Popping the bit of frosting into her mouth, Lorelai danced away from Sierra as she attempted to smack her with the icing knife. Laughing, Lorelai spread some of the frosting onto her friend’s nose. “Nosey!” That didn’t seem to generate a good response from Sierra. “Aww lighten up! You’re being such a sourpuss. Sheesh.” In a very childish gesture, Lorelai stuck out her tongue at the other. “Bleh to you.” Obviously she had consumed too much frosting and was on another one of her sugar highs. Working at a bakery did leave her with a large supply of sugar…
“I’ll help you finish icing the rest of these then I’m off to the bar. Figured since we’re a new shop and all I’d see what the gossip about us is.” She grabbed one of the trays of cupcakes and disappeared into the back room. Lorelai plopped herself on her seat—it was hers because she had so elegantly scrawled her name onto the seat so a certain someone wouldn’t steal it—and set the tray on the table in front of her. Icing knife in one hand, bowl of icing in the other, she set about her task. Icing a cupcake didn’t take nearly as long as doing a cake, though several cupcakes could take a significant amount of time…especially when she started to eat the frosting.
She put the cupcakes into the fridge to let the frosting settle. They would decorate them tomorrow. If they did it tonight, the sprinkles would settle into the frosting and just be disgusting. Lorelai bumped her hip against the door of the fridge to shut it and grinned in triumph. She stripped off her apron and hung it on the hook in the workroom. Taking the stairs leading up to their apartment in stride, she made her way rather eagerly to her room. Bullwinkle greeted her at the door, and followed her with tail wagging into her room. Laying curled on the bed was Rocky, who only acknowledged her presence with a small blink, before he shut his eyes again. “Love you too there Rocky.”
Several outfits later, Lorelai finally chose something she found to be presentable. Dark jeans that hugged her curves, with a red, ruffled, scoop neck shirt, eye catching wasn’t it? Spinning around in the mirror, she glanced back for a moment at the dog sitting near her. “Boss, what do you think of this outfit?” He wagged his tail as soon as she spoke, and she grinned. “I quite agree.” Lorelai placed her money into her pocket and made her way downstairs. Passing by the workroom, she shouted a goodbye to Sierra and left soon after.
The walk to Club Motion took no time at all. She opened the door and was greeted by the sweet smell of martinis. Ah, now this was something she could get used to. Deciding against going downstairs to the dance floor—it was so hard to hear any type of gossip with that noise—she took a seat at the bar. Lorelai didn’t have to wait long before the bartender came over, looking at her expectantly. She waited a moment and bit down on her plump lower lip, pretending to deliberate. After a small shrug, she placed her elbows on the table and propped her chin up by the top of her hands.
“Surprise me.”

There was no rhyme and reason to what Hannah did anymore. In all the years of her life she had never been hurt the way she had been hurt by Will. She enjoyed thinking she was above these kinds of feelings but that had changed when she met him. From the first day he got to her the way no other man ever had. He was even there for her at a time when she needed someone most, so what changed between the first day and a few weeks ago was a mystery to her. So now she was distraught and didn't know what to do with herself most days. Staying too long in the castle just made her antsy and her thoughts led to thoughts of him and she contemplated seeking him out. But then she would remember those horrible words he uttered to her that night in the bar.
On this night she had been out of her room and on her way to his when his voice rang out in her head, each and every word sending a knife through her. Tears welled in her eyes and she knew she had to get out of there or risk breaking down. Going back to her room she grabbed her coat and headed out of the castle. It was better this way she needed some fresh air. The castle, well it wasn't really the best place to be anymore for more reasons then one.
The whole place was falling apart and the Headmaster was too busy bedding women who weren't his wife to notice. She didn't know what he was doing to stop these goings on. The kids were terrified, the professors were at their wits end it was crazy. The walk to the village took a lot less time when she was focused on so many other things.
Now she just needed to figure out where to go. The Three Broomsticks was out of the question and Hogshead well it was too early for that. She figured that maybe Club Motion would be a decent place to visit. Honestly she had never been there before, clubs weren't her scene but she heard that it had good drinks. A good drink was in order. Pushing open the door making her way to the bar she asked for the strongest thing they had. As she sat there if didn't take long for her to notice she wasn't the only one around. Smiling at the other woman Hannah waited for whatever the waiter would bring her to make her forget her pain.
