"Yes sir, right away sir, thankyou so much for this opportunity sir, I'll try my very best sir...Thanks again sir, it shouldn't take too long sir." Bowing low nearly grovelling upon the floor young and impetuous Gregory's heart pumped ten to the dozen as he gently closed the door to his superior's office.
On being summoned to the Head's of Department's office Gregory's heart ahd nearly failed him, wondering if he had done something wrong, perhaps those latest files upon Gabriella De Conti had not been up to scratch? He'd made them as detailed as he possibly could he had been certain. Though he had omitted her place of birth, her favourite quidditch team and Mother's Maiden name; perhaps they were critical to securing her arrest?
Such foolish thoughts surfaced in his mind and his whole body had begun to shake most strangely and ferociously. Rattling the door and stumbling inwards he had barely been able to speak, only the odd stuttering coming out as he barely breathed during the Head's speech upon "Effectiveness and Determination" which he would have to make a copy of right away, such invaluable advice was critical to furthering his career.
Instructions and time scheduling for his trip to Scotland had been reeled off by a clerk as the Head had glared through his bushy eyebrows at Greenwich, a damned insufferable young whipper snapper if ewver he had seen one entirely incapable of securing a criminal. Yet orders had come from above to send young Greg out into the real world, to gain valuable experience.
So it was that Greg left the office elation in his heart and thoughts buzzing throughout his mind, what a day for him. His journal would be filled tonight for sure, and for many weeks to come if his luck was in.
Off to Scotland ASAP via the Knight Bus as soon as his affairs were in order.
Of course he had been on numerous incurions, hunting down various criminals and bringing them to justice, but he had only been accompanying his superiors; watching and learning from everything they said and did.
But now he was given an assignment of his own, such happiness and enthrallment, he wasn't to know the infamous Hit Witch Quinn Locksley was already stationed at Hogwarts, and had been ordered to keep an eye on him.
