" I can feel you all around me. "
A recent transfer to Hogwarts, Selene, by choice,
has remained under the radar, unable to turn an immense
feeling of darkness off inside of her. She feels that coming
to Hogwarts was a mistake, as everything around her has
a wrong air about it.

Name: Selene Illyria Beaufort
Nickname: None
Age: Fifteen
Year: Fifth
House: Gryffindor
Blood: Pure
Celebrity: Kristen Stewart
Patronus: Butterflies
Boggart: Her friends dying
Wand: Holly, eleven inches, ashwinder ash
ashwinder ash: good for protection charms
Pet: ----
Status: Single
Troubled. Selene has been through much more than a girl
her age should experiance; most of it highly depressing
and enough to land anyone in their right mind in a psychiatric
ward. She hasn't told a single person what she went through,
as that would destroy the strength she worked so hard to build.
It would shatter the very basis for which she grew up on.
Through it all she has become a very strong, independent person,
and wakes up every day with a clean slate, and tries her best
to stay happy.
Happy. Despite carrying the worries of the world she maintains
a happy exterior and interior, that is, until everything shes bottled
up explodes on her. She must be reminded by her friends and
family to relax, and take a break once in a while.
Empathetic. Selene is very in-tune with the emotions of people
around her. At times that can come in handy when empathizing
with her friends, but at other times those feelings become her
feelings, and she begins to feel depressed if someone close to
her is. Large crowds are at times unbearable for her, its like an
emotional dogpile; she is soon overwhelmed and gets sick.
Easily Hurt. Due to her empathetic nature Selene can sometimes
feel too much, and though she tries not to show it, the little
stuff has a tendency to bother her every once in a while.
Its hard to build yourself up after years and years of torment
and oppression and not get a little irritated at name-calling
and abuse, and Selene is no different.
Stubborn. When she sets her mind to something, the only
way you'll stop her from doing it is by tying her to a tree.
Brave. Selene will throw her own life on the line
without any thought of her well-being in mind, to save
the people closest to her. Or people she doesn't even know,
doesn't matter. She would rather rip every eyelash from her
body than have anyone close to her experiance any pain.
Untrusting. It will take a whopping load of time to gain her trust,
but once you have it, she would throw herself infront of a bullet
without any doubt in her mind. Her friends, though welcomed, are
considered weaknesses, as she would do anything for them if
they but gave the word. Which is why she has so few, but they're
the extremely close ones that have been there for years and years.
Selene, unlike the majority of teenage girls, has never
had any complaints with her appearance. She stands at
average height for a girl her age, and has light blue/green
eyes. Her hair is regularily long, slightly wavy, and brown,
but shes dyed it blonde in the past. She has considered getting
tattoos, but has decided to wait a while longer before getting
inked.
Mother:
Father: Thomas Beaufort (44)
Siblings: Maya (6), Douglas (19)
Selene was born to Arabelle and Thomas Beaufort on
Christmas day, which some may find cool, but really it was just
the means for her uncles and aunts to combine birthday and
Christmas presents. Not cool. Her mother died a year after her
younger sister Maya was born, and before Douglas was initiated
as a Daily Prophet Reporter on his eighteenth birthday. For some
odd reason Thomas blamed his daughter for the death of his wife,
and the verbal and physical abuse has not ceased to this day.
Selene has remained tough and strong through it all, and
continues to thwart friend's questions as to why she has bruises
on her arms. She used to be eerily close with her brother Douglas
before he hit the ripe old age of fifteen and gradually started to
become his father, only adding to the abuse and the constant
torment. It has become a daily ritual, to visit home from school
(when forced; she never comes home for the holidays, sometimes
she has to, by order of law, as shes not old enough to be
considered an adult yet) and just get ripped down the moment
she steps in the door. Her sister Maya was taken away by social
services at the age of two, and doesn't even remember Douglas
or Selene.
