The Character

Name: Davin Jett
Nickname: Evil Tiny, a nickname given to her by two of her older siblings.
Age: 11
Year: 1st
Blood: Halfblood

Wand: Six inch maple, core made of the tail feather of a two-tailed crow.
Pets: Black pygmy owl named Hades.
Patronus: Crow

Personality: Davin is an unusual little character. She is extremely innocent and naive, but along with that innocence comes a very dark sarcastic streak. On rare occasions she has even become vicious in her verbal taunts and emotional abuse. Rarely does she resort to physical acts of violence or duelling, because she's so clever in tearing people apart with her observations of their character alone. This is how she gained the nickname "Evil Tiny" from her older brothers Fredrick and Georgina.

This dark aspect of her character only comes out when she is horribly provoked, though. Most of the time she is very pleasant, saying "please" and "thank you" and "Yes ma'am" and "Yes sir", and being respectful as she was taught to be by her parents Rita and Jonathan. She is really quite shy in most situations, and it takes a lot to pull her out of her quiet shell, but once comfortable with a group of friends she can be quite a conversationalist, enjoying debates and theological conversations, although half the time she's jsut making stuff up because she doesn't understand the topic, but she likes putting her two cents worth in none the less.

Appearance: Davin is much shorter than most her peers, standing a good three or four inches below most of them. She is also quite slim which makes her an easy target for bullying and quite often results in tears from the poor little first year since she can't defend herself very well most of the time.
She has dark curly hair which reaches just a little past her shoulders, and big blue eyes, which very clearly convey her innocence and naivity.

History: Rita and Jonathan Jett met while they were interning as Ancient Rune specialists in Egypt. They married and had five children, of which Davin is the second to the youngest. The oldest child is Michelle [18] who is currently working as a secretaries assistant in the Ministry of magic, a graduated Gryffindor, and whom Davin detests greatly. Then are the twins Fredrick and Georgina, both fourth years. Fredrick was sorted into Hufflepuff while his sister Georgina was sorted into Ravenclaw. They are both very protective of Davin and keep tabs on her, though she doesn't know it. She only knows that whenever she's in trouble, here come the twins to save the day.
Then there's Davin's youngest brother Thaddeus, who is currently six years old. Davin also has some resentment issues toward this younger brother because she was quite enjoying being the baby of the family, and now she has to deal with another kid in the house. It frustrates her immensely and she is often finding clever ways to dispose of the annoyance when he gets in her way. Like the one time she sent him to Grandma's house via owl. Her parents then restricted her access to the family owlrey and only allowed her a pygmy owl to keep as her own. Little do they know she plans on becoming quite proficient with shrinking potions during her stay at Hogwarts.
Davin is, in fact, most looking forward to Potions class and Transfigurations, and cannot wait to get started with her classwork. Especially considering she's heard there's a transfiguration spell that will turn any given item yellow.
