She had finally done it. She got what she had wanted all this time. She thought it was never going to happen. She thought she'd end up keeper of the keys for ever but no she wanted it and she got it. A teaching position at the school she loved so very much. A graduate of Ravenclaw house she had always wanted to return to school and teach but there hadn't been anything available when she applied so she took another job and bided her time.
Low and behold History of Magic became available. It was like a dream come true and when she was told the position was hers she had to come out and celebrate. What better place than the Three Broomsticks. It was always her favorite place growing up and nothing had changed now. As she opened the door she was greeted with a smile which she returned easily. Asking for a firewhiskey she sat at the bar enjoying her celebratory drink.

Well, this was reason for a little celebration. Her first day of teaching had gone relatively well, though Miss Hubbles seemed to react a little badly to the lesson plan. Just because Starsmore had gone over that topic last term, didn't mean everyone was protected and covered. New students and the vampire attack before the holidays called for another lesson on the subject. Caroline loved how exciting the topic was, surprised and delighted that the Slytherins participated the most out of the class. She always knew her former house was destined for great things.
Thinking this now caused her to grin, as she entered the Three Broomsticks a little while after Potter had. Nodding her head at a smiling waitress, she peered around for a place to sit, seeing her fellow faculty member at the bar. "Hey.. Victoria was it?" Smiling, the woman sat down on the seat beside her, ordering a firewhiskey and some water. "I'm Caroline Croll, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor." Planting a few Sickles in the bartender's hand, she gestured for him to keep the change before turning back to Victoria. Taking a nice swig from her drink, she licked her lips, placing it back on the table.
"So are you a new teacher or..?" Caroline asked, curious to know. She'd heard that Potter was the Keeper of the Keys before landing a spot as the History of Magic professor. She must be feeling as excited as she was at the moment.[/color]

Watching her drink appear right in front of her Vicky smiled so brightly it was just dazzling. A man a few seats away seemed to think so too because he had started staring at her without blinking. When she turned her violet eyes square on him he turned shy and looked away. Giggling to herself she took a sip of her drink, allowing the cool liquid to make it's way down her now parched throat. It burned a little bit, but that lasted all of two seconds before it felt good going the rest of the way down.
As she placed the glass back down on the bar she heard the bell above the door chime and looking around she noticed that one of her co-workers had just entered. She was trying to remember her name, she was new at the school and had taken over the Defense Against the Dark Arts position. Too late she didn't know Vicky thought to herself as she came over, luckily though she made everything easier by introducing herself Vicky smiled at her and said.
'Yes it is Victoria actually it's very nice to meet you Caroline and congrats on the teaching position. That's a very coveted job around here. I know a few people were vying for it. [/b]
She took another sip thinking that she was probably one of the few who hadn't wanted the position simply because she knew how much was expected and she wasn't sure she was up to the task. No she was fine with History of Magic, granted it wasn't the most thrilling subject in the world but perhaps she could change that. Remembering that Caroline had asked her something Vicky said.
'Oh yes I just got appointed History of Magic Professor. Keeper of the Keys was fine but not what I really wanted to do. I'm so happy the job opened up, I'm so excited I can't wait for my first class. What about you have you taught your first class yet? How did it go?'[/b]
She was really curious, she had never taught before and was hoping to find out a little bit about what to expect.
