The door to the classroom remained closed, sealed with the promise of re-opening under the guidance of a professor who's reputation at Hogwarts was only too-well known, if only for her cruel and calculating demeanor as a student. Though if thrill-seekers dreaded signing the parchment posted upon its black, wooden surface, it was Erys who dreaded it more; surely she would be unable to refuse admittance to those of.. Less desirable houses, would she not? The leniant structure of the acceptance curriculum at this place was comical at best. Even still, the parchment was posted, with only the words: Sign your name only if you are prepared for what you are getting yourself into.written plainly there, half-hidden by the shadow of the doorway. Oh, this would be an interesting term indeed.

Rian had heard that the infamous Erys Grace was going to be teaching that Rian had decided to sign up. He'd spoken to Pierce about it but as Rian stood in front of the sign-up sheet he couldn't remember what his friend had said about it. Reading the warning for the third time, Rian took a deep breath before writing on the parchment on the door:

It had been in the back of Ellie's mind after all the crazy things that had been going on in the school that she would be taking the Dark Arts class the following year. Now that the year had come around, Ellie knew exactly what she was getting into. The fact hat Erys would now be not only her superior in years, but now also as a Professor somehow did not damper Ellie's conviction about this. It would make things more interesting, and perhaps a little more annoying, but she would get through. After all, Ellie now had some idea what she wanted to do after Hogwarts, and it involved fighting the Dark Arts. She figured she would have to understand them before she could be any real use.
Ellie strongly walked up to the sign up sheet. She signed her name heavily on the paper.

Echo couldn't wait for the new semester to begin. She'd heard the Dark Arts class was being offered again by a recent graduate of the school and she was thrilled. Did students seriously expect that right out of the chute they could take over a class at Hogwarts of all places and be treated with the same honor and dignity as the wizened old witches and wizards who actually had real life experience and advanced training with the subjects they were teaching? Not to mention the issues of recent classmates disrupting lessons. This was going to be an event for the ages, and there was no way Echo was going to miss out on it.
She reached the ever ominous shadowy doorway, with a solid, firmly locked door hiding the classroom, and nearly burst out laughing at the warning label. 'Oh, dear, what am I getting myself into?' she thought to herself, wondering how anyone could be stupid enough to sign up for a Dark Arts class and expect to be met by fluffy bunnies and rainbow lollipops. How daft did you have to be? No matter. Echo had a very clear idea of what she could expect from this class, and was, in fact, quite looking forward to what she expected to find in the class. She quickly pulled a quill from her satchel and scrawled her name at the bottom of the list:
XOXO Echo Keir, Seventh Year Gryffindor. XOXO

The quill was snatched from Echo's finger tips just as she rounded off her 'O'. Leaning over her shoulder, Noah grinned. "Always so keen to be the star of the show, Echo." He wrote his name underneath and hooked a free arm around her shoulder simulataneously. "Let's make this a duet, shall we?"

Glancing at the rather neat scrawl, Noah returned Echo's quill by sticking it behind her ear. Using his arm as leverage, he turned them away from the door. "Do we have dirt on Grace as a third year? ..."
