She returned to her favorite haunt. She knew she would never be able to leave it for long. She stood there staring out on the setting sun, she had a lot to think about. She, Sarie Thimble, was very confused, and no book was going to help her. She didn't know what to think. She had never really thought about boys before. But now....
Now they seemed just to be the main subject. Who was cute and who wasn't, Sarie never got in to those things. She could think of many good looking boys, but she never spoken to them, why did they matter. Sarie was caught, she seemed to like two boys at once. Was that normal? She never really thought about dating, who would want to date a person who was mistaken to be a first year from the behind?
She was fourteen, she wasn't sure what she was suppose to be looking for. She wished she has someone to ask. Her dad, wasn't very good at this kind of thing. She wanted just to ask an other student, but Sarie didn't talk to others much. She had a few friends but none she was linked at the hip or anything with them.
She stared out at the sun. It was starting to sink behind the mountains, giving the effect that the whole lake was on fire. She sighed, it was a wonderful sight, but right now she was confused, and even the setting sun on the lake wasn't important. She flopped back down in the semi-wet grass. She really needed someone to talk to.

She was so bored that day, she had finished all of her homework early as was her usual routine. Then she patrolled the halls a bit that was part of her job as school prefect, but it was early yet and kids were still in their common rooms doing homework and what not, most of the students enjoyed venturing out when it was a wee bit later so once more Alexis found herself with nothing interesting to do. She thought about going back to the common room, but promptly decided against it who needed to deal with a bunch of jumped up little first years running around the common room making entirely too much noise, then listening to all the older years complain about them.
Alexis walked around the castle for a bit peering into empty classrooms, running into the school ghosts along the way. Once or twice she would run into a fellow student some of which would stop and have a brief conversation with her. This took a few moments but when it was all said and done Alexis was still a bit bored. The thought occurred to her to go to the Great Hall, but then again she had already been there and felt there was no need to make her return. So where to go now...
After a few moments thought she pushed herself away from the wall she was leaning against, the weather outside was pretty decent it might be nice for her to go walk the grounds a little bit get some fresh air and maybe sit by the lake to let the cool breeze envelop her the way she knew it would. Alexis liked this idea a lot so she took off at a pretty fast pace so that she was out the doors in minutes and as soon as she was outside she took the deepest breath and her face broke into a huge smile.
She immediately walked to the lake making sure to look at everything on the grounds as she went it was crazy because no matter how many years she had spent at Hogwarts it only seemed to grow more and more beautiful to her it always took her breath away. In no time she was at the lake nor was she the only one there "Hey there Sarie funny bumping into you here" she told the now 4th year Gryffindor. "How's it going?"

Sarie looked up. Seeing the older girl and smiled."Good," She gestured to the empty grass next to her. "Yeah, why would I be at the lake." She giggled. "How are you?"
She knew the older girl. They had several classes together. She wasn't sure what else to say. She looked out over the water. She loved the water, she hated to look way. She fiddled with the grass under her hands.

Alexis had known the younger girl for years, they often had classes together and Alexis rather liked her. Sarie from what she could tell was the kind of girl who sort of kept to herself, but that didn't bother the older girl because she knew what that was like, she often found herself wanting to be alone and not around others. As Alexis looked out over the water she sort of hoped that she wasn't intruding on the girl's alone time last thing she wanted to be was a lousy second wheel. On the other hand she didn't really want to go back inside either the lake was big enough for the two of them so if the girl didn't want the intrusion Alexis would be happy to move a ways away and give her that privacy.
"It's a nice day out, of course one would want to be outside to enjoy it, but um listen if you're not interested in having company just let me know and I'll move along a bit that way we can both enjoy the lake and we don't have to crowd each other."
Alexis wondered what the other girl would say either way Alexis wouldn't mind whatever she wanted of course she just didn't want to make Sarie feel weird or anything. Trying not to stare directly at Sarie Alexis looked around waiting...
