The wind blew cold as a lone figure walked up the road to the village, its head down eyes glancing down at the ground. A deep navy blue cloak with its hood up kept the figure a mystery and would continue to do so until their destination was reached. Howling winds were the only sounds to be heard outside on the cobble stoned streets. As the figure walked stealthily on ward a shadow moved overhead but the figure took no notice. Once the destination had been reached there was no need to worry about anything else. Pushing open the door a chill followed the hooded character inside forcing several people to look up eyes pleading for the door to be shut once more.
Pulling off the hood Hannah Edgecombe stood near the entrance and obliged. Once the door was shut she could feel the heat inside The Three Broomsticks and her body warmed instantly. Eyes were upon her now, she sort of stood out tonight being one of the only few females in the room. Oftentimes it made for an enjoyable evening, but not tonight all she wanted was to drown some sorrows. Things at the school were just a mess which was the same word she could use to describe her relationship lately. After William blew up at her Hannah avoided him like the plague. She had never seen him like that before he was acting evil.
Since then Hannah had left him alone hoping whatever the problem he would work it out or come to her about it. Nothing of the sort happened. It was killing her because as angry as she was at him she still missed him so much. The mere thought of him hating her depressed her sending her out of the castle nightly for brief periods of reprieve. Most of the time she just walked around the grounds until she was too tired to walk anymore.
Tonight she felt the need for something else drinks sounded good so now here she was. Sitting at the bar a cute red headed girl of about 20 came up to her and asked what she'd like to drink. The hard stuff was a good way to start off "vodka on the rocks would suffice." A few of those and she would be good to go in no time at all. Feeling a little better she like everyone else looked curiously as the door opened once more Hannah's face fell as in he walked the man she was trying hard not to think of. Hannah swore asking the bar maid to hurry with her drink. He had the best timing didn't he. Maybe he wouldn't notice her, she didn't need her abilities to know that wasn't going to happen.

A downwards spiral is what Will was in right now. Things since raising his hand to Hannah had spiralled violently downwards and everything seemed out of his control, definitely something he could not control. It was strange, he felt like he was himself until suddenly something took over him and he didn’t know what he was doing. Like he was being brainwashed or something, but by who or what he had no idea. Truth was he was scared at what he had become, what he was becoming and what he may eventually be.
Sitting on the end of his bed in darkness and silence, he rubbed his eyes with his palms as he sighed and tried to catch his breath. He has been doing sit-ups on the floor and after an hour he was pretty tired. He wasn’t the sort of tired to easily go to bed though, and so he pulled on a thick jacket before trekking to Hogsmeade. It was times like this that he hated the walk to the small wizarding town but he knew too well that there was liquid gold at the end of the trail, and that alone made the journey worthwhile.
Pushing open the solid wooden door, he seemed to have radar on her. There sat Hannah and by her body movement she had seen him before he had seen her. Gulping back a dry lump that had formed in his throat, Will stood in the doorway for a moment before deciding on what to do. He was going to leave her alone for now, surely that’s what she wanted right?
Going to the other end of the bar, he didn’t look at her in case he saw some evil woman look that she would happen to give him. She had come in for a quiet drink and she was going to get what she wanted. He couldn’t exactly leave now, he would look a fool. Ordering a beer his prayers were answered when he was served straight away and he turned around and sat in the cushioned stall.

He stopped at the door looking unsure of himself. Hannah never took her eyes off of him though she knew she should. Swallowing hard when he walked in hoping he would come sit next to her. After what happened between them last time they met she was surprised to want him anywhere near her. Just went to show how much she had fallen for him.
Instead he went and found his own table no where near where she was. It didn't feel good and it hurt. Somehow it caused her to wonder if he was done with her. So far nothing had been relayed to her but his new attitude was just...There were no words to describe it. It was as if something took over him, he was possessed by something evil.
The Will she knew only months ago had vanished and in his place was this evil man that tried to strike her when she needed him. What she wouldn't give to have him back right now but he didn't even seem to want to be around her, to talk to her and tell her what was wrong. Every now and then she would turn in her seat to look at him torturing herself just because.
In her preoccupation she finished her drink not even realizing it until the barmaid walked over and asked her if she wanted a refill. Nodding Hannah tried to smile and act like everything was hunky dory. Trying to get her mind off Will she tried to observe the other pub patrons. A pretty brunette sat a few seats away from her she seemed to be eying something intently and for some reason or another Hannah chose to follow where her eyes were locked.
Sometimes a woman just knew things, Hannah caught her staring at Will. So far she had done nothing but look, and if she knew what was good for her she would remain simply looking at him from afar. Hannah turned to see if Will noticed this little tart checking him out.

There were two distinct feeling pulling at either side of him, and he didn't know which one to become slave to. One was anger and the other was guilt. For some unknown reason, Will was just angry looking at her sat there, exactly where he met her the first time they ever set eyes on each other and she hadn't spoken to him since the incident. Still, he didn't blame her.
The other feeling was guilt. It was pulling him towards the door and just to leave and let her get on with her life. He had obviously hurt her enough and he would never be able to forgive himself for even raising a fist to a woman, he was just thankful that he didn't hit her. The horror in her eyes replayed across his sight and his mood instantly dropped.
It was then he lifted his head up from his beer and caught the eye of a woman across the room. She was blatantely flirting with him. His eyes instinctively looked back to Hannah and he saw that her eyes were on the woman almost scowling at her. His eyebrow raised, and it was then the woman brought her drink over to him, her high heels echoing on the wooden floor as she walked over and sat close by him. Will could feel Hannah's eyes on him and the woman and he couldn't help but flirt back with the woman who was now stroking Will's knee under the table.
She began whispering in his ear and Will couldn't help but smirk at the things she was whispering. He knew damn well that it would be winding Hannah up, and he quite enjoyed it.

A new drink was slapped down on the bar head lifting Hannah said her thanks before taking a gigantic sip. She needed something to was down the taste of bitterness. Making things work with Will was important to her but she just couldn't get their last encounter out of her mind. The look in his eyes, his hand raised poised ready to strike her. How close he had coming to attacking her the woman he claimed to care for. Prepared to turn and look at him she changed her mind mid head turn and instead chose to check up on the woman who was no longer occupying her seat. Where did she go? Hannah looked around until she spotted her heading right for Will.
The stupid trollop what did she think she was doing. Women don't just go up to men like that unless...Hannah watched her approach hoping that Will would have the common sense to see she was a trollop and send her on her slutty little way. Ha fat chance no he didn't give her the satisfaction. She made herself at home at his table and Will was having a grand old time as she whispered whorish things in his ear.
Hannah's blood pressure rose several points and she was seeing red. One thing about her that she couldn't change was her jealous temper. Will and her were still something and this crap was unacceptable. As if sensing her customers change in mood she walked over "miss are you ok" she asked. Hannah scoffed at her replying "No but it will be soon." Again she eyes the cozy couple Will seemed to be just lapping it up. Another flash of red and Hannah finished off her drink not letting a drop go to waste and then getting up walking over to Will's table.
"So what happened between us last time wasn't bad enough now you come here to do what go slut hunting." The woman turned and gave Hannah a nasty look before asking who she thought she was. "His girlfriend that's who and if I were you I'd get your bony butt up off this chair and find someone else." The woman looked from Hannah to Will and back again. Her eyes settling on Will's just like Hannah's she wanted to see what he was going to do that way she could decide her next course of action.

Will was quite aware of how Hannah felt, about everything. He didn’t have to be a seer to know that she was seething with rage because of him, the last encounter they had and the fact that he almost punched his own girlfriend. However, he was unsure where they stood, and the thing that stirred inside him that seemed to want to get him slapped began grumbling and taking over him again. Will was actually enjoying the agro he was receiving like some sadistic pig. Let’s face it, that’s what he’d become.
As the woman began whispering things in his ear again, Will didn’t take his eyes off Hannah, revelling in the idea of her getting so worked up and making the venom in her rise was like a game for him right now. She was an ex-slytherin after all, she must be able to do some sort of damage. Of course he was doing her damage right now; he could tell that she was fuming without even looking at her. Taking a sip of his drink, he actually paid attention to the woman now, giving a deep laugh when she continued to whisper to him. She began nibbling on his ear when Hannah came over, and Will was grinning at the events that were going to unfold before his very eyes.
Will simply sat there as the women had a slanging match with each other, Hannah getting more violent and aggressive in her choice of words as the seconds ticked by, every single word making Will just grin a little harder.
Her gaze met his, and they seemed to interlock for a moment, saying nothing verbally but their eyes doing all the talking. Hannah was clearly in an emotional state, and he was sure his stare was not helping her. The evil kicked in again, and Will broke his gaze away, looking at the red head sat next to him.
“Just ignore her, she’s not my girlfriend. She’s just jealous” he said before he went in to kiss her right infront of his actual girlfriend. Even inside himself Will was kicking himself knowing full well that he was doing wrong by himself and even worse by Hannah. He was disgusted with himself, but he just couldn’t help it. The urge to tick her off even more was too controlling and as the woman kissed him back, Will’s eyes opened and looked back to Hannah as he was kissing her, teasing her.

"Ignore her, she's not my girlfriend. She's just jealous." Hannah heard the words they repeated over and over again in her mind. With each replay the pain in heart worsened. He should have just hit her because that would probably have hurt a lot less. Her sparkling green eyes turned dead and cold when he committed the ultimate act of disrespect by making out with the woman right in front of her. This nearly broke her.
Unable to endure the hurt any longer Hannah turned her back on Will and the harlot. Her ego shattered and a hatred for Will rising up from deep within. A hatred built on the foundation of him making her fall in love. She had never felt the way she felt for him didn't even know someone could feel that way and in one night he threw it all away for some tramp he probably wouldn't even remember in the morning. Here she thought he was different and now she sees he is exactly the same as all men. He's a liar a coward and a cheat.
"No he's not" said the voice in her mind. Her heart argued he was showing her he was, but deep down she felt something was wrong. Suddenly she became enraged. He was hers and no one was taking him away. Her eyes flashed from green to red as she stopped mid floor, a man almost ran into her but she tuned him out when her called her a drunken bimbo. Turning a full about face she caught sight of the lip lockers this only made her more infuriated and the Hannah former Slytherin she had been trying so hard to repress reared her pretty head. Marching to the table she didn't take out her wand not yet anyway no instead she grabbed a chunk full of the red heads greasy hair and yanked it back feeling several strands rip in her hand. "I don't share and no matter what his big mouth says he's mine so take your paws off him or I'll make you wish you were never born."
At first the woman eyed her in shock because Vicky just exuded anger. Then she herself got angry and got up to get in Vicky's face. She was trash talking using every curse her filthy mouth could come up with. Vicky got bored after about a minute looked over at Will and said "really Will this witch, she has about as much personality as a wet mop and she looks like she should be off somewhere hugging a pole for dirty muggle money." Focusing her attention back to the girl she had enough "just shut your stupid trap you two bit floozy he's mine and that's that." With those last words out Hannah simply punched the chick in her mouth and watched as she fell in a heap on the floor.
Several patrons eyed Vicky's little display the barmaid yelled but Vicky didn't move she stood eying Will. A man brushed passed her and went over to check on the girl he too was glowering at Will. This was after all all his fault. In moments the man stood up getting in Will's face too yelling about men being two timers and he should feel ashamed.

He didn't have to be a mind reader or a wizard with the ability of occlumency to know that his words hit Hannah, and hard. As soon as he said them, a weird feeling contorted in the pit of his chest, a feeling that felt like a fatal stab wound was tearing at his insides. He couldn't believe that he could be so malicious. He was a Hufflepuff and was quite the softy, so why did he like to pick and pick at Hannah's already bruised form and make it worse?
He knew just how fragile she had become, and after months of trying to make it better he was just making it worse.
He looked away from her, unsure how to apologise to her and quite ashamed of himself. His inward deviousness was smirking at him, and this only tore his insides up just a little more. It was almost as if he could hear Hannah's thoughts, he knew her well enough to know her inner workings although she liked to appear slightly mysterious. He knew that she would be mortified, hurt, enraged and most importantly heartbroken. Will bit his lip and hung his head, thoroughly ashamed of himself, and instead of making matters worse, he readied himself to get up to leave.
It suddenly all kicked off and out of nowhere, Hannah was back and had the woman by the hair, dragging her round with a look of fury spread across her features. Will was astounded and could only stand there in shock as Hannah was clearly winning this catfight. Hannah turned to Will with a disgusted look on her face and said how the girl looked like a tramp, and he couldn't help but smirk. He finally got what he wanted, the old Hannah back. The fiesty little minx who had the angry slytherin blood running through her veins, the one who was proud to fight with her bare hands for what she believed in, not the hollow empty shell of what remained of her.
A man suddenly blocked Will's view, and Will simply brushed him aside before walking over to Hannah and breaking up the fight. He grabbed hold of Hannah's wrists and he could feel the tension and frustration rising from her. He simply let her breath for a moment as he stared into her eyes before swooping her up into a heated kiss.

Months of anger and sadness had built up inside of her, feelings she had been holding to herself because Will hadn't been around for her much lately. She had tried to be a good girlfriend and give him space, tried to be patient. Even tonight when he entered the place she did her best to leave him be and what did she get for her troubles. She got to watch him cozy up to some bar skank while she was trying desperately to wait out whatever it was that was wrong with him. So when she grabbed the woman by the hair and yanked her away from the table her anger was not with her but with him.
Suddenly she remembered who she was. Hannah was back the old mean nasty Slytherin that enjoyed being nasty just because. Somehow seeing him with her woke her from a deep sleep. She wasn't play fighting with this woman Hannah was literally beating the snot out of her. Pulling back her left fist she took one good swing connecting with the woman's nose. Hannah heard it break the noise was very loud. Soon blood began to gush from her nose like a faucet just turned on. She should have felt bad but Hannah didn't in the least.
People were all around staring at her as if she had gone mad, but she hadn't instead she had finally seen the light. Hannah needed to stop living for others and start living for herself. After she kicked this chicks arse of course. Hannah enjoyed a good brawl and seeing as how it had been a very long time since her last one she figured she may as well enjoy it to the fullest.
Just as she was about take another swing someone grabbed her by her wrists. Immediately she knew who it was, for his touch was unlike anyone Else's when it made contact with her skin. Hard eyes looked up at him anger coursing through her body. The woman who was still bloody had taken her opportunity to slink out of the place unnoticed by her attacker. Will had hold of her now and what she wondered most was what would he do. Her breathing still ragged she started to calm a bit, just a bit. She looked at him and then without warning he leaned down and kissed her hard. It was hot almost steamy. Hannah was taken aback but she kissed him with as much heat as she had in her which was a lot.
After a moment or two she pulled back to look at him. "Dammit Will you can't keep doing this to me. Either I belong to you or I don't . If you don't want me let me go if you want me then act like it. I can't be toyed with anymore I won't have it." Her voice rose sounding menacing with the slightest twinge of hurt nixed in.

Whatever was going on within him, Will was tormented inside by it every waking hour and when he was around Hannah it was made even worse. It was, on the most point like a low burning flame in which was slightly visible, but without a moments notice it would flare up into a full blown fire, burning everything in his path. He was like the total opposite of himself, and he alway suspected that one day he would pass a mirror and catch a glimpse of the monster within him, staring back, smirking, tempting him to the dark side, but deep down he knew there was no cookies over there to tempt him, he had to try and fight whatever was consuming him more and more everyday, but with his best friend going a little nuts himself and becoming obsessed with the forest, who would be able to help him?
As he kissed Hannah again, his eyes shut tight, the beast inside him finally consuming all of what he was. He tried to fight it as his lips were still locked with Hannah's, but a force drove over him and his eyes widened, his body and mind giving into this presence that was corrupting him. He pushed her away violently as if she was the force that was draining his life, and wiping his mouth he sneered at her. "Disgusting beast, who the hell would want YOU?" he remarked, silently smirking before giving a small scoff of laughter. Will was no longer himself, he was just the shell for another being.
Snatching up his coat, he glared at the surrounding people through his eyelashes before giving a final glance to Hannah. His voice was rough and deeper than his usual tone. "Watch your back, Edgecombe" he sneered once again before flicking his coat over his shoulder and heading for the door.

Just when she thought that maybe just maybe things could go back to the way they were between them Will took a 360 degree turn. He kissed her again but the kiss felt wrong somehow like it wasn't really Will kissing her. Then he pushed her roughly from him as if she were nothing more than a toy he once wanted to play with but was now bored with. Hannah had just been discarded. Mr. Jekyll had returned and he was meaner that ever spewing venomous words that were meant not just to hurt but to destroy.
As she looked at him her eyes brimming with tears not yet fallen Hannah could hear the breaking of her heart and feared everyone else in the room would too. As he walked out she could feel those eyes on her now as she stood frozen unsure of how to react to his threat. Her mouth opened and closed several times but no sounds came out. She knew staying there would do her no good so mustering what little dignity she had left she grabbed her coat and walked out of the place.
Hannah had only ever allowed one man to slip past the wall she had built long ago and how did he repay her by treating her like dirt when she had done nothing to deserve it. Walking out into the cool night air Hannah let the tears fall freely now, the wind and cold whipping at her body but she didn't care anymore. She was shattered and heart broken and had no idea how she would handle this latest blow.
