Hemlock – Hemlock is a ‘quick’ wandwood and allows for fast reactions, and makes an excellent potion stirrer besides.

Doxy Wing -- Doxy wings, like the creatures they come from, can be unmanageable and mean-spirited. They are second only to basilisk wands in their abilities with the Dark Arts, and as such these rare wands are most often found in the hands of stubborn Slytherins without the familial connection to obtain a basilisk core.

Basilisk Skin -- Basilisk wands are incredibly rare, as the beasts are rare to begin with and hard to kill. Due to the rarity, they often are passed down from generation to generation, so basilisk-core wands are either the heirloom of Slytherin-type Pureblood families or reforged wands from family cores. The occasional new basilisk wand will almost always bond to a Parselmouth or budding Dark Wizard. Very little good comes out of wielders of basilisk wands.

Jake cares very deeply for the Slytherin House and will be damned if he lets anybody badmouth it. Badmouthing his house is a sure way to get a reaction from him since he is fiercly loyal to it, despite all the riff raff coming into the noble house of Salazar Slytherin. Jake despises those who wander the common room who do not have an ounce of Slytherin in them, for he knows that people within his own house associate with others from different houses, it is almost enough to make his stomach churn.

Snippy and Sarcastic:
Usually a very quiet kind of person, Jake doesnt talk much, answering one word answers to most people. Occasionally he will have a normal conversation, though that is very rare. Jake has a very snippy personality, he gets annoyed extreamly easily and is offended easier than that. Though he is good for controlling his temper and doesnt usually allow it to get the better of him, however, he is known to be sarcastic, throwing out snide comments here and there.

Interhouse Rivalry:
He believes in the rivalry because he believes the school should be full of pure bloods and no half bloods, half breeds or disgusting mudbloods. He thinks if the Slytherins make their stand and get the Rivalry back to how it should be, people will stop sending mudbloods here, though its only a slim hope, even Jake has to have something to believe in.

The Quiet Rage:
When annoyed, Jake will brood in a dark place. Allowing his anger to wash over him yet not come out. His jaw will tighten and his eyes will glaze over. He will probably think of a hundred ways or more to hurt you but he will not do anything about it. The quiet rage however, is very dangerous, for this means you have pushed him too far, his own house or not, he will find a way to make your life a living hell.

The Determination:
He is a very determined young man, he knows what he wants and he isnt afraid to strive for it. Bounding towards his goal, Jake wont stop until he achieves it. This determination comes from his father, who is the same as Jake, extreamly determined. Sometimes it appears as though Jake has too much drive and not enough attention, for sometimes he will pay attention in one class, but not give another a second thought.

Nature and Beauty
Jake loves nature, he finds it wonderful. He is always at his best when he is outdoors, he tends to be at ease around anything like nature. He finds beauty in a lot of things, in things people cant see beauty in. He'll find beauty in the smallest of bumblebee to the largest unicorn. He doesnt understand why people disregard nature as, in truth, it is essential to them.

Born in Ireland, Jake is a pureblood Irish Wizard who cares little for the feelings of other people. Even as a child he was quiet and non caring. Always hurting other children without so much as a second thought. Eventually he grew up though and grew into a shell. True, he still did not care for the feelings of others, but no longer did he hurt them unless they did something to him. Jake was known in the little village in Ireland as not being a nice boy, and most parents kept their children away from him. Not that Jake cared.

He got older and colder, his father was sure he would become a Slytherin like himself and was so proud of the way Jake was, it gave him no incentive to change. Bad parenting? Maybe. But its what they believed in. Deane gave Jake a basilisk wand, but when he went to Ollivanders Jakes wand was a Doxy Wing core. Both wands had taken to him greatly so Mr Ollivander dismantled both Hornbeem and Hemlock wand, placed both cores together and wound the Hornbeem and Hemlock wood together, creating for Jake his perfect wand. It took him him better than each core would have if they were alone, and Jake found himself never wanting to let go of the power he could feel coming from it.

Soon after that, he went to Hogwarts and just like his dad predicted, Jake was placed in Slytherin. Seven years has passed since that day and still, Jake is the same cold blooded Slytherin that he ever was.
