Anthony Evans
Fifteen Fifth Year Muggleborn Gryffindor
Intensely terrified of heights
"Do you think it's dreadfully obvious my print is getting larger?"
Anthony hoards many methods of slacking on his schoolwork. He is most famous for spelling his hair fuchsia in an attempt to get out of potions when meaning to inflict himself with a common flu. Of course, that was as a second year, and he is much more dignified with his spell-work as of late. Unbeknownst to him, he is indirectly learning all of his required knowledge from reading books and practicing magic on how to avoid reading books and practice magic - an irony none of his friends are willing to let him in on.
Besides his deteriorating work ethic, Anthony holds many qualities he prides himself on. His ability to send girls running in the opposite direction not being one of them.
But Anthony is close with his housemates, and is often seen with them (once his hair returned to its normal colour, that is) in various places around the castle... Though, if one is hoping to find him, the library is probably not the best place to start.
Unlike his peers, Anthony is not obsessed with quidditch. He supports the Tornados purely because his dorm-mates do, and they reciprocate by commenting on a recent football game every so often. For most wizards, muggleborn and pureblood alike, Anthony's lack of interest in the famous magical sport is hard to fathom.
Then again, no one knows Anthony is deathly afraid of heights.
"My mum loves that I'm a wizard. I think it's only because she's recently discovered what Howlers are."
Anthony is the only child of two rather opposite characters. His mother, a constant worrier, was not pleased to send him off to Hogwarts. In fact, she had almost insisted she go with him for his first year, much to Anthony's mortification, due to her being beyond skeptical of such things. His father, however, pulled her protective wings back, and allowed the boy to ride the Hogwarts Express to a castle that would eventually become his second home.
As both his parents are Muggles, Anthony finds it difficult to write home and tell of his adventures. Though over the five years he's been at Hogwarts, his parents have evolved from what they once were, taking pride in their son being chosen to attend the school. In fact, both have become a little obsessed with trivial magic, often coming back from Diagon Alley with obvious evidence of a shopping spree - much to Anthony's amusement.
