Coeus is an unusual sort of guy. He is extremely inquisitive and highly observant. He can most often be found wandering around the Herbology green houses, inspecting plants with a strange sort of curious fascination. The same sort of fascination he approaches the world with.
He's an unusually classy fellow; he believes in the old-school gentleman. He holds open doors for ladies, stands up for the little guy, and wears a tux and tails whenever the oppurtunity arrives for it. He's definately a flirt, being a fourth Veela it's impossible not to be, but he flirts respectfully, with every intention of showing honour to whatever femme-fatale may catch his attention.
Ironically blunt and devious humour is forever running its way around Coeus' head. He sees the lighter side of any situation. Even simple, everyday oddities about Muggles tickle his funny bone madenningly.
As is true with many Ravenclaws, Mr. Linde is the deep-in-thought silent type.. though there's a twist. Where many Ravenclaw's are seen with their noses in books, charting the progress of a baby mandrake, or building Ancient Runes puzzles for each other, Coeus likes to be out in the world! He prefers learning by action and experience rather than by book; though book learning is not lost on him, either.
An extremely wise and blunt young man, Coeus is not afraid to call 'em as he sees 'em. If he thinks you're acting strangely, he'll tell you... in detail. Not because he's trying to be mean, simply because he has the tendency to over-analyze things. Though, his strength in analyzing also makes him a stable body to turn to for advice or a second opinion.
Coeus loves to laugh and have a good time, especially when there's something thought provoking about the venture. He loves puzzles and mind games, and especially enjoys to challenge his friends with such things.



Coeus has a less fascinating history than most. His mother, Candace Rhoda-Linde, was half Veela, whose mother was a full Veela. Unfortunately, his already gifted mother pushed her limits and attempted to become an Animagus, ultimately resulting in her insanity and inevitable death. (You knew it was coming!)
His father, Elrich's family is primarily Dutch, and Coeus is quite pleased with it. Coeus' grandparents all try to keep him deeply rooted in his heritage and his father's mother is helping him learn the Dutch language. It's taking a while, but Coeus is enjoying the family lessons thoroughly.
Elrich Linde has a fairly boring job at the Ministry of Magic, working in the Department of Magical Equipment Control, but is a very loving and caring father. He sometimes feels guilty about his wife's death, feeling that he should've done more reseach, or made her wait longer to attempt transformation, anything. But he keeps his feelings of mourning hidden for the most part.
Before Candace's passing, she blessed the Linde family tree with a little girl, Rhea. Coeus is six years older than his sister, and is extremely protective of her, as he is protective of most women he comes in close contact with. After losing his mother at one of those traumatizing stages of life (before you really understand life, but after you can really understand what's going on in your immediate surroundings) he's become very short tempered with anyone disrespecting or treating a lady in any unbefitting manner, and he will stand against it, by any means.
His last five years at school have been spent studiously, with only the few interruptions from, you know, older students being possesed by enchanted lockets, leviathans attacking the school, teachers disappearing and dying and coming back to life mysteriously... normal stuff. Though he hasn't been as directly involved in anything until now. And now, he plans to be very involved indeed.
