory of the inside of her house. Of course, she is still cautious with certain things and doesn’t take the idiots way on her “adventures”. She just enjoys experiencing things rather than reading about them or watching as someone else does them.
Along with her risk-taking attitude, she has rather erratic thoughts that bring about her spur of the moment ideas. She has epiphanies almost hourly, and will usually bring her idea to life in the next few minutes. Addy can usually be seen tinkering away with things and crafting new projects to hang on her walls or decorate her dorm/room. Her rather strange, spontaneous ideas usually have people keeping their distance from her.
Although she pretends not to worry, Addy is still very much aware of the things people say about her. Though she acts very confident and self-assured, many times she’s just putting on the act to keep other people off of her. Here sister is fully aware of how Adelaine tends to keep something important to herself for weeks until it finally explodes out of her. She’s a good secret keeper, but it gets to the point where the burden of the secret has her half mad with either worry or stress. It isn’t that she doesn’t trust people, it’s just the fact that she doesn’t find it right to share other people’s secrets. And when it pertains to her, she has extra trouble trying to tell someone. For example, when Adelaine has a particular crush on a boy, she’ll avoid him like the plague for fear that she’ll make a fool of herself. She’s very good at building other people up, but when it comes to herself she tends to be a little low on the self assurance.
Quirks.
[x] Adelaine will wave her arms or make gestures with her hands when she tells stories
[x] Instead of using adjectives, she sometimes uses sounds or gestures to get her point across
[x] Addy refuses to respond to her full name, because she thinks it makes her sound like an old lady
[x] When she’s bored Adelaine tends to space out, and people can tell when she’s day dreaming because she either bites her lip or traces some sort of design into the desk/table/arm rest/etc.
[x] Addy can look people directly in the eyes when she’s lying, but the one thing that gives her away is the fact that she tends to touch her neck a lot when she lies (ie- resting her hand on her neck, pretending to scratch her neck, etc.)
[x] When Addy talks to her twin, she rarely actually uses Prue's name.

But now is not the time to cry, now is the time to find out why[/font]
Family: [go here and see cause I'm too lazy to post it]
The story of Adelaine’s birth was nothing spectacular, it was quite normal actually. Save for the fact that she was born with a twin, but that wasn’t very out of the ordinary in a crazy family like the Russo’s. They were meant to have a big family, and even when her mother said just one more, she was still happy that she ended up with the two twins. They certainly brought a great deal of life into the family that was for sure.
Ever since birth, Addy and Prue were always seen wandering around together. But, that was normal. All of the Russo siblings seemed to stick together like glue, despite the age differences. Tiny battles would often break out in the house, usually split into boys versus girls, considering the teams were even then. Ranging from pillow fights to an advanced version of capture the flag, they did it all. Benjamin and Georgia just watched fondly as their family all bonded so closely, although when something broke the look the children were given was anything but kind.
Adelaine and Prue showed magical abilities at young age, which the parents took to with great pride. Addy would often toddle around, changing the colors of her toys and clothes. Once she and her sister helped to make their mother’s garden bloom, only to be later chased away by one of the gnomes that liked to live there, it was a good thought anyway. Addy enjoyed watching as her older siblings would step onto the train for Hogwarts and slowly move from view. She had an immense knowledge of the school already, thanks to her older siblings.
Tragedy soon struck the family, and it happened when Adelaine was only thirteen, and already in her third year of Hogwarts. She, her brother Anthony, and Prudence were all on a walk, during dusk. Prue was chatting animatedly about something that happened in school, while Adelaine would pop in and throw in a few comments of her own as well. Anthony, bless him, listened politely to his sisters’ ranting without cutting them off. He had to be the best listener of the family, hence why the twins dragged him along on their walk.
A growl disrupted one of Prudence’s stories, and the three stopped walking. Silence settled around them, wrapping them in its cold grip and letting ice settle in their veins. Addy’s face had turned pale by then, and she was looking around with wide eyes, trying to find the source of the noise. Something flashed from the bushes and knocked Adelaine to the ground. Blood dripped steadily from the wound on her hip, though she wasn’t sure what had hit her exactly, her guess was that the bush she had been thrown into had stabbed her. Before she knew exactly what happened, the growling was near her again, and she scrambled up. Prudence let out a blood curling scream, which had Adelaine racing over to her. Anthony was lying on the ground, bruised, bloodied and unresponsive. Prudence’s clothes were ripped, much like Addy’s, though she was too frightened to look for any scars.
For weeks, the family couldn’t figure out what had happened. Anthony had been admitted into St. Mungo’s for treatment, as had Prue and Addy. The twins had been let out early, but Anthony just seemed to grow more and more irritable. Finally, they understood why. After the family had left from visiting, the moon had risen and the poor boy was forced into a dreadful change. Luckily, no one had been hurt by it, but it deeply frightened the family.
When Anthony was finally released, the family began to take extra special precautions with the boy. He was to be kept in the house, out of school, and away from his other siblings until they could figure out how to help him. It was a dreadful time for the family, though finally good news came. There was a potion that would keep Anthony in his right mind through the transformations, and the boy was finally allowed to see his family again.
Ever since then, Adelaine has become more protective over her siblings, and even more frightened of the magical creatures in the wizarding world.
