Surname: Quackenpoker Forename(s): Matthew Donald Nickname: Matt, Donny, Quacky, Quaker, Pokey Age: Fifteen Birthday: April Thirteenth, born on a Friday no less Blood: Pure Blood Year: Fifth Sexuality: Straight, at least thats what he thinks House: Hufflepuff Patronus: Ring Tailed Lemur, He can hold the shape for a split second until it poofs away. Click Wand: Alder Wood, Kelpie Hair, Ten Inches
Wand Information: The Wood: Born on April Thirteenth, The Alder wood it is said bonds better with people who were born either on, or between March Eighteenth to April Fourteenth. The problem with Alder wood is that it is extreamly rare in Wands, it always has been since many wandmakers refuse to take wood from an Alder tree. The fact the 'bleeding' of this wood turns from white to red make a lot of Wandmakers nervous and prefer not to use it because of this. Most wands that are made of Alder often have strongly apposing cores such as Doxy Wings or a Phoenix Feather since the wood imposes balance. However, Matthew has got a wand which doesnt have an opposing feather, its quite comical sometimes to see him talking to his wand, trying to coax it to listen to him.
The Core: Kelpie hairs are incredibly tempermental cores, explaining their rarity. They were once common in Celtic wandmaking, however, the import of demiguise hairs has resulted in them falling out of favor. They have similar qualities to demiguise hair, and are powerful Transfiguration cores when they don't backfire spectacularly.
Hair Color: Red Hair Style: Long, and usually kept spikey Eye Color: Green Height: Five foot Six Weight: Eleven Stone
Personality: The Quack His last name has been in his family for generations, Quackenpoker, however the first part of this name seems to suit Matthew well as he is a bit off the scales. He tends to sit there, talking to his wand or various other inanimate objects when he has nothing better to do, it often seems like his head is rathermuch in the clouds. He never seems to be completley on parr with the rest of the world like he's somehow always inside a dream world, or some transluscent bubble at least. Matthew, even when talking to him, you cant help but feel as though he's not one hundred percent there with you, which is most likely the truth, Matthew often drifts off and becomes bored with conversation easily and therefor he tends to float off into his dream world again.
The Sensitive When Matthew takes enough time out of his bubble to actually look at the world and the few friends he has gained, he sometimes feels a bit sensitive towards certain things. There are certain words Matthew can not stand to hear, ribbon, tree, curtain and moist. If you say any of these words to him, he's likely to clamp his hands over his ears and recite a nursery rhyme very loudly. Its usually humpty dumpty or the colours of the rainbow. When he does this he tends to squeeze his eyes shut, and depending on how you look at it, he would either look like he's in pain or he's constipated. Another side of his sensitivity, if you can get past the idiotic side which he cant help being, he is extreamly caring. Though he may not always show it, he does care a lot more for others than he does for himself.
The Faces Matthew's face is usually blank, not giving off much about what he's thinking or what he's feeling. Though he does have facial expressions, he sometimes forgets to use them. If something has confused him for example, he will try to get his head around it, but he may be staring at you blankly without realising it. Occasionally there will be the time when he does show some facial expression though, he cant be a blank face all his life.
The Passion He is a very passionate person, though you wouldnt believe it to actually meet him. Like most of his family he cares deeply for books and is passionate about the characters in them, almost like a boy in the real world would be passionate in caring for his girlfriend or something. Matthew is able to vividly imagine the characters as though they are real, and occasionally he finds himself wondering if they are real or not. The way Matthew see's it, is there must be someone out there like the characters in the books, afterall, things had to be pulled from somewhere, even if it was threads rather than strings.
The Compressed You wouldnt believe he hides a temper. Matthew is able to compress his anger, bottle it up until the point where the lid flies off and he goes on a rampage like a wild bull. It doesnt happen often, and up till now, it has never blown at Hogwarts. But there is still time for it.

Family: Mother: Analise Quackenpoker Father: Micky (Michael) Quackenpoker Brother: Carlisle Quackenpoker Brother: Tommy Quackenpoker Sister: Karynne Quackenpoker
History: Birthplace: Ireland. Raised in: Isle of Man Current: London.
His Parents: Michael was born into a rather poor family. He had five brothers and three sisters, and because of this nobody really had anything that was there own, or that was new. Everyone had to make do with what they got and soon Michael learned to be thankful for the few items he did have. It was a tiny house in Scotland where the Quackenpoker's lived. Hardly enough room to accomodate a quarter of their family. It was a three bedroomed terrace house in the middle of the town Edinborough. The house had only one bathroom, so the bathroom time was regulated five minutes to each person in the morning, and fifteen minutes for each person to shower at night. Occasionally, a few of the children would get the large iron tub out, fill it with water from the kettle and cold water and bathe in the shed if they couldnt wait. Michaels father often said it was like living in the stone age.
Analise was in the same predicament as Michael. Her family were not wealthy, but there was only the three of them. Analise got new things only for her birthday and christmas, and they werent luxurious items either, it was things she needed like new shoes or a new coat. Her family lived in a small terrace house in the heart of London, things were easier in London when you lived in a poorer area as there was more choice of jobs. During the Holidays, when she was home from school, Analise would work in the corner shop to help the income of the small family. It wasnt an easy feat for her as she felt she had to mature a lot faster than she should have done.
She met Michael in school and did not like him all that much, knicknaming him Micky cause he always seemed to act like a mouse. She was a Ravenclaw and he was a Hufflepuff, and as far as she could tell, he was going nowhere fast. One night, she was idly walking down the grounds when she got lured into the forest, Micky saw her and followed her, she had become lost and was rather panicked, after Micky's quick thinking, he managed to get the two of them out and Analise became grateful and even started to like him.
He took her to the seventh year end of term ball and since then, neither have looked back. She married him and soon had her children, Matthew, Carlisle, Tommy and Karynne.
Matthew His family was not well off either, but enough to be able to live in a style of luxery. His parents never wanted their children to be deprived of anything so they managed to get most things new. Few things they had to share, like thier gaming consoles. He was born in Ireland, while his mum and dad were holidaying there, which came as a shock, three months early. Matthew was then raised in the Isle of Man, before they moved to London so Matthew could ge the train easier to school.
He never stood out, much like his dad. Though people knew who he was he was known as "the weird kid" and everyone pretty much leaves him to his own business. Like his dad, he was placed in Hufflepuff, having no qualities for any other house. Matthew isnt very smart, though he reads a lot, he doesnt have a lot of bravery and is in fact a coward, but he isnt sly either, the neutral consensus was he was to be placed in Hufflepuff and this is where he has lived part of his five years.
Even to his family, he is considered a bit strange, he will sit there talking to inanimate objects, like his mothers ornimants, staying silent for a moment, and then talking again, almost as though he is having a full blown conversation. They suspect he prefers to talk to them rather than people. Matthew doesnt socialise much and isnt known for it either, but he doesnt care, he socialises enough with things that dont resemble real people. This includes paintings.
Somehow, he has managed to pass the year every year and advance, but for some reason, Matthew never remembers taking the exams, he can be seen a day after, stood outside the hall waiting for an exam to start, or he will ask someone when the exam is due to begin, panic when he realises its over and have to check with a professor that he was actually there. He never misses them, but he can never tell you how he got there or when he left.
Starting his fifth year, Matthew intends to actually remember everything this year, instead of big blank patches. Maybe he should invenst in a remberall since he seems to forget what he has done, or something he needs. There have been times when he forgets to attend classes during the day, and tries to go at night instead, the teachers by now are used to him, and often guide him to his next lesson to make sure he actually goes. His dorm mates also have to remind him that he has homework, or he needs to sleep as sometimes he forgets his body needs rest and tends to wander for days without sleeping. He does something different every year, maybe this year he will remember the stuff he forgets, but it is highly unlikely.
