Diana practically ran into the room. Her hair whipped around the corner as she entered. Smiling at everyone simpathetically she caught Professor Fagin's eyes. "I'm sorry i'm late Professor," she let out slowly as she noticed Maeve and then everyone else she knew. She gave them all smiles and then sat by Maeve. "Hello dear," she whispered.

"Not another one..." Olivia sighed under her breathe as yet another wonderful Slytherin walked though the door. Liv groaned. She was going to lose it. Olivia smiled at Jac. Maybe she would be able to keep her sanity with Jac on the trip. She might have to hold Olivia back from clobbering the Slytherins. If one thing made Olivia mad was disrespect in the classroom. It wasn't worth all the trouble. It made Liv quiver.
But as another boy walked in the room, Olivia suddenly became incredibly shy, and shut her trap. As Russ winked at her and sat down, she glanced up and gave him a little smile, but then immediately averted her eyes to the desk top. She glanced up at the newest arrival.
Another Slytherin. Was this a test? Did Olivia do something wrong to deserve this? Liv sighed, and brought her attention back to Fagin. She trusted that he wouldn't put up with the crap, them again he was the Slytherin head of house. Liv groaned, she was doomed.

Jac rolled her eyes. More Slytherins! she groaned and slouched on the table. She leaned her cheek on her fist and leaned towards Olivia. "If you promise to make sure I don't kill any of those Slytherins, this trip should be alright," she whispered. She had had nothing but bad experiences with Slytherins and knew she would only still.
Jac looked at Olivia, smiling at her little joke, then noticed how intently she was staring at her table. Jac looked around and noticed a Ravenclaw boy had just arrived. Jac smiled knowingly at Olivia and then at the Ravenclaw. She waved at him lazily, chuckling on the inside. Then someone else came in, the one nice Slytherin she had met, Diana. Jac waved lazily at her too and added, "hello to you too." She couldn't believe she was being nice to a Slytherin but she had been nice to her first so it was only polite.

Diana smiled when Jac greeted her. She knew she was a Slytherin should not be associating with other houses but frankly when has she ever followed that rule. Diana followed her own rules when it came to her social life. Jac was a sweet girl and she didn't care about her blood type or house. If she liked someone she liked them, end of story. For that no one in her house ever spoke much about it. They tend to leave Diana on her own with that and she rather likes it like that.

Since it seemed no one else was coming, Jac felt confident to ask her question without interruption. "Sir," she said, raising her hand, "is there anything special we should bring? Soap? Food? Disinfectant?" She retracted her hand and looked at the professor. She technically had no idea what disinfectant was but Grace had many times spoken of it and it sounded like a handy thing to have around.

Ariane walked into the class with a slight hesitation. The last time she had been in here she had been physically escorted out. "Professer" she nodded towards Fagin "SOrry about being late" she added as she took a seat a little bit away from Olivia. Remembering her as a Hufflepuff it seemed the safest place to sit. Not that the Gryffindors weren't just as great, but she didn't know how many of them knew her brother and she wasn't in the mood to have them telling her about how sorry Dean was and how much he just wanted to apoligize to her face.
Ariane didn't raise her hand she just sat quietly, hoping that the Professer didn't bring up their previous.... argument.

Alexis walked in the room and immediately noticed that there seemed to be a lot of Slytherins there. It always seemed kind of odd to her that they would be taking muggle studies but she kept that opinion to herself. She moved toward two other girls one a Gryffindor and one a Hufflepuff. Shy as she normally was she figured that being with them was going to be a lot better than with any Slytherins so she immediately took charge. 'Hi there I'm Alexis.' she thought one of the girls was named Olivia but she wasn't sure so she made the introduction that way if she was wrong well no harm no foul. Luckily she hadn't been there long enough to hear some of the nasty things that had already been said. Alexis really didn't care for narrow-minded individuals and she was quick to say something to people like that. It was one of the things she found it hard to tolerate. Hoping that the tension would die she looked at the two girls waiting for them to say something anything.

Post by Prof. Jack Fagin on Aug 9, 2007 21:23:02 GMT
Grumbling execrations under his breath as the students began firing questions as if they were newly sprung from the womb, he rolled his eyes wondering how they came to be quite so inquisitive, and wanting to know everything, did they not trust Jack Fagin? Evidently not.
"Miss Malfoy, yes to all your questions girl, course it starts now, you'll have to prepare for what life will be on the outside, without the magic you all depend so completely upon. This tour will be a real eye opener for everyone, I'd wager my last firewhiskey on it." As a far off look entered his eye as he contemplated a flagon as soon as the lesson reached it's inevitable raucous climax, probably with him hurling a Slytherin out of his classroom. He absentmindedly listened to Biggerstall, luckily he could drool over drink and hear at the same time, a quite remarkable feat showing the extent of his ability to multi-task.
"Oh good," he breathed as Jac fixed his door, "it looks oddly clean now, quite out of place, someone will have to dirty it in detention sometime. 10 points for Gryffindor still." Hearing her response about safety he cut in, "course you'll be safe girl, 5 points off for such a ridiculous comment. A few bruises when I bang a kettle on somebody's thick skull," he darted a momentary partly in jest glare at the two Malfoy's.
"You seem to be the problem Miss Malfoy, no not you, Maeve, Vanessa the little urchin, don't bother giving me lip and mumbling under your breath." As one of his secretly favourite pupils; due to her ability to actually answer a question in his lessons, piped up in his defence he grinned broadly, "why did you join up girls?" He demanded, "it;'s never to late to run away with your tail between your legs because you can't handle acting as a muggle for a few measly days." As a Slytherin boy entered Fagin added snidely with a grin, "don't worry lover boy here will cook some beans on toast for you...if he can manage that." Strolling over to her he whispered loudly for everyone to still here in a girlish manner; "I think he fancies you." Laughing uproarisly Fagin waltzed away, if people didn't know he meant nothing too harshly by his comments thrown from his lashing tongue, then they really weren't suitable for the fieldtrip.
As a Ravenclaw appeared withwhat Fagin thought of as the lamest excuse in existance the Muggle Studies Professor laughed cruelly, exclaiming with raised eyebrows, "got lost? Please come up with a better excuse than that in future, even if it was the truth. So just bring your brain, and use your common sense to tell you what you can and can't bring please; magic items no, muggle stuff yes." He explained in laymens terms.
As person after person stumbled on in Fagin flung himself bodily into his armchair, putting his head into his hands and simply waving each person in. As the last took their seats he arose once more grinning wickedly. "Bring anything you need to live on; namely clothes and washing kit, food and drink will be supplied. Bring plenty of muggle paper and pens for extensive notes will be needed."
Feeling the tension in the room Fagin added in a growl, "I want you to all try to get along, as much as you can, is that clear?" If he didn't hear a resounding chorus of crystal clear Fagin would likely blow his lid.

Jac beamed when she got her house points, even if she lost some straight after. It seemed strange that the grumpiest teacher would offer to spend some time away with some students. Jac snorted a little louder then she had intended and quickly began coughing to cover it up. This is going to be fun, she thought to herself, I must remember to track Grace down and quiz her. Grace was her reference to all things muggle and a reliable source at that.
As each got their turned with the Professor, Jac watched them with an amused twinkle in her blue eyes. She could see how they squirmed or got irritated and she was loving it. She was glad none of them were going to be against her in the Tournament, they'd hardly be a challenge. Jac smiled broadly around and held back a laugh when Fagin threw himself into a chair. Already he was getting annoyed with them. Jac had one question left and raised her voice, "Prof," she said, "when do we leave?"

"Yes professor.. When do we leave?" Came a hypnotic voice from the back, seemingly coming from a seventh year who hadn't been there before. Sliding her tongue thoughtfully over her lips, the vampire smirked, wondering if muggle blood tasted better than wizard. Whirling around to face the wall, she reached smoothly into her robes, retrieving a flask and downing a gulp of its contents. Turning back to face the class, Cessily licked her lips, swallowing the drops of blood that had been lingering. Closing her lavendar eyes to hide the brief flash of crimson in each iris, she opened them again, the color now green after feeding time. If anybody asked? It was cherry juice, from the muggle world, that she had picked up in Diagon Alley. Hopefully she wouldn't lose her cool and eat somebody infront of the students, now that would get her suspended from Hogwarts for a week or two. Snickering, the half-witch twirled her black wand between her pale fingers, waiting for when it was time to leave. Pocketing the wand suddenly, Cessily narrowed her eyes, remembering that they would be living as muggles; forbidden to use magic and do everything by hand. Biting her lip viciously to hide an immature pout, Cessily crossed her arms over her chest, trying desperately not to lose her patience and nix the whole thing off her to-do list.
Seemingly the only person with a suitcase, that she could tell, Cessily wondered if her resolve was stronger than the will to steal some little child and suck them dry. Nobody had any idea how tough it was being the only person to be more vampire than witch. But she couldn't say she didn't like the super speed, strength, and senses she gained after being bitten a month ago. The only downside was that Cessily couldn't age past 17. Living forever was a downer if you didn't have somebody to share it with. Vowing to keep herself under control at least when around her classmates, the Ravenclaw had filled at least 10 flasks with blood, just in case. Rapping her dangerously sharp fingernails against her skin, she pursed her lips, wondering briefly how the hell she landed in Ravenclaw when she was evil. Evil for god's sake. How the hell did that happen, anyway?

Having heard vicious rumours about Professor Fagin's fell and terrible reputation, Charlie being muggleborn anyway didn't think Muggle Studies could teach her much, how wrong could she be? Though she'd heard word of the upcoming fieldtrip she still hadn't thought it necessary to join up, until by complete mistake she wandered on into the classroom, or was it fate?
Looking around rather bewildered momentarily, she soon caught her bearings on seeing the fearsome man sat in his armchair, which looked rather comfortable. Thinking that leaving would only cause much more troubel and agro she looked around confusedly seeing if she knew any of the Hufflepuffs in particular, who where present, she did vaguely but they were all to far away, casting exasperated glances at the Slytherins from time to time it seemed. Taking the nearest unoccupied chair Charlie listened attentively, realising with a surge of excitement that this was a meeting for the fieldtrip, well she wasn't one to fight against fate, for she knew she'd never win, so she sat contented with a faint smile and dazed expression. She'd have to pick up on what was happening pretty quickly, but that didn't bother her, she'd only need bring the basics.

Oliver entered the classroom, realizing he was terribly late, as he looked around and noticed many others already sitting there. But he had just seen someone enter the classroom ahead of him, someone familiar...then he spotted her, not far from the entrance. It was Charlie, a fellow Hufflepuff he had met not too long ago.
Sitting down next to her as quietly as possible, so as not to attract too much attention from anyone, including the professor (who looked to be quite the no-nonsense man), he muttered a small 'Hello' to Charlie.

This field trip would give her more of a feel to the English culture, not to mention language. It will be useful, and perhaps interesting. The one thing that made her a little anxious was how the muggles dressed, but it shouldn't be that bad. She could change back into her Kimono when she returned with the class back to Hogwarts. Deciding this while trying not to get lost on her way to the meeting, Akira pursed her lips, slowly peering into the first classroom to find that it was the one she was looking for. Many students were assembled here, she noticed, while looking hurriedly for a place to sit. Appearing troubled, the oriental witch didn't know anybody- except for Charlie and Oliver, sitting together near the doorway. Her face brightening considerably, Akira walked smoothly towards them, barely making a sound before sitting beside the friendly Hufflepuff girl. "Be excusing me please, I know nobody here. May I sit with you two?" She whispered, her eyes twinkling hopefully.
If they would prefer to be alone, a possibility of course, Akira would have no problem moving despite her own disappointment. Perhaps they would be her friends? They were kind enough at the lake earlier.

"Hiya Olly Wolly," Charlie greeted in a hushed whisper barely moving her lips so attention wouldn't be drawn towards her. "Glad you could make it." She hadn't known Oliver would be gracing them with his presence during the trip, her heart gladdened as the realistion that she'd know quite a few people going now. Eyes trained completely upon the professor she followed his every move, careful to appear completely absorbed in what he said; being a girl she could easily multi-task and guessed that nobody would take particular notice nor even care if she spoke a few friendly words to Oliver, so long as she didn't get caught by the teacher, everything would be ok. She might even have somebody to sit next to enroute to wherever it was they were actually going.
Smiling happily as Akira appeared, seemingly out of thin air all of a sudden, she marvelled at the way she glided serenely over to her seat and slipped gracefully into it, Charlie couldn't pull that off in a million years, even if she had meticulous tuition from the very best tutors. "Course you can," responded Charlie with a broadening smile, "it's lovely to see you again Akira." She was forced to whisper in a rather conspirative tone, but luckily her face, once controlled, showed less obvious excitement.

Maeve half grinned and half smirked at her Head of House. "So, Professor, if this isn't an eye opener for everyone of these students here, do I get the Firewhiskey?" she joked, containing her laughter. "Anyway, so no magic will be fine with me. If I can deal with that for a whole summer every year, I can deal a few days. No problem."
Maeve made a face that said "What did I do?" when Fagin had said Miss Malfoy was the problem until he added that it was her sister. Then she had to muffle her laughter. But, of course, he asked them both questions after that, causing Maeve to push some joking aside for a bit. After thinking for a few moments, Maeve said, "Well, I joined because I honestly find muggles fascinating. Like how they can entertain themselves without magic, with things like a television and computers, some things we don't have. They're smarter than a lot of us give them credit for.
"In all honesty, sir," Maeve added, "I've actually lived with Muggles before when I was a young girl. I had disobeyed my parents and they thought putting me where no magic was would be punishment. I found it a lot of fun, even if I acted as if I hated it. So really, I can't wait to start living with them."
Maeve stood up and walked over to Professor Fagin. Getting into her pockets, she pulled out her Exploding Snap cards and hled them out for him to take. "I guess I have to leave these here with you. I can live without my wand for a few days, but I'll have to play Snap the Muggle way, right? So take these, or I'll sneak them away." she half grinned half smirked again.
When Fagin directed his last question towards the whole group, she fully smirked and mock saluted him. "That is crystal clear, General Fagin!" she announcated each syllable loud and clear. Turning to face some Gryffindors, she remained smirking. "We promise not to hex each other." she turned back to Fagin. "A few Muggle pranks won't do any harm, though."
