The Character
Name: Ashley Montgomery
Nicknames: Ash, Ashie
Age: 16
Year: 6th year
Blood: Halfblood
Wand: Unicorn Hair, Oak, 10 1/4 inches, Left hand
lPets: Owl
Patronus: Eagle
Boggart: Giant hairy spiders
Personality: Ashley had been quite pretty shy at a young age. She was an introvert who would read books at the side. As the years went by, she started to grow out of her shell and became more sociable with the people surrounding her. She is a pretty good listener to her friends as well as a trustworthy one. She worries about a lot of little things though, oftentimes because of paranoia.
Though with the personality transformation, she still have with her the knack of studying and the wit to answer random questions. She loves trivias and crossword puzzles. She could read long novels and dreamed of writing one someday. She is a little impatient with things though, and a little bit much more curious. Aside from her serious personality, she loves to laugh and crack up jokes at random moments.
Appearance: Ashley is your typical girl-next-door type. Her eyes are colored blue, a trait which she got from her mother. Her long locks are blonde with dark highlights. At times, she irons her hair and straightens it out. She likes to wear it down most of the time.
She's not that tall though, standing at 5'5". She has a fair complexion and a little spread of freckles on both her cheeks. She has a lean body, a little more feminine than the athletic type. Her lips are full and pinkish-red. She wears clothes she is comfortable with, mostly jeans and a simple top, that is if she's not in uniform.
History: Having been born in two different worlds, Ashley's parents fell in love at first sight. It happened when her dad, being fascinated by muggle stuff, was out to buy something out of a muggle market and her mum was by the station, waiting for the bus to arrive. They bumped into each other.. and the rest was history. Her dad, Harold, is a mere wizard that worked on one of the shops in Diagon Alley. He had recently been managing a store and was not that busy with work until then. It had somehow worked for them since Ashley is already going to Hogwarts. While her dad is a full-time wizard, her mum, Sarah, is a muggle born citizen. She was born in France and together with her family, they moved on to London.
Wanting to experience the whole muggle world, Ashley's parents let her enjoy her childhood without magic. She had muggle friends and went to a muggle school. With that, she learned to be independent and gain such strong personality, considering she is vulnerable to the muggle world. She hadn't been aware of the wizarding world until she was nine. She was always wondering where those Christmas gifts from Santa came from when everyone in her school denied his existence. She was the only one who believed in Santa. She was trying to catch him since she was seven. Often, she would sleep in her parent's bedroom during the holidays. But she was left to believe that Santa did exist. Until one night when she caught her father sheepishly sneaking under their Christmas tree. She tiptoed into their living room hiding in one of their sofas. She could not believe what she saw. Her father was swishing and swooshing his wand until all the gifts were wrapped. She gasped. On Christmas morning, her father explained to her what happened and world she is a part of.
From that moment on, she could not wait to get into Hogwarts and see for herself the tales that her dad had told her about that magical place. When she had arrived there at her first year, she was stunned. It was more that what she had expected. She fell in love with the place as well as the things she'd learned during her stay there. She had gained friends, too. Her love for studying is still with her as she stays active in class. So far, her favorite was Potions and DADA. During school breaks, she goes home and stays with her mom and dad. She always misses home but can't stand being away from Hogwarts.
RP Sample: Ashley's mind was wandering through her deepest imaginations when she found her forehead creasing. Alas, she has awoken with the sunlight peeping through the window and streamed on her face. Rubbing her eyes and yawning sleepily, she adjusted her eyes to the bright rays of the sun. She did not want to get out of bed just yet. Her bedside clock told her that she has still an hour to get ready and that was an awful lot of time for her.
Still lazy to get up, she stared at the top of her four poster bed and noticed how her body ached. Yesterday she had been at a very hyper mode and got her broomstick flying over the quidditch field. She had a few stumbles and laughed it out with her friends. "Good 'ol times," she said in her mind. As she peered on both of her sides, her roommates are still profoundly asleep, probably on their own dreamlands.
Finally, she decided to get up and silently stretched her arms and legs. She fumbled through her stuff and found her comb. She straightened her hair and tied it up so it won't get into her face. She had a huge zit on her right cheek and did not want to irritate it more. She peered out of the window and smiled at the green fields and the cloudless sky above her that screamed good morning at her. A smile flashed across her face as she braced herself for what the day may bring.
