Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
At least, that was what Mrs Driver always told her daughter. Ever since she was a small girl Morsley has believed this. However since she had started her sixth year and work had become so crazy, and life at school in general breakfast seemed to be a waste of time that Moo did not have. She didn't mind though, it meant that she could spend that time doing homework in one of her favourite places: the library.
What fun!
On this particular Thursday morning, around eight, Moo was sitting at a table in the Ancient Runes section. All around her on the desk were piles of books, some her own, others that she had pulled from the shelves around her. She was not doing her Ancient Runes homework - as that was completed the previous day - but in this part of the library she always did her best work.
Well, she usually did. This morning though was a different story. She had had a dream about a particularly good looking man and she could not get him out of her head. Cheek resting on her fist, arm stretched out over the desk, Moo-head stared vacantly at her open notebook as her hand vaguely sketched his face. She had a dreamy smile on her face, her crystal blue eyes misted over.

Ellie had not slept. Actually it had been two days since she had been able to lay her head down to rest, close her eyes, and fall into dream world. Something was keeping her awake. Ellie thought it was guilt eating at her soul, but when Ellie left her room to wander the castle, the head girl could help but think that she didn't feel guilty. In that case, she couldn't imagine what was eating at her.
It was early when Ellie decided to make her latest round of Hogwarts. Playing the left/right game through the halls, she hoped to get lost and then find her way back. It was a great way to waste time and a better way to be alone.
However, this morning, Ellie found her way directly toward the library. She decided to turn in and walk among the books. Maybe something interesting would happen while she was passing the ancient runes section. Doubtful.
Ellie noticed that the library was rather empty for a school day. Ellie could only spot one girl. Ellie had wanted to be alone, but for some reason, she was drawn to sit down at the same table as the girl. Ellie, being head girl, knew most people in the castle, more so the upper years. This was a 6th year Ravenclaw, and for some reason Ellie was seeing a cow while thinking of her name. Ellie didn't really care, and sat across from her. The girl seemed to be in la-la land. Ellie frowned as she recognized the face of love. Ellie was about to run for dear life when she realized that it was her who had sat.
"Don't do it." Ellie said to the girl, looking down at her notebook. "Don't fall in love."

Morsley was imagining all the wonderful things that she and this dream boy could do together: long walks on the beach, picnics in the park, dinner and a shower of stars that occurred in the night sky. She sighed happily, misted eyes vaguely focusing on the drawing she was sketching. Moo got like this with every new boy she went on dates with and it quickly past but while that one boy was in her sights he seemed like he could be the one.
Moo-head did not notice the girl sitting across the table from her. She could have pranced around the table in a glittery cone bra and an exquisite feathery skirt and Moo would not have noticed. The Ravenclaw had all her attention fixed on one thing and one thing only. For such a bright and intelligent young girl, she could seriously daydream about far-off places and knights in shining armour.
It was only when the girl sitting across from her spoke that Morsley realised that she was there. Moo jumped, squeeked and sat bolt up right, eyes wide. Suddenly everything around her came rushing back to her: the library, the books stacked on the table, the homework she was meant to be completing, the fact that the headgirl was sitting across from her. Moo relaxed, a hand going to her chest, and she breathed out slowly. "You startled me," the sixth year admitted.
She dropped her quill, arched her back, and ran her hands through her long, dark hair. Soon she absorbed what the headgirl had said to her and she looked down at the sketch she had made. "What, this?" she asked, straightening the page in front of her. "Oh, don't you worry," Morsley said, giving the Hufflepuff across from her her best winning smile. "It's never love. Just ... excitement for something new."
Morsley looked closely at Ellie, her smile fading a little. The girl looked a little weary. Nosy as she was, Morsley asked, "you alright, deary?"

Ellie sat up straight in the chair as she waited for her words to sink in. They did more then sink considering the girl had not even notice Ellie's presence. The one time in days Ellie didn't want to be a wallflower, she had ended up one.
Ellie smiled at the sixth year. "Sorry, not my intention." Ellie said as she continued to peer at the girl's drawings. "Anyone I know?" Ellie said, completely butting into things that were none of her business. It was just a sketch, Ellie couldn't make out any real features, but by the look in the girl's eye as she sketched, she knew every one.
"Ahh, that is how it starts." Ellie said, leaning back in the chair, crossing her arms. "Excitement, happiness, feeling like you are going to throw up every time you think about him." Ellie looked at the girl. "Or does that just happen to me?" She smiled trying not to be overly negative.
"No, nothing wrong. I am your happy head girl ready for duty." Ellie smiled widely and itched her hand. "As one of my duties I am instructed to keep the students of Hogwarts safe, and that is what I am doing." Ellie reached over and turned the notebook toward her, picking it up so she could get a closer look. "Tell me about your new excitement." Ellie said, peeking over the notebook to catch the girl's eye. "But first your name...I keep thinking its like cow, or bull, or moooo."

Morsley inclined her head to the one side and smiled. "Oh, it's perfectly alright," Moo said, "I was far away." Moo looked down at her drawing with pride. She thought it was quite the likeness. When the girl inquired as to who the drawing was of, Moo turned it around and pushed it towards the Hufflepuff. "He's this dreamy Ravenclaw seventh year: Devon Clearwater."
Morsley brushed her hair out of her face, flinging it over her shoulder. "You must know him," Morsley queried, though it might not have sounded like it. "What do you think?" she asked, her blue eyes moving from the sketch to the Hufflepuff, "Does it look anything like him?" She had always sketched people, ever since she could remember, though she was never sure if others understood how she drew like she did.
"Throw up?" Moo-head stressed the words, her smile broad on her face. "Is that really how you feel?" Moo shook her head in shock. "I can't believe that. You're Ellie Rook. The Ellie Rook! Headgirl. Quidditch captain and drop dead goooorgeous! How could you possibly get nauseous from butterflies?" Morsley was never any good at hiding her feelings and they tended to, like now, stream out her mouth at an alarming speed.
"Sweetie," she said more gently now, cocking her head to the side again, "I think that's just you."
Moo-head listened to Ellie's encouraging words. Moo smiled serenely at her. Safety was a very important thing to this young Ravenclaw. She was a stickler with rules and regulations and part of that love was a love of making sure that everyone was safe. "Oh, sure," Moo said, her brow crinkling for a moment as she nodded, "I do feel much safer knowing that your on the prowl." Morsley grinned broadly at her.
Then the subject of her name came up. Moo grinned when Ellie ran through what she thought she remembered at the Ravenclaw's name. "Yes," Moo chuckled, "you're close. Friend's call me Moo-head. Name's Morsley Driver, if you want to know." Moving back to the topic of the boy, Moo tucked her dark hair behind her ear and looked down at the drawing, moving it half way between to two witches. "He approached me after dinner last night and first thing he said to me was, 'You want to go out with me this weekend?' And that was that."
Moo looked up at Ellie, still smiling. "You seem very against the whole dating thing?"
