Haleigh is a very gentle person by nature. She never loses her temper or raises her voice, every gesture and reply is carried out with a sort of soft quality to it. Being this way has given her a lot of insight and experiance in handling the problems of others well--she gives excellent advice, and being the one others come to with their problems gives her a sense of pride that she can be there for them. She loves that they trust her, but it causes others to often overlook the fact that she may have problems and worries too, even though she doesn't outwardly express them.
She will often struggle with the timeless question of: what happens when we die? Haleigh is a very deep, profound thinker. Her mind works somewhat differently than others, and she is unsettled at the thought that we will all simply dry up and blip out of existence when we perish. What happens to our talents, our souls? Are they recycled? Do we die and continue to simply watch the living, or can we decide to be reborn? She knows someday she too will leave and eventually be forgotten, and she hates it, so she strives to accomplish something important that will have people remembering her even after shes gone.
In her group of friends, Haleigh is the bachelor. She has terrible luck with crushes and relationships, and doesn't like people very often because of it. Her guy friends see her more as the confidant rather than the girlfriend, which irritates her sometimes, but she buries the occasional loneliness under layers and layers of strength and happiness. Its a defense mechanism if you will; if someone doesn't like her back, which they often wont, she'll get over it. Shes the type of person who finds it useless to mope about it, so she gets on with life, and shes much happier without all the sadness. Though she secretly hopes someone will come along who will think she is enough, she knows that isn't likely to happen, and doesn't get her hopes up.
Music is an integral part of Haleigh's life. It would be much more useful for a guitarist such as herself if she could sing as well--which she can, but shes never sung infront of anyone else, so shes led herself to believe she cant, silly girly--but for now Haleigh simply sits somewhere below the radar, playing her guitar and singing softly to herself. She can often be seen sitting with a musical device nearby, or headphones in each ear, humming along.
She likes to think of herself as the type of person who will throw herself in harms way to protect those she loves, but secretly she hopes she will never have to be put in that situation, not knowing what she would do under that kind of pressure. The results would be so life changing, shes not sure she would make the right decision. She is a loyal person though, and her friends mean a lot to her.

Rhiannon and Richard were never the perfect match. They met as teenagers during a drunken party, and Rhiannon, as straight-edge and a non-drinker as they came, was disgusted with the likes of Richard, the frequent drunken idiot you see wobbling around at every party. He however was simply enchanted at the prospect of a challenge, intoxicated state or not, and he had tried hitting on her, only to get punched in the face by her boyfriend. Such a lovely meeting, hey?
But everything was not doomed for the unconceived Haleigh: Rhiannon had a few classes with Richard, during which she actually encountered him when he wasn't drunk. He was actually an intelligent and charming person, minus his boozeful tendencies, and without realising it she found herself falling for him. It wasn't until four years after graduation did they actually meet up again and start dating, much to the disproval of Rhiannon's parents. Three years later and a baby was on the way, one at first they thought was a boy, who was going to be named Will. But it was a girl instead, and they had to name her on the fly; they hadn't thought of any girl names, being a very absent-minded couple. Rhiannon suggested 'Rachel', the name of her mother, but it was Richard who mentioned 'Haleigh', and they decided to use that one instead, using 'Rachel' as the middle name. And Haleigh was born, happy day!
Unlike the person she is now, Haleigh was a very loud, riotous child, the subject of argument in many of her parents fights. She slowly and slowly grew accustomed to silence, when her parents were too busy screaming at each other to listen to her cries. She grew up lovely, she grew up wise; she grew up faster than a child should. But she had grown so used to anger by now she was simply tired of fighting and yelling, so she simply didnt do it. When she was accepted into Hogwarts her muggle parents had another huge fight, the third that day, causing her to just pack up whatever she could and lug it outside. She was found by the night bus and taken to Kings Cross, where she managed to find someone who could help her get a ticket and get on the platform. She was taken to Hogwarts, then to Hogsmeade to get her supplies and her wand.
Her sorting was another matter however. The Sorting Hat took its sweet time deciding on whether she should be in Ravenclaw, for her intelligence, or Gryffindor, for her strength, but in the end brain conquered brawn, and she was sorted into Ravenclaw. Haleigh never visits home unless she needs forms signed; shes managed to cover the payments with the money she makes.[/color][/blockquote]
