Noon. The sun was high in the sky, bathing the streets of Hogsmeade in it's brilliant rays. A lone figure stood in front of the ever popular Club Motion, a hooded cloak hid his face. A pale hand reached up, pulling the hood off to reveal, Ashton Laurent. He was back. But this time, things were different. He was no longer the shy, weak boy he had once been. The summer had changed him. He was bolder, stronger, cared less what people thought about him. He had new friends now, and a new relationship with his father.
Daniel had agreed to come and visit him, after Ash got settled back in. He had met the owner of Club Motion, Nick Braye while in Lyon, he had wanted to work on his music, but had promised his father he would get a job first, although why he agreed to that, he couldn't understand seeing as both his father's and mother's families had been extremely weatlhy, and as an only child, he would inherit both fortunes. He figured his dad wanted him to have the experience.
Taking a deep breath, Ash pulled off his cloak and stuffed it into his bag to reveal a familiar pair of black skinny jeans, and a navy blue shirt, and black and white checkered vans. He walked up to the door, pushing it open. The wood creaked slightly underneath his feet, as he stepped into the center of the room, and stood silently, relishing in the shocked expressions of the people in the club, they had certainly not expected him to be back. And certainly not like this, no longer did he hide in the shadows, he stood boldly, afraid of nothing. Ash stood tall and proud, head held high. His entire stance screamed 'confidence'.

Shayla was thinking about throwing a party for herself and some co-workers. Everyone in the ministry had been working so hard lately and she thought that maybe a nice little get together might ease some of the tensions. She had heard about this new club that opened heard it was supposed to be really nice so she figured she would go check it out and if it met her needs she would certainly try to book it for the party. She had just gotten a huge bonus at work and it was practically burning a hole in her pocket.
Dressed in a beige cashmere sweater dress, matching 3/4 sleeve trench coat, and some cute ballet flats Shayla made her way into Hogsmeade. Finding the place didn't take long at all it sort of stood out to her as if it was something there that almost shouldn't be. She was glad it was though because she didn't think a party in the Three Broomsticks would be too fun.
The place looked pretty good from the outside so she was almost sure the inside would prove just as worthy. Pulling open the door she walked in her slippers not making much noise on the floor. She knew it was way too early for the place to be "opened" but she had simply wanted a peek. What she saw she liked really and truly. This would be a great place to throw a party her party.
There was someone else there she wondered if he was the owner. Shay decided that there was only one way to find out slowly walking across the room she reached the man in about 10 strides, the place was huge. "Hi there, excuse me are you the owner of the establishment?"

"Hi there, excuse me are you the owner of the establishment?"
Ash turned to see a tall woman standing behind him. Obviously, she was the one who had asked the question. Personally, Ash thought it was kind of a silly question. He wasn't even eighteen yet! Did he look like he owned the place?
Besides, clubs weren't his forte. Fashion and music were. Nevertheless, he smiled. "No, I don't. I just work here, first day on the job actually. I am friends with the owner though. I'm Ashton Laurent. Most people call me Ash."

As soon as he turned around Shay thought he looked rather young. Still in his teens perhaps. Interesting if he did own the place but now that she stared at him she thought maybe that was the wrong assessment. He confirmed her suspicions when he let her know he was merely an employee. Shayla blushed at her little slip up but still she continued on.
It's nice to meet you Ash. I'm Shayla Kane, people call me Shay. So it's your first day huh? Seems exciting, this is a really nice place. Is the owner in or will he or she be in soon. I was considering having a party here and well I wondered if that could be done and perhaps the price."
She knew she was talking a bit too much but she was a bit nervous and it was a bad habit too bad there was nothing she could do about it. Maybe the manager would come in and save her from herself. She giggled lowly.

Ash gave a small shrug. "Nick should be around here somewhere. I just walked in, so, I honestly have no clue what the layout of the place is, or where to find him. I just got back from France."
Ash noticed, and this was something he found quite interesting, that the more time he spent in France, talking about France, or even just thinking about France, the more noticeable it became in his voice. His accent wasn't a heavy one, but did hold a slight French undertone to it. You'd almost have to be standing right next to him to hear it.
He turned to Shay and smiled. "But, I'm sure if we look around we can find him. Or, he may just pop out of nowhere!" he quipped with a small laugh.

They both it seems had just gotten there. So the owner might or might not be there. Shayla hoped he was somewhere around she did want to find out about this as soon as possible, there would be so much to do. Set the date, get the invitations ready, buy a new outfit, wonder if she could get Tyson to come too. Thinking of Tyson made her smile, just his name made her smile.
Trying to remain focused she heard the young man say that he was just back from France. Shayla marveled at that, she had always wanted to go there but since she wanted to work for the ministry so bad she pretty much went to training right after leaving school. Traveling had to take a back seat. [color"Did you enjoy France? Is it as beautiful as I imagine?"
Now that she listened she did think she heard a slight accent in his voice when he spoke. 'Are you from France Ashton" she followed him around the place taking in the room, it would suit her needs perfectly.

Ash shrugged and with a small laugh replied, "Well, it depends on how beautiful you imagine it to be. But yes, France is very beautiful." He had started to walk around and look for Nick when he heard her ask another question.
"Are you from France, Ashton?"
He turned back around and nodded. "Yes, I am. Lyon in fact. Hence the last name of Laurent!" he said jokingly with a smile. "And please, call me Ash."
Already turning around again, he took vague note of her following him. She seemed to be scoping the room out. Probably deciding whether or not she would have her party here.

Nick was downstairs in the basement cleaning up the remains of a party. It had gotten a little out of hand but it was nothing he wasn't used to. In fact, he liked it; gave him more to do in the mornings. It had been pretty dead so far and since Club Motion wasn't open for breakfast, cleaning was most convenient for the guy. He wasn't wearing anything special for the day, there was no need. Instead, he was in casual clothes; a pair of faded blue jeans, a white long sleeve shirt with a blue graphic tee over it and completing his look with a pair of white converse shoes. He heard the door upstairs open then shut. It was probably Ashton, he was due to come in around now, or that's when Nick told him to come in.
He came up the steps two at a time, clapping his hands together he greeted Ashton, "Alright, Ash. You ready to get- oh, hi," he cut himself off when he realized Ash wasn't alone. A blond was standing slightly behind him. He held out his hand for her to shake, "I'm Nick Braye," he introduced himself.
Nick had only caught the last bit of their conversation, something to do with France. He watched as the blond looked around the club. He wasn't exactly sure what she was doing but it wasn't like he was going to pry or anything. Instead, he pointed at the two, "Drinks? They're on the house," he said as he turned his back to them and walked behind the bar. "Anything you want."

Ash looked up at the sound of a familiar voice smiling as Nick came up from the basement. "Hey Nick. This is Shayla Kane." he said indicating Shay. "And Shay, this is obviously Nick."
He smiled again at Shay and followed Nick towards the bar. "So, how's business been going?" he asked Nick as he leaned against the bar. "Thrown any wild parties yet?" he said half-serious, half- joking. He looked around the room as he spoke. It was really nice, Nick had definitely outdone himself.
Ash turned to Nick with a smile and said just that, "Wow Nick. The place looks great. You've really outdone yourself."

"Firewhisky then if you're offering"
Came Kieran's answer from the door as he stood there, taking in the people who were already in the club at this very early hour. Letting the door slam shut behind him, wincing slightly as his hangover from last night hadnt really gone away yet, he walked over to the bar, sitting on a stool, and putting his head in his hands. Most of last night was a total blur to him, he was sure there was a point in the night when he didnt know up from down, or left from right. Was he really that wasted? Common consensus on the question was 'damn right you were.'
"Best hangover cure right?" He asked, looking up to Nick with a very small smile, very unKieran like, but even he had his down days, and being hungover was definatly one of those days. "Mind telling me what I did last night, 'cause I really dont remember, besides from the fact me and Ollie fell over, a lot." Though if his memory served him right, he knew he had a hell of a lot of fun, which had to count for something right? Then looking beside him, he noticed the raven haired boy, and the blonde haired chick. He seemed to have forgotten about them for a brief moment and gave them both a wide, but half hearted smile.
"Where were you anyway?" He asked, looking back to Nick, "One minute you were right behind me and Ollie, the next you were gone, I remember that part too cause me and Ollie ditched our female counterparts to look for you." Which of course was a major deal, if Ollie and Kieran ditched their dates for anyone, it was obviously something that they would remember. Of course, Kieran couldnt remember if he found Nick or not. Sometimes he wondered which were the most irresponisble of the two cousins, himself or Nick. Spinning around on the chair, so his back was leaning on the bar, he looked at the place. Funnily enough, it was clean, no glasses lay haphazardly around or anything, either Nick had gotten up stupidly early or he hired a cleaner. Whatever, he was just thankful Nick obviously didnt need his help, damn cousins. You say 'if you need a helping hand i'll be there' and they take it in the literal sense. Typical.

Shay heard a new voice come from out of no where. She looked around shocked at the new comer but figured that this must be the owner Ashton was referring to. This was a great thing now she could see about the party and he was even offering free drinks early as it was Shay didn't mind too much. Her introduced himself and Shay knew she was right in her earlier thinking. He seemed nice enough so she didn't think it would be much of a problem for him to rent the place out for a night.
Shayla pondered what she wanted to drink, while Ashton took over the conversation telling Nick the place looked great. He was right on that note the place did look amazing. Shayla was still looking around taking measurements in her head. This would be big enough not that she had that man friends at the ministry. It was more a nice gesture kind of thing.
Then another voice came out of nowhere Shay turned to see another man come in this one looked younger than Ashton and Nick. He seemed to know the gentlemen though so Shay simply smiled at him as he made himself comfortable. Knowing that she would need to speak to Nick soon before he got too bombarded by his friends Shay took a step toward him. "Um Nick I was wondering if I could have your attention a minute regarding a bit of a business proposal if you will. Sorry to interrupt it won't take that long."

Nick nodded in Shayla's direction, "It's a pleasure, Miss Kane," he said before ducking down and disappearing behind the counter. He reached for a few different kind of cups while Ashton questioned him, "Um, business is always booming when you own a club and there was a pretty, well, insane party here last night. Just finished cleaning up after everyone last night," he said, slightly muffled by the counter. He appeared with a two glasses and a coffee mug. Nick quickly poured some coffee for Ashton, some water for himself and hesitated when he came to Shay's drink. "You look like a whiskey girl," he decided finally, pushing the drinks toward the two.
Another voice came into the picture, Nick's cousin had come in. Almost instinctively, Nick reached down and pulled another glass up. Kieran's firewhiskey was sitting there before the gryffindor boy had even found his seat. "The best one I've come across at least," he said with a chuckle. Nick shook his head at Kieran, his amusement visible on his face, "Let's just say you made a few more friends than you had anticipated. Oh, and Alice told me to slug you the next time I saw you. Though, I'm pretty sure she'd enjoy doing it herself. She's a little firecracker that one," he said laughing at the though of a fifth year hufflepuff girl taking down Kieran.
The next question caught Nick off guard and he ran a hand through his hair, "Well, I was waiting for the new assistant manager to show up last night turns up they're not expected for another week. But other than that, I had other, business, to attend to," he answered. "It's a good thing you showed up now instead of earlier. I would've made you help out but its all done now."
Nick turned his attention to Shay when she began to talk, "Ah, no problem. You're not interrupting anything important. Business is always first," he said with a friendly grin. "What can I do for you?"

As Kieran sat down, his hands went to the glass of firewhisky and he knocked it back without so much as a second thought. In the muggle world, people used Brandy and Port for hangover cures, when Kieran was first told about using alcohol to battle an alcohol fuelled hangover he was skeptical, but after Ollie's mum forced it down Kierans neck he was fine again. He never forgot that day, it was one of the funniest times Kieran could remember and Ollie didnt even help him while his mother wrestled with Kieran to pin him down and force the liquid down his neck. Not that he minded really, Ollie's mum was a bit hot. A smirk played his face when he thought of this, Kieran often winded Ollie up saying stuff about his mum just to gross him out. It usually worked too, but now Ollie just blanked everything out.
"I didnt come across it, but it works a treat." The hangover was already easing as he pushed the glass back towards Nick. Kieran could see the amusement on his face, which either meant Kieran did something extreamly stupid last night, or he became... Well he made a few more, beneficial friends shall we say. "Well whats new there, I always make 'friends'" Kieran held his hands up and did quote marks with his fingers on the word friends. By friends he probably didnt mean people he would hang around with again, in all honesty, Kieran couldnt remember who he had met last night. Looking towards the blonde, he could safely say he didnt think she was one who he met last night. Which was good, or he'd be in a right load of trouble by now. "Alice?" Kieran's startled voice came a little louder than what was necessary. "Why? What did I do now? Oh man, I didnt meet and ditch did I?" Running a hand through his hair he found himself laughing at himself. Any guy would be nuts to meet and ditch Alice, she would murder you. Kieran wasnt ashamed to admit the girl kinda scared him. But he liked her none the less. "A little firecracker? Hell, she's the queen of firecrackers."
"Oh yeah, I vaguely remember you mentioning something about some form of Manager." He looked towards the beer on the wall and noticed they needed changing since most were almost empty. "Mind if I do something?" Kieran asked, indicating to the beers. "Beats sitting around." Walking behind he easily unclipped the bottles, Kieran didnt mind helping Nick out, afterall favours were favours and Kieran couldnt count the number of favours he actually owed Nick. "Help out with what? Bar work, fine. Cleaning? You should hire a cleaner." It was no secret Kieran hated cleaning. Wiping down the bottle from under the bar before clipping it up into the place of the empty one he had just unclipped.

Maybe it came with the territory being a club owner you get a feel for what people like. He seemed to know she was whiskey drinker, a glass full made it way toward her and Shayla couldn't help but be amazed. Not one to pass up a good drink she thanked Nick and took a sip, feeling the burn as the liquid slid slowly down her throat. Nothing like whiskey to get her going. She didn't get to drink much lately since work was keeping her insanely busy. A little down time was much needed and Nick hit the spot with this whiskey it tasted superb.
Enjoyable as it was though she had to keep her wits about her. She was here to conduct business not act as if she was out on the town. That she would do later, maybe she'd give Tyson a call and see if he'd like to do something fun. Again she allowed her thoughts to run away from her.
Shaking her head she stood listening to the gentlemen chit chat back and forth. The new arrival was given a fire whiskey a second favorite of Shay's. Boy did she need to get out more, she was actually fantasizing about drinking. Work was certainly keeping her tied up. This party couldn't come at a more convenient time. Well, the almost party as long as she could get Nick to agree. Shayla waited for him so they could talk hopefully she would be out of his hair soon.
As he informed her he was ready Shay walked away from her whiskey and over to Nick. "Thank you so much for taking the time to see me I know you're probably busy with the club and everything. I was just really interested in using the place for an event I'd like to throw. I work at the ministry of magic at the moment and well I'd like to throw a party for myself and my co-workers. This place is just right so I wondering if there's any way I could rent it for one night. Any night that's good for you would be just fine."
