Introduction Hundreds of years ago, before the time of the Great Harry Potter, Dark Magic was cast upon the Hogwarts castle. It did not take effect then and has been left for almost two centuries, the magic festering, slowly building in power. No one knew about it and no one could ever have expected when it would strike.
The summer of 2104, the school was emptied; all students had gone home and all the staff had left the school for reasons that seem unimportant now. This Dark Magic was dormant. It reached its pinnacle, the height of its strength, under the noses of everyone. And it would only take a spark to set the world ablaze…or around 300 magical students.
*poof*
Let the craziness begin!

Basic Info Hogwarts is ill; the Dark Magic is like a virus that is attacking the purity and the ‘light’ magic that the school thrives on. Slowly the Dark Magic corrupts the magic at the school and is now affecting its residence.
Those who live in Hogsmeade also get affected (all be it on a smaller scale) with the corrupt magic making its way from the castle.
Symptoms of the Dark Magic – An Analogy
The Common Cold This is the symptoms that those who are Muggle Born shall suffer. Although magic runs in their veins their blood is not as entwined as those with deeper wizarding connections and so as a result they shall not change as much.
The Flu Half Bloods have more of a magical background then those muggle born and so the Dark Magic shall affect them more. These people will suffer a change in one or two traits of their personality…this is for the role player to choice.
Pneumonia Pure Bloods get it bad! Complete change in personality and how they interact…these are the one most likely to go crazy as with higher levels of magic in their blood it gives the Dark Magic much more to corrupt.
The Black Death This is for those with Special Abilities, the Dark Magic shall screw them over causing them to lose control and suffer the biggest shift in personality. For those who once counted themselves special now are the cursed.
