Things were escalating quickly out of control, something that McNiven knew was going to happen when you had a mad women like Stella Harper leading the charge. The other clocked recruits in the battle where seeming to be enjoying the chaos and they were firing spells all over the place just to watch things explode or catch fire. McNiven however was more interested in the stand off that was now occurring between Stella, the red hairs aurora and Hubbles. Doe some unknown reason (although he was sure Stella would have some tale to spin for the Dark Lord) she had hold of the Headmasters wife and waving threats around like there was no tomorrow.
Jumping down from his table McNiven deflected a curse that had been aimed at him from behind the bar and walked slowly over to the stand off, his eyes fixed upon Stella. And that was when it happened, the shouted out those two little words and a green eerie light filled the pub. As the body slumped to the floor McNiven didn’t know what Stella was waiting for, she clearly was enjoying the moment too much of watching Hubbles in pain, however that didn’t last that long as he quickly rugby tackled Stella to the ground.
Reacting as quickly as he could McNiven pointed his want directly at Hubbles and shouted “Stupfy!” the red sparks hit the man square in the ribs and he went flying across the room like he was a rag doll. The Scot’s man didn’t care to look where the man had landed (although by the sound of it he had taken out a few tables with him along the way) but ran straight over to his companion and pulled her to her feet and started to drag her towards the door of the pub.
“What game are you playing at!” He snapped as he blew away some flames that were now licking at the entrance of the pub as they strode through into the outside world. A healthy fire was now spreading through the room and he knew it would not be long till those flames sound the liquor supply and he didn’t fancy being caught in that inferno. The other cloaked companions clearly had the same idea as one y one they started to vanish leaving them hellishly out numbered.

Ellie knew that madness was going on behind her and she wanted nothing else but to turn and run to Dan Hubbles side and fight with him like they had done so many times. However, this time it was different. Back to back with Harrison, Ellie was trying to avoid crucio curses left and right. She was face to face with a blonde haired witch who was rather calm in her attack on Ellie. Ellie tried to concentrate on the attack in front of her, but she heard the screams of Dia and she knew that her heart was telling her to break away. She couldn't leave Harrison though. Ellie was torn.
This made her slow and in her mental fight with herself, she dodged the next curse to come her way, only she dodged directly into it. Ellie screamed as she felt the curse slice her face from her nose back to her ear. She placed a hand on it, feeling the sting of a deep wound. The warmth of the blood running down her face made her feel dizzy. Her knees began to give out as the room became fuzzy. Her face was on fire, but through her hazy eye she could still see the calm face of the woman in front of her. A calm smirk came over her face at the sight of Ellie's pain. This made Ellie burn in anger. Raising her wand with the last ounce of strength she had, she pointed it at the heavy table to the side of her. "Wingardium Leviosa!" And once the table rose off the ground, Ellie sent it directly at the woman who had been expecting another head on attack. It hit her hard in the chest. The woman flew back and fell, the table landing on top of her. Ellie watched as the woman did not rise, and she slumped all the way to the floor.
Ellie knew the slice on her face was not just another little cut, that she was losing blood and it was effecting her in the worst way, her conciousness. She still felt Harrison behind her fighting, but she wished that he was holding her. The way that she had fallen and was laying on the ground. Ellie forced her eyes open to see what was going on. She could now see Dia struggling against Harper. She could hear Dan in the background, but not see him. Ellie's eyes closed again, the strength draining from her body with the blood. The sounds around her molding together.
Ellie heard Girty scream out. Her eyes darted open again as she saw the horror that had made Girty scream. Ellie could clearly see Dia slumped up against the wall. Her blue eyes were lifeless, her skin pale. Ellie groaned in pain and tried to force herself up, but only managed to flip onto her stomach. "No." Ellie muttered through a groan. With a yell she picked herself up. Her legs would not hold her weight, and she sunk to her knees. She was covered in her own blood, and she just knelt, watching as Dan jumped on Harper.
Ellie's eyes were flowing with tears, making her vision yet blurrier. She looked around, realizing she had lost Harrison. Kneeling helplessly, crying, bloody, and weak she screamed. "HARRI! HARRISON!"

Stella watched the light disappear from Dia Hubbles' eyes. The feeling of taking away a life filled Stella. It was as though electricity had filled her body and eminated through the room. It tickled at Stella and she grinned. Her grinned turned into a giggle, and then a laugh with echoed through the room above the screams of horror. Stella laughed through the pain of the others. It was a tremendous feeling. She felt invincible. The Dark Lord would be so proud. Now to finish the job. Daniel Hubbles was the next to die.
Stella glanced at him, the laughter still on her lips. She looked smug, happy, overjoyed that she had just killed his wife, and the aner in his eyes only tripled the feeling. Stella sarcastically pouted. "Oh, poor baby." She laughed at his pain and anger.
With that Stella found herself on the ground, Dan Hubbles had attacked her. What a man, trying to fight Stella with his fists. Stella felt the blow of his hand on her cheek and laughed at the pain. She struggled to get up from under him, and found that his rage was keeping her pinned down. Stella began to panic as the blows continued. She screamed and kicked at him, scratching at his face. In the midst of the battle, she felt Dan's body go limp. She pushed him off her and felt herself get pulled up. McNivin had come to her rescue, but was now dragging her away.
Stella's face was already bruising, and blood was running down from her lips where her cheek had been cut against her teeth. She was screaming and pulling back toward Dan and the scene. "No!" She screamed at McNivin. "No!" Stella felt the lick of flames as the fire spread feircly around them. "Let me go!" She struggled against McNivin's string arms. "He has to die! NO! Its not over!"
Stella broke free and ran back toward the limp body of Dan Hubbles. She stood over him. She felt so powerful, so large. He was at her mercy. She raised her wand and pointed it at the weak Headmaster. She laughed. "You can't win. You won't win." She said minaically.
Before she could get the spell out, and the job finished, the fire reached the bar and the massive amount of alcohol that was like a time bomb waiting to explode. The fire consumed the alcohol issuing forth with an explosion of flames. The power of the explosion sent Stella over the body of Dan Hubbles. She landed face first on top of a table. The back of her dress had been burnt away and her skin was raw with burns. The smoke had turned black and was pouring into the bar. She weakly looked around and saw the last of her acomplaces disaparate from the premices. Stella screamed with all her fury, her anger, her fear of failing. She had done just that, failed.
Stella got back to her feet and looked around, seeing the faces of those who would not only kill her, but even worse deliver her to the grip of the dementors, something she had been running from most of her life. She was too weak to fight them all off, even though it meant returning to the Dark Lord without fulfilling the task she had been given. She knew either way she was a dead woman walking, but her instincts kicked in, and with that she disapparated and returned to what she knew was going to be pain and torture for her greed and reckless behavior.

Everything that they had been taught for the past 7 years at Hogwarts in Defence Against the Dark Arts was now coming into play. Harrison held onto his wand desperately with one hand and clung onto Ellie’s with his other. They moved back to back and he found the comfort in knowing and feeling Ellie was there! With a flash cloaked figures started to appear in the room and right away Harrison was into the action, he was throwing curses in every direction, deflecting on coming spells and all the time looking over his shoulder worried about what was going to happen to Ellie.
However things took a turn for the worse, shards of glass flew towards Harrison quickly he dived forwards in an attempt to avoid the little daggers that were still following him. The manic laugh of the wizard who was playing with him sounded out and in all his life, in all his antics around the castle Harrison had never been as scared as this. Quickly diving behind an over turned table he felt the little bits of glass imbed themselves in his lower leg as it didn’t reach cover in time.
Gritting his teeth the Gryffindor could feel the warmth of the blood from the cuts soaking into his favourite pair of jeans. He did not have time to mourn their loss however as a green flash filled the pub and everything fell silent for a moment, or at least it seemed to. Poking his head above the overturned table Harrison saw to his horror the lifeless body of Dia Hubbles. His mouth became dry and he felt a pang of sadness for the headmaster as he leaped at Harper.
It seemed the dark wizards and witches didn’t have a sense of sympathy and one fired a curse right at the head of Harrison. Quickly deflecting it Harrison fired one back just as the witch disappeared. Then he saw the flames starting and the sound of his name being called.
“Ellie!”
Quickly diving out from behind his cover and ignoring the stinging pain of his ankle and made his way across the debris strewn floor. He saw Ellie sitting on the floor, blood pouring from his face; he found that more concerning then the dead body…something must have been wrong with him. Skidding on his knees to the side of his Hufflepuff Harrison reached out and wrapped his arms protectively around her.
“It’s alright Ellie…oh my god…Ellie.” His eyes had gone from the steady stream of blood coming from her face to the creeping fire trail heading to the bar. Shifting his body around Harrison created a protective barrier between Ellie and the bar as the fire finally reached the alcohol.
He could feel the heat on his back, the smell of burning wood, skin and hair but it didn’t matter. He could feel the splinters of wood embedding themselves in his back along with the hot ash and embers burning away his t-shirt. But none of that mattered all that mattered was the beauty girl he held in his arms.
“Ellie we have to get out of here.” He coughed as the smoke of the burning pub started to over power him. They no longer had to worry about the enemy witches and wizards but the fire, heat and smoke. The problem was Harrison knew Ellie would not have the strength to get out, so somehow finding the strength within him Harrison pulled Ellie into his arms and wearily stood up, letting out a yelp as he put pressure on his leg. But that didn’t matter; he needed to get Ellie out of here!
Slowly he carried her out, knowing that as soon as they got outside they would be free and he could get her to the Hospital wing as soon as possible. The cold air hit him in the face like a slap and as soon as he was enough passes away from the burning building he gently placed Ellie on the floor. Leaning over her Harrison gently moved her hair out of her eyes and pulled out his wand and with a shaking hand tried to fix the worst of the wounds on her face.
"I am so sorry this happened to you." He mumbled as his brow creased with concern.
