Edan Ashby
Age: Sixteen
Year: Sixth
House: Ravenclaw
Blood: Muggleborn
Wand: Eleven and a half inches, carved from an aged Ash Tree and grey in colour. Though he believes it is simply dragon heartstring, in the wand's core is a long strand of skillfully structured, yet fake, demiguise hair that causes the majority of Edan's spells to appear invisible at first. Eventually, when completely irrelevant, they reappear due to the hair, ultimately, being fraudulent.
Patronus: Flying Fox
However, upon becoming his friend, Edan is alarmingly good-natured. Despite it being nearly impossible to see him thoroughly enjoying himself normally, Edan is known to be somewhat of a jester. He enjoys understanding the things that are invisible to others - the unimportant things - but above that, thoroughly enjoys not letting others in on the joke.
In the end, the quality that best defines Edan is his lack of ability. Though he is mildly witty, he is seen as the 'squib' of Ravenclaw. Like a squib lives in a magical world without ability, Edan resides in Ravenclaw without any obvious academic intellect. It sets him apart in a way that he is not oblivious to, and even as he has outwardly assimilated into his House, it is as if he's there as a last resort.
When flushed with laughter, embarrassment or adventure, Edan's entire demeanor changes. His features mould until they become equivalent to a child's innocence, a flattering look for him.
Edan, who doesn't care for angst, lives quite happily in his situation. Though, because of the lack of company, at a young age, acquired a small friend in the form of a furry bat that took up habitat in his attic.
It wasn't the most ideal pet of sorts, but the story is tragic all the same. The exact day that Edan's wand was delivered to his house - after being handmade and fitted especially at his father's insistence (and ignorance) - his friend had, unfortunately, disappeared. And though Edan was positive that for months afterward he could hear the rustle of leathery wings coming from upstairs, his pet wasn't seen again.
Though, it certainly wasn't the last time things just seemed to disappear where Edan was around either.

Personality:
Edan is defined almost entirely by his choice of company. He is undeniably picky with those he befriends, and yet when they are chosen, they are almost distastefully ordinary - even unlikable. In turn, he is perceived as less than worth the trouble to impress. However, upon becoming his friend, Edan is alarmingly good-natured. Appearance:
Edan has a somewhat severe look. His complexion is pasty, almost uninviting. Accenting such a look is his inky black hair, short and ruffled with agitation, as well as a pair of feverish grey eyes that are framed by thick black glasses. When flushed with laughter, embarrassment or adventure, Edan's entire demeanor changes. His features mould until they become equivalent to a child's innocence, a flattering look for him.
History:
Both Edan's father and mother live off an inherited fortune earned mostly from his late grandfather's law firm. They are primarily socialites and attend business parties without much thought to their son.Edan, who doesn't care for angst, lives quite happily in his situation.
