Warren wrinkled his nose as a chime signalled yet another couple had entered the tea shop. Hiding underneath his book, trying to block the image of "young love" from his sight, he grumbled lowly to himself. Sitting inside the flourished shop, alone with the smell of vanilla scented candles, was not his idea of an exciting trip to Hogsmeade though it seemed to be the only peaceful place in the entire village.
He had grumpily slammed down his mug of butterbeer and trudged out of The Three Broomsticks thanks to a group of chattering Ravenclaws next to him while Zonko's proved worse as he had been pranked at least five times by a couple of first-year Slytherins.
Rolling his eyes as the new couple took a seat behind him, calling each other the most disgusting of petnames, Warren flipped the page in his novel.

Nikole stepped into the tea shop and looked around. She had never actually went into the tea shop before, and found herself curious. The place was obviously made for couples, with it's decorations, and indeed, most of the people who sat in the shop were with a signifigant other. Her eyes scanned the tables of people before, stopping suddenly as she realized that someone was sitting at a table alone reading.
Wondering why someone would come into this particular place alone to read, Nikole started over toward the person. When she got closer she realized it was Warren, someone she hadn't spoken to in a while. She smiled, sitting down across from him. He was the only person, Nikole could think of that would come in this place to read. "Hey," she said to draw his attention from the book he was absorbed in.

Warren was pulled from his page at Nikole's greeting. Feeling a confused sort of relief - annoyed with another disturbance but relieved she wasn't another swooning couple - he answered awkwardly. "Hey." The tea in front of him was obviously cold by now, and he stared at it for a moment before giving in with a mental roll of his eyes. "No one's sitting there," he said pointedly, nodding over to the chair across from him.
The waitress that had been eyeing his lonely form looked immediately ecstatic and bustled over. "I'll get you another," she said to him with the warmth his tea was lacking before smiling at Nikole and picking up the tray.
After a moment of silence where Warren's eyebrows slowly made progress back to his normal frowning face, he picked up his book once more. He was not exactly the social-type.

Nikole sat down across from Warren as the waitress started bustling around them. She smiled at the woman's bright, cheery nature. As the waitress walked away, Nikole's eyes scanned the room once more. When she turned her attention back to Warren she saw that he was yet again reading. She stifled a few giggles, and when she finally knew that she wasn't going to start laughing uncontrollably spoke.
"Warren, I know that you're a bookworm and all, but honestly of all the places in the world to sit alone and read, why Madam Puddifoots. That doesn't seem like a very well thought out plan, especially for you." Nikole's smile had faded slightly into a faint one. Everything that she knew about Warren would have told her that he was smart enough to know better than sit alone and read in a place like this. It made him seem like such a lonely, sad person. Tucking a strand of hair that had fallen out of place back behind her ear she waited for him to stop reading and reply.
