Victoria went after what she wanted with gusto. As soon as she heard there was an opening as charms professor she jumped at the chance. Not that she minded teaching History, she just always saw herself teaching something where magic was actually used. At first she didn't think it would happen, she thought she would remain teaching history of magic for another term, but someway somehow her prayers were answered and now she was heading to her new classroom. The new kitten she bought in her arms. Sebastian made a nice addition to her life. He kept her company when no one else would.
As she placed him down on the floor he gave her a wicked glare, before jumping from the floor onto her chair then onto her desk. "You cheeky little devil, floors not good enough for you huh." Vicky said in an amused voice as she pet Sebastian's head. Taking a deep breath she moved away from the desk and took a look around the room. Everything was nice and neat, books shelves in the back of the room were piled high with books on charms. The desks were scrubbed clean and gleaming, the windows had been washed, the floor polished. It looked like a new room. Vicky was satisfied.
Opening the blinds to light the light shine in Vicky realized how much she preferred this room to her old one. "Nice digs huh kitty. I'm moving on up in the world," she joked before moving toward the board to write her name. People knew who she was, after all she'd been teaching there for over a year, not to mention she was head of Gryffindor. But not too many students took History of Magic so for those few she wrote Victoria Potter on the board with her wand. Then she sat down to wait for students to arrive while she absentmindedly pet Sebastian.

Post by Kendal Montgomery on Dec 9, 2008 1:05:44 GMT
Classes were a normal part of life here at Hogwarts. Even if it wasn't what you wanted to do, you were left with little choice. Teachers didn't deal with excuses especially if you don't have an note from the nurse saying you were gravely ill. So on this day Kendal Montgomery could be found walking the halls to get to her first class of the day Charms. On her way there she started to wonder if the rumors were true about Professor Potter taking over. Teachers changed so often there it was always a possibility.
When she entered the room she got her answer. The rumors were very true. So now she moved from History of Magic to Charms teacher. Many times Kendal wondered how the teachers expected them to get a proper education if they were constantly changing. Once you got used to one person and their teaching style 'poof they were gone and someone else was in their place.
Oh well, there was not much she could do since she wasn't in a position of authority. Walking in the room, a polite smile on her face, she said good morning to the professor. There on the desk was a cute kitten. Kendal couldn't resist the urger. Walking over to it she bent down a little to pet the creature. "Oh my how adorable. Does he or she have a name?" She asked Professor Potter as she continued to stroke the pet.

“I brought the tea!” Girty stated proudly as she kicked open the classroom door and hurried through the slalom of table to the front desk and placed the tray down. The crockery on it clinked together with the force and with a small grin over at the new Charms Professor Girty gave a small ‘tar dar’ hand gesture before going into a full ramble about the tray’s contents just in case Victoria was a little short sighted. “I left the tea black as I have no idea how you like it so this little jug is full of milk and this bowl is full of sugar, although no one should really have sugar in tea and if you do I will have to…oh a Kitten!”
No one could say that Girty did not get easily distracted off task easily. She did not know Professor Potter had a cat, saying that she did not know much about this Professor at all, as the lack of a perfect cup of tea waiting for her showed. As a Hufflepuff people often made the assumption that small, cute furry animals would be right up her street, the only problem was that recently if Girty saw a helpless like creature she often wondered what it would be like to sink her teeth into its tender flesh!
Shaking herself out of this minor lapse in concentration Girty gave a small cough and picked up her own mug of tea (naturally the mug being bright yellow) and that was when she finally noticed that there was actually another student in the room. “Kendal! How…ok I need to wear my glasses more.” It was one of those awkward situations when you wished for something to happen that would make everyone forget about the previous moment meaning that Girty could stew on her own stupidity in silence. “Care for a brew?” Girty asked nervously as she pointed at the tray of tea.

So far only one student entered her classroom a Hufflepuff she knew to be called Kendal. Vicky had to grin to herself, the former professor of this class was a Hufflepuff one she knew very very well. Smiling at the girl Vicky wondered where everyone else was so far. This sort of seemed like deja vu to her, she didn't seem to have the popularity a lot of the other professors had. Granted she was told many of the boys enjoyed her, though she knew it was for very inappropriate reasons. At this point it wouldn't really matter so long as they showed up.
The door burst open once more and in walked in a gorgeous dark haired whirl wind also known as Girty Hubbles. Vicky had almost forgotten that she was getting a teaching assistant, and that assistant happened to be the little sister of the man she was currently...This was probably going to be the weirdest situation she ever found herself in. It was hard enough trying to act normal around Dia now she had to spend a few hours locked in a room with Dan's sister.
Now she had to figure out how to get past this one day, if she could do that then she could do anything. Girty apparently didn't come in empty handed she brought her some tea not something Vicky usually drank but she didn't want to hurt her feelings so she politely accepted the cup "Thanks so much that was sweet of you to do, though you didn't have to." Taking the offered condiments she poured them into the cup and then tasted the tea. It wasn't bad she could deal with it.
Girty was all energy as soon as she noticed another student she was bubbly and light hearted. It was hard not to like the younger girl. She was charming just like her older sibling. Must run in the family so far all the Hubbles she met seemed to be able to charm her. "Yes Kendal is already a model student showing up early. I think I may just have to give your house some points for that one and please feel free to have some tea." Why not give some points to someone who deserved it after all she was the only one there and she manged to get herself there on time, early even.

Sarie just finished packing her bag. She threw her hair in a loose pony tail that looked like it was about fall out as she headed down the tower steps. She was off to Charms. She push open the fat lady and waved to her as she walked down the hallway.
She reached the stairs. Her attention was pulled to the paintings on the wall. They used to bright and wonderful things now the looked dark and cruel even of the one of the girl waved hello to her every day. She was started to wonder if some thing was wrong. She was starting to think to bring it to a teacher's or the headmaster's attention. She sighed and adjusted her bag and walked into the charms class room.
There was Professor Potter Girty Hubbles the headmaster's little sister, and a Hufflepuff she didn't recognize. " Hello Professor, I guess I'm a little early." She said as she dropped her bag on a desk.

She was sitting back enjoying the cup of tea her teaching assistant brought for her and marveling to herself how things change. One day she was simply the games keeper here at Hogwarts, then by some lucky chance she managed to procure the History of Magic teaching position. Try as she might to make it work it didn't then another lucky break charms become open and she jumped at the chance. Low and behold she got it and on top of all that she also became head of Gryffindor house her old house when she went here. That was the most prestigious honor anyone could receive and it was hers all hers.
Yes, in her short time here things had certainly come full circle. The possibilities were endless now and she knew that. Her career was taking flight, too bad she couldn't say the same for her love life which was a huge mess. There was no time to worry about that she had more important things to worry about like where was everyone.
As the door opened again she smiled joyously as she caught sight of Sarie. No matter what you could always count on the young Gryffindor to show up to class each and every time. "Well good morning Sarie glad to have you in my class. Seems the other students are having a lie in. So just have a seat we'll get started soon. Would you like some tea perhaps. Girty was nice enough to bring some and there should be enough for one more." Vicky conjured a mug out of thin air and set it down on the desk in case Sarie was interested. She kept eying the door wondering when the rest would show up.

Charms were never his thing, saying that lessons were not normally Harrison’s thing mainly because of the whole process. You had to wake up early, you had to arrive on lesson on time, you had to sit in silence, you had to listen and then talk on command. That whole process was just too demanding for the laid back Gryffindor and it was a vey rare thing for him to actually make the effort to go to class. But today he had, he had got up, spent an hour getting ready and had slowly wondered down the long corridors of the castle making his way to the third floor and more importantly the Charms classroom.
However as the Gryffindor strut into the classroom he was suddenly hit by how he was the only male. Everyone in the room was female and there they all were standing around the teacher’s desk, drinking tea and stroking a cat. Harrison had hardly made it through the doorway and for the briefest of moments he thought about simply turning around and walking right back out again. But he was a Gryffindor and more importantly he was not a coward.
“Good Morning Ladies!” His voice was confident and he had put on his best smile for the occasion as he casually walked towards the females. Slipping into one of the tables positioned in the centre of the room Harrison leaned back on his chair and but his feet up on the desk. “What shall we be learning today Miss Potter?”

For a moment Vicky became distracted. These things happened often to the brunette but she just went with the flow. Dan was on her mind this time he was always on her mind which was probably dangerous, hopefully there were no occlumens in the room or she would be in a world of trouble. Her thoughts were highly inappropriate. After a second or two longer than was necessary she shook her head to clear it the time had come to focus on the classroom once more.
Taking a sip of her tea she watched as the door to the room opened and the first male entered. He was from her own house Gryffindor and she was very delighted. Harrison Greg a boy with an interesting reputation. Vicky smiled hoping he would make an interesting addition to the class. He went to take a seat and Vicky nodded at him.
Another sip of the tea while she pondered how this class was going to go. This was her first as Charms professor, she didn't know how to react to that. This was something she had wanted for so long and the thought of messing up was like a weight pushing down on her. Then the question was asked, what would she be teaching today. There was a moment of panic that settled in on her just then. Stupid as it was, she couldn't help it. In most aspects of her life she was usually confident but teaching always made her nervous.
Making herself appear calm, cool, and collected she smiled brightly at him answering "well my first day teaching this so I thought I might take it a little easy. I think household charms would be a good way to start off the term. I know I hate cleaning the muggle way, don't you" she laughed it was at her own joke but then if she didn't laugh most of the time no one else would.

Cool calm and collect was the way that Harrison Greg liked to play it and as he sat with his feet up on the desk he could not help but grin over at the other females in the room. At this point most of the males in the school would be begging for more testosterone to walk in through that door so he could have someone to be manly with. But when surrounded by women of all ages Harrison was in his element, his cocky behaviour of course automatically turned a few heads either in admiration or in disgust but you could not deny that Mr Greg was a gentleman. Blake and himself often called themselves the modern gentleman, they had moved with the times, they would chat up girls like any modern male but then they would also hold doors open and help fair maidens back to their feet as they tripped face first to the floor.
Even now as Professor Potter described as to what they would be doing in today’s lesson he smiled happily at her (mainly because she had not yelled at him to sit properly in her lesson by taking his feet of the table) and as she chuckled to herself the Gryffindor could not help but laugh along sharing her own private joke.
“I love it Professor.” He stated plainly. “If there is a way to make my life easier and give me more time to do the stuff that is important to me then I am eager to learn.”
Turning his head to study the rest of the girls in the classroom the Gryffindor swung his legs off the table, put his chair back on all four of his legs and took the chewing gum out of his mouth and stuck onto the bottom of the desk. That was his signal that he was ready to learn, which for Harrison Greg was a rare thing indeed.
