Personality:
Caleb is the older Holden twin by 3 and a half minutes. He loves his sister and loves to be there for her, since he knows it's difficult for her to open up to anybody else. Unlike his sister, Caleb is a laid back type of guy. He rolls with the punches and believes that everything will be just fine. He is not afraid of change or emotion or breaking the rules, like his sister is. He loves to fly on his broom, even in bad weather. Caleb doesn't go look for trouble, but normally it finds him. He is more timid than he likes to let on. He speaks of being an outgoing, energetic person but sometimes he isn't. Caleb gets embarrassed easily and has a hard time not displaying shyness. He often gets tongue-tied and nervous around girls that he really likes because he gets embarrassed that his feelings take over too much (at least for the stereotypical guy). He is a true romantic at heart.
Being a male is a blessing in Caleb's eyes. He sees the conformity that his sister was put through and is ever so thankful that he did not have to go through it himself. He has an okay relationship with his father, but he adores his mother completely. She understands his sense of potential power and the longing to be more. He tries not to be judgmental of others unless they attack his sister. Caleb might be timid, but if somebody messes with his sister, he would do anything in his power to protect her. Sometimes his loyalty is a little overbearing, but he's just so cute, it's forgivable.
Appearance:
Caleb looks similar to his twin sister. He has slightly darker hair than she does and a differently shaped face and nose. But, they both have the same storm at sea eye color, an determinable dominant color as sky blue, seafoam green and slate gray. His skin has a tendency to tan easier in the summer. Caleb is muscular, but not overly so. He is the exact same height as his twin, 5'11".
Caleb dresses in a more conservative but preppy look. He wears the wizardry robes because that is what is expected of him as a pureblood. He doesn't really think about his wardrobe; his mother and sister are more than happy to pick out the clothes that they like for him to wear.
History:
Parents: Amy and Winston Holden
Siblings: twin sister, Cassandra
The marriage between the dreamer Amy and the analytical Winston was a prearranged marriage when both headed off to Hogwarts. Because they knew that they were going to get married, the couple tried to slowly grow as friends. Unlike some prearranged marriages, Amy and Winston actually fell in love. Winston and Amy both went into the medical field of magic after Hogwarts. Amy, a Hufflepuff, would drop from her work after she became pregnant. Winston, a Ravenclaw, went on to become a prestigious Healer at St. Mungo's. Amy went through a grueling pregnancy, although she was glowing and happy. She gave birth to twins on the starry night of June 25, the boy being older by 3.5 minutes. Amy stayed home with the children, doting on her baby boy and primping her little girl into a proper young lady.
Caleb followed his sister like a puppy. She was the bossy one and he always complied, never complaining of being in her shadow. Caleb knew that she loved him, no matter how she acted. His first magical act happened during a temper tantrum: he set his teddy on fire. He watched his sister mature under his mother's critical eye. Instead, his mother would teach him lessons, lessons about life like feelings and dreams, things that boys weren't really suppose to understand. Caleb love that his mother taught him these 'secrets.' He relished knowing these things while his sister seemed more and more to become opposite him.
His father tried to teach him basic Muggle studies. After getting the basics, Caleb never did try to advance like his sister. He took his sweet time learning things. His father did teach him how to ride a broom, though. Father and son loved to ride their brooms together. At Hogwarts, Caleb was devastated to be separated from his sister. He couldn't look after her secretly, like he always had. She wasn't always there when he needed to talk to her. Yet, the twins always knew that they could meet up whenever they needed each other and grew accustom to being separated, however painful it was.
