Appearance

Standing at 5’11”, Evander is slender everywhere, not being particularly muscular. However the small muscles he does have are defined by his tight and pale skin. Evander has midtone blue eyes that can look grey at times, and quite long eyelashes for a male that make his dull eyes stand out a little more. His nose is straight, not how he would like it at all as he feels it doesn’t look quite right on his face, but he lives with it.

Evander has full and wide lips, making for a wide smile whenever he decides to that is. He also has one cheek dimple on his left cheek that is visible most of the time. He can never decide between having longer hair or shorter hair and usually flits between the two, both lengths still kept stylishly messy however. His hair is dark brown and when the light hits it can look a little lighter in colour.

Personality

Evander is a good looking guy and he knows this. He can come across as a little arrogant when asked about himself but having no siblings he has become used to only talking about himself and looking after himself, it was natural to become self involved. He likes being vain however and doesn’t try to hide the fact that he is as vain as everybody thinks he is. He certainly takes pride in his appearance, but he doesn’t let it rule his life...fully.

Evander can be seen as an arrogant being in many ways; he also belittles people with his sense of humour and wit and seems to demean them when giving his opinion. Most of this comes from the tone of his voice and he doesn’t mean any harm by it, but it’s just the way he says things.

He can have a weird sense of humour and will often laugh at things other people really do not find funny at all. He finds irony hilarious and if often the one who points and says “I told you so” to prove he was right all along. He dislikes to be proven wrong but when it happens he takes it as a personal vendetta against him and will hold a grudge for a long time and often blame those around him at the given time too.

History

Born to Owen and Charlotte Burke in Brittany, France, Evander Derrick Burke was born to a French Mother and a Scottish Father. Owen and Charlotte had met in France when he was working in a hospital as a mediwizard while she was a Teacher at Beauxbatons, teaching Potions to the all girls school.

A couple of years after first meeting, the pair moved to London where Owen was offered a job at St.Mungo's and gladly took it, happy to be back in the United Kingdom once again, and to finally settle down and start a family with his now wife. They married in Paris, France before they moved to England to start their new life.

Deciding to start a family, a 32 year old Owen and a 29 Year old Charlotte soon became pregnant and kept the baby's sex a surprise until the birth.
9 months later, Evander was born and the couple were thrilled to of started off their family, Owen even moreso because it was a boy. Unfortunately, complications arose and after a small operation, Charlotte was unable to have any more children. Instead of being distraught, she was just happy that she was blessed with a baby boy before she was unfortunate enough not to be able to have any.

Evander seemed to thrive more everyday and he quite enjoyed his own company. His father was always at work and his mother was so preoccupied with being a mother and a maid that she didn't have much time to play with Evander as she wanted. He was never out of love but Evander liked to spend most time with himself and his imagination anyway. Evander's mother now runs 'Borgin & Burkes' as it was an ancestor run shop. His father is still a Mediwizard in St Mungo's.
