Maria walked into Honeydukes. She had gotten the sudden craving for something sweet. As she looked around at all the things that could potentially satisfy her sweet tooth, she found herself being rather indecisive. A classic chocolate frog was always a good choice. However, her mood might better be suited by a licorice wand. She looked around at the goodies finding herself at a loss of what to get.
After a moment of standing in the middle of the store, completely zoned out as she tried to decide what to get, someone bumped into her bringing her back to the world. She hadn't realized that she had stopped right in the middle of where everyone had to walk to manuever around the store. "Oh, sorry," she said in a distant, careless voice as she turned to see who it was that had bumped into her.

Blake had been heading back toward the castle after his usual Hogsmeade rounds, though as he walked past the entrance of the hondukes sweetshop, he found the sweet aroma tantalising. How could he resist such sweet warm treats on a chilly day such as this. Stopping he fumbled around in his pockets searching for spare coins. He found 5 galleons amongst a few sickles. 'Plenty!' he thought to himself and he headed into the warm confines of the shop.
As he headed toward the counter, where the most unusual sweets tended to reside. Some younger student, opened a choclate frog, and it leapt across right infront of his path. Dodging it he leapt slightly to his left. Unfortunately, most unlike himself he lost his footing and began to tumble backwards. He felt himself collide with something.
Blake sprang back upto his feet once more, perhaps to pretend that he had not actually lost his balance or just to check what he had knocked into. He turned around to see a hufflepuff of his own year stare back at him. "Ah, I do apologise, but you know kids these days.. can't take them anywhere. I didn't cause you any harm did I?" He asked quite concerned.

Maria looked at the boy, smiling slightly at his concern. "I am perfectly fine," she said with a shrug. He went to school with her and she knew they were in the same year, but for some reason Maria could not remember this boy's name. As she stood looking at him trying to remember his name the smell of the sweets called her attention back.
"Hmmm...." She looked around the shop, and pouted a little. There was absolutely no way she was going to be able to decide what she wanted with so many choices. "Way too many options..." she said almost forgetting that the boy was standing there. "What do I want?"

"Ah, that is ok then. But please allow me to pay for whatever you are thinking of buying. It is the least I can do after bumping into you." Blake said with an apologetic smile upon his face. He could not put a name to her face, which troubled him. Surely he should know the names of all the pretty girls in the school by now, but alas he had failed. She then turned away, so he could not ponder over her name any more. Not willing to let the acquaitance die, he responded to her non-directed questions.
"Yes indeed, so much to choose from! How they expect those amongst us whom are indecisive to choose within a reasonable space of time is lost on me!" He declared with much amusement.
Blake eyes swept the counter infront of them, looknig at the many random delicacies. "Perhaps something simple.. yet tasty. For example a sugar quill always useful and ever so tasty! Though I think I may go for something more unusual!" His eyes had been captured by a bowl of small red apparently popping sweets. Though what they were called he didn't know, clearly a newer concotion.

"Huh?" Maria said her attention going back to the boy. She had just assumed that after checking if she was okay that he would simply go on about his business. "Oh, well, yes." Her eyes left him once more to scan the sweets of the shop.
Turning back to him she saw his gaze fixed upon a bowl of small, red, popping treats. "How interesting," Maria said wandering over in their direction, stepping around a few people as she went. Maria had always had a sweet tooth and was a fairly frequent visitor of candy shops; however, she had never before seen this particular candy.
Turning back to the boy she said with a smile, "These look like a fascinating choice. It is always good to try new things." She looked back at the candy and then remembering that she didn't even know the boys name, she quickly asked, "Oh and by the way, I haven't the faintest idea what your name is, so assuming that you don't know mine either. I'm Maria."
