The man was simply surprising no other way to say it but that. He grabbed her her by the waist and kissed her back with the same passion she was showing him. Of course her body responded immediately. Instantly her body became warm, her heart started to race, she felt dizzy. It had been years since a man caused her to feel this way usually it was a romp with no feelings involved whatsoever. Already she wanted him again though she knew it wasn't possible they would have to leave there soon people would be wondering where he was.
The one bright hope was that he wanted to see her again. Soon they would be together again they could have a nice day out get to know each other better. Maybe she would finally figure out what it was about him that had her going so gaga. Maybe they could even have some more fun the naughty kind. That she wouldn't mind doing again because it was just amazing. He was highly skilled at knowing just what to do to a woman she figured it was probably from years of experience on the subject. No matter she was enjoying it now so it was all good.
As he pulled away from her she felt a stab of disappointment enjoying the feel of his lips against her own, the way they melded so well together. Already she missed the taste of him on her tongue. She wanted to go in for another Dan made her a glutton. Somehow she found the strength to refrain allowing him to just stand there and hold her. His hand slid up her back making her shiver, he played with her hair making her smile. Even just the simplest things he did gave her joy.
Even his vulgar joke made her laugh just then. "Ah the broom cupboard well as long as you can make it cozy enough I'll meet you there at 5 6 7 8." Throwing her head back she laughed at her own joke. A romp in the castle sounded fun. Not willing to admit that to him she kept quiet on that front. But not when he offered to be there for her if she needed. "That's very sweet of you Dan I appreciate the offer, who knows I might take you up on it one day as long as you promise to bite me in just the right spot" her turn to tease now.

To see that smile and to hear that laugh made it all worth while for Dan, deep down underneath the tough guy and arrogant exterior he really was a true Hufflepuff who just wanted to make the whole world happy. That is what had been hurting him the most about the way Vicky had been acting before, although the fact she was rejecting him at first did not help, it was because he could tell that she was sad and angry at herself for trying to do the right thing and turn him down, so he was more then happy to let Vicky be selfish he just got to enjoy the perks that went along with it.
“Well if I re-house the brooms and get a few cushions and candles I think the broom cupboard could become a rather sensual boudoir.” If they were going to have a joke about it he might as well run with it, not that he would ever dare do such a thing in the castle, there were far to many eyes and once someone would whisper such a scandal it would spread around the school like wild fire and that was a too bigger risk for Dan. No there meetings would have to be conducted away from the praying eyes of students and other members of staff.
Vicky’s next comment however took Dan completely off guard; this temptress just suddenly seemed to burst out. He loved a woman who could give it back as good as he gave, that was after all one of the first things that had attracted him to Dia that time in the kitchen, and as Vicky’s perfect violet eyes looked upon him Dan could not help but laugh along with her. “You mean I did not get the right spot last night?” He gave a melodramatic sigh. “Well then I truly am going to have to have another go to get it right.”
With that Dan’s hands slowly slipped down Vicky’s back, slowly along her arms until he reached her hands. He took hold of both of them before gently raising them up towards his lips so that he could plant a single kiss on each hand. He then, as if completing the waltz that they had never started, let go off one hand before guiding Vicky in a small spin. It was the politest way he could think of moving her away from him so that he could continue to button up his shirt and get ready to leave back to the castle.
“I do truly need to go.” Dan stated honestly, the slight hint of disappoint that clouded his words even took him a little by surprise. “Have to keep up appearances.” He was now slipping on his shoes and doing up the laces when he heard the sound of the pub door open downstairs, Warren was back. The look of horror slightly filled Dan’s face as he quickly looked up towards Vicky; Warren was truly the last person in the world who should know about this…he was such a gossip when drunk. Quickly standing up and brushing the crease out of his suit once more Dan took a deep breath and asked one of the most childish questions imaginable “Well seeing as we can not leave at the same time, who is leaving first?”

For as long as she could remember the one thing, well really the only thing she always found pleasing about Dan was the way he looked. He just had this rugged and manly look. He reminded her of someone who would be there to protect you no matter what despite all his talk of being a scared Hufflepuff. But in all their time they never really talked until now. She was finally seeing another side of him and it didn't help matters that she really really liked this side.
Before she had been so angry at him and herself that she was simply trying to put distance between them. She was barely listening to anything he said and now...The woman was in trouble big trouble. In her mind she could see that this wouldn't end well but everything he did had that thought going poof out of her brain. The girl inside wanted to believe in a miracle.
"Sensual boudoir, do you get away with lines like that often. Not saying they don't work just wondering if you get away with them." He made her laugh, always a good thing one of the things she often looked for. He wasn't afraid to be a little raunchy with her, some men were afraid of her delicate ears not Dan he wasn't afraid of being risky with her and she enjoyed that.
When he grabbed her hand and spun her around she figured the fun was over. He needed to get back, she needed to get back they couldn't waste the day away in here much as she would enjoy it. Following suit she tried to look as if she hadn't been out all night, she wasn't doing the best job of it but then she didn't have anyone waiting for her back at the castle.
"It's ok I understand you need to get back to Dia. I need to do some work anyway." A noise from downstairs caused her to go still. Could it be Warren was here. That was the last thing she needed was Warren to see her coming down with Dan. Crap why couldn't he have just waited 5 more minutes. Dan said one of them should leave first "Dan I think no matter which one of us leaves first Warren would know something was up" especially since he did know of her feelings for his cousin. "Um maybe one of us should apparate out of here outside somewhere."

Many situations where running through Dan’s mind, going from the extreme of a happy coincidence that they both ended upstairs and leaving at the same time, or that maybe if they were quiet enough they could sneak through the pub while Warren was in the backroom sorting stuff out. Of course that was completely ridiculous as there was also the chance of them being spotted while walking up the high street! Vicky too seemed to have heard the noise and as a response to his question she brought that hard hitting fact of reality back to him, Warren was no fool particular in matters such as this. However when the realisation hit him of the rest of the sentence Vicky has said his eyes grew wide.
“You are a genius.” He stated rather joyfully as he pulled her into one last, long, passionate kiss. “You’re beautiful and a genius. I swear there are not enough of us left in the world.”
A cheeky grin filled his face as he brushed away a stray strand of dark hair from her beautiful violet eyes. He really was a sucker for eyes and although it pained him to tear his gaze away, he knew that when he returned back to his normal life he would have the bedazzling eyes of Dia to stare into, those sparkling blue eyes that always made him catch his breath. ‘Oh Merlin, what am I doing here?’ he thought, but although the doubt clouded his mind the wide grin still filled his face as he carried on acting like nothing was amiss.
“You apparate out.” Dan said reassuringly. “Warren knew I was here and would look after the pub for him so it would make more sense for me to show my face and save yourself the blushes of doing the walk of shame.”
Now that was a walk that Dan had done a lot, arguably it is what he would be doing now, although he would carry and present himself in such a way he would only come across as the good cousin who was simply helping out his fellow Hubbles. With one last look at Vicky, as if soaking in her beauty for the last time Dan gave her a small bow before making his way over to the old wooden door of room seven. Gently he pulled it open, leaving just enough room for him to fit through and slipped out of the door and back into reality.

Their tender moments faded as reality (in the form or Warren Hubbles) stomped around downstairs. There would be no more holding, no more sweet words, no more kisses, or touches. Now they would go back to being teacher and headmaster. From this moment they would go back to their normal working relationship. She felt a bit saddened by it but she could do nothing for it because at the end of the day he was with Dia and she was the other woman the midnight distraction if you will.
as he complimented her for her genius their lips locked once more. Her burning desire had been to keep him there but in the end she let him go had to. Vicky never felt so many feelings at one time it was a myriad of emotions and she felt an empty feeling in the pit of her stomach Dan would not know of this because Vicky's demeanor had not and would not change. Last thing this moment needed was him pitying her.
He stood close and stared at her Vicky had to fight within herself not to allow him to see anything but joy in those eyes. Eyes after all were the windows to the soul but she wanted those windows closed for now. Giving him a cheeky grin in return she took a finger and traced a line from his jaw to his lips getting to feel their softness. Breaking apart for need Vicky stood and watched him walk out the door.
After she knew he was downstairs she sat back down on the disheveled bed they shared and cried everything she was feeling pouring out of her in tears. Forty five minutes later eyes red face puffy Vicky apparated from the room. On the street her head down making her way back to life as it should be.
