Striker wandered through Hogsmeade, hands in pockets as he walked, eyes staring into space, yet he somehow avoided not running into people. He was deep in thought, the only thing on his mind was what he was going to do after school. He had received a letter from his parents, (muggle delivery system!) about wanting him to go to Sydney and live life as a muggle, get a muggle job and raise a family as a muggle.
He didn't really like the whole idea, his parents were rather controlling and the only way he could get out of the idea would be to kill himself, an idea that didn't sit well with him. He stopped in the centre of the town and looked up into the near cloudless skies, staring blankly as the thoughts of what to do never came. He sighed, looked away in dismay.
'Why can't I decide on what to do?' He muttered to himself.

Erys didn't have much of a sweet tooth, which was why she was outside Honeydukes instead of inside it. Not bothering to enter the quaint little sugarshop, the teen decided on a more fun way to bide her time: bothering the customers by touching her tongue to her nose and crossing her eyes in an expression that just screamed retarded. Directly infront of the window now, she paused her little game to stare at the skeptical faces of the people inside, chuckling at how more of them seemed mortified than amused. Go figure. Crossing her arms over her chest, Erys shook her head, stepping away from the glass to meander around. Oddly enough, she hadn't even been placed yet and she was already out and about. But in case you were wondering, she was hell-bent on getting into Slytherin, or else her parents would disown her. Since it was already term three, and the teenager had transfered, the process seemed to take a bit longer than if she had joined the first year. Right about now, it sounded like a good idea. Father dearest had her privately tutored, mostly because he'd rather she hone her animagi ability at home. He had paid good money, not for her, but for bragging rights. Not many men had daughters who could change into something, it gave him something else to boast about. He was the reason she never came home for the holidays. Why, Erys hadn't seen her little brother since she came to Hogwarts. Poor guy.. He would be fine without her.
Thinking this with an unsettled frown, Erys shoved her hands into her jean pockets, overhearing somebody and recognising the tone of distress in his voice. "Because you dont know what you want?" She guessed, eavesdropping but not the slightest bit sorry. Erys, pronounced Air-iss incase you wanted to know, had felt that way many times. She could relate, unless he was stuck between the idea of becoming a she-male or getting a gender change. Hah! The idea made her chuckle out loud, as she stared at the stranger with a bored expression.

Strikers attention was immediately set upon towards the girl, his eyes had widened the moment he heard her voice as a frown appeared on his face.
'What does it matter to you?' He snapped, feeling his cheeks warm. 'All a person can do is just do what they do, regardless of the consequences.'

Ariane was sprinting happily into Hogsmeade when she came across a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin. They seemed to be arguing.
"Hallo Alluran" she said to him, recgonizing him from the Commen Room. "HOw are you?" she glanced over at the Slytherin with a disapproving tilt of the head.

{ Uh, Ariane.. Its kind of impossible to tell Erys is in Slytherin, shes not being mean and shes wearing street clothes. Plus, when I posted this, Erys hadn't been sorted yet, so Im still roleplaying her as if she isn't in a house yet. }
"If the world worked like that, it would be a very different place." Erys replied calmly, entwining her fingers together. "Not everything must be acted on with pure instinct, or else we'd still be living like cavemen." Chuckling and glancing at her boots, the Slytherin's eyes landed on a new girl, instantly catching the mean-spirited look. "What?" She asked, curious to know why this girl hated her so quickly. "Im in a situation kind of like his, so I just added my input in. Is there something wrong?" Glancing at her jeans as if inspecting for stains, the animagus raised her head again, appearing clearly troubled. Weren't Hufflepuffs supposed to be just, nice and fair?
"My name's Erys Grace." She explained, introducing herself and stretching her hand out for the girl to shake. "I haven't landed in a house yet."

[Oh, sorry! ]
Ariane's disapproving look fell "Oh?" she reached out and shook the girls hand "My apologies, it looked like you two were having a bit of an arguement." she smiled sweetly at Erys. Ariane dug the toe of her sneakers into the well worn path, slightly uncomfortable.

{ Heh, no problem. }
"Thats alright. I get that alot, it seems. I didn't mean to argue with anybody." Erys explained, flashing a sorry look at the boy who had snapped at her. When in the mood, she could be the kindest person in the world. But something always seemed to happen to her, turning her mood from alright to horrible. "I was just browsing the shops to see if anything caught my interest." Which nothing seemed to have done, judging by how she was walking outside instead of buying something inside. Deciding not to mention her wanting to be in Slytherin to the pair, the teenager instead rubbed her hands together before shoving them in her pockets.
She should really be getting back to Hogwarts soon, but the idea of returning to school so early didn't tickle her fancy. So Erys decided then and there to make another sweep of the shops, maybe stopping somewhere to get a bite to eat.

'Huh? Oh, hey... Ariane, isn't it?' Striker said, cringing at the sound of his voice. How did anyone know of it? He always said he preferred Striker. He shook his head and looked at the girl who had spoken to him.
'Alluran Striker.' He said, looking back towards Ariane. 'But I prefer Striker, and there is no need to fight. We're all here for the same reasons, I suppose...'

"RIght, sorry Striker" Ariane smiled sheepishly. Damn, I seem to be mucking up right left and center now Ariane thought angrily "Well... uh" she said hesitatly "Anyone want a Butterbeer on me?" she offered

"Striker." Erys repeated, nodding, glancing at the girl who had apparently found out a secret about the Hufflepuff boy. His real name, instead of his alias, perhaps? How amusing. Shaking her head at Ariane's offer, the teenager smiled politely. "Thats alright, I can just get a water." There wasn't any need to spend money on somebody she barely even knew, right? Right. That was of course, if they were going inside the Three Broomsticks. Striker might prefer to stay outside and contemplate what he was thinking about before she arrived.
"Hey.. Are you okay? About what you were muttering, and all.." Erys inquired, her voice cautious. A touchy subject, she supposed, by the way he snapped at her and basically told her to mind her own business. That was alright though, if they wanted her to leave. Her sorting should be soon, anyway.
