Alex Malfoy stood there at the pub's entrance. It was six thirty and he knew his little Maeve would be early as she loved to be. He shook his head with a smile, his cousin never ceased to amaze him.
Today, he thought there was something a bit off, but everything seemed normal. He was at Hog's Head's entrance, but not inside, as normal; he was meeting his cousin, as normal; she'd be arriving in twenty minutes, being ten minutes early, as normal. And yet, he felt something was going to happen today. Something wonderful and different.
But he shrugged it off.
As he waited there, he decided to have some fun. When he saw his cousin enter Hogsmeade, he ducked around the corner where he could see her, but there was no way for her to see him.
He stayed there, watching her approach. Then he noticed something. She wasn't alone. She was with a boy, a cute one at that. Yes, the two Malfoys had the same taste in boys, which made it easier for the two to get along better, surprisingly.
He went deeper into the alley, he could still see them approaching, but he wanted to surprise both of them... and get to know his little cousin's boy.

Maeve skipped up the steps of the dungeons to the entrance hall and through the doors. She knew she was to meet Ashton at his apartment and then find her cousin Alexandre at Hog's Head. She smirked at the thought of playing matchmaker. She knew this match was a match made for heaven. They were the angels, and she was playing as God. Not the best thing to do, but she knew this would work.
She walked all the way to Ashton's apartment and walked right into the building, bypassing everyone who needed a room or was just lounging in the lobby. She ran up the stiars and pounded on Ashton's door. "C'mon, lover boy! Time to meet destiny!" she laughed at the odd stares she was receiving from some old couple down the hall, as well as a few other people.

Ash, still in the bathroom putting his makeup on, jumped slightly as he heard pounding on his door. Luckily he had just put his eyeliner down so nothing got smeared.
"Alright, hold your horses woman, I'm comin!" he laughed, as he walked to the door and opened it to let his friend in.
"So, do I pass inspection?" he asked. He was wearing skintight black skinny jeans, a black t-shirt that said 'Haters Make Me Famous' not that you could see it for the black and white chess-board hoodie he had on, and of course his black and blue checkered Vans. His eyes were subtly outlined in dark grey eyeliner. Not too much, but just enough to pick up the sparkle in his sapphire eyes
He smiled at Maeve. "Ok, so where are we supposed to meet him?

Maeve's eyes widened when she saw her friend at the door. She eyed him up and down and whistled. He looked excellent, even if he was in just his regular clothes. "Boy, let's just say if you were straight or even bi, my cousin would not be meeting you. I'd take you to my manor and lock you in my closet." she grinned.
Taking one of his hands, she tugged on his arm lightly. "We're meeting him in our normal spot. Hog's Head." She smiled and tugged again. "Come on!"
This time, she pulled him so he was following her, and she walked all the way to the entrance like that. Quickly looking around, she turned back to Ash. "It looks like he isn't here just yet. Although, we are ten minutes early. So," she looked up at his hair. She reached up and messed it about just a bit. "There we go." She kissed him on his cheek in a sisterly fashion and nodded. "Now we just wait." She sat down on the raised edge of the step to the Hog's Head entrance.

Ash blushed at Maeve’s praise. “I’m not that good looking!” he protested shyly. It was odd that he was thinking this way. He usually knew he looked good. Not that he was vain, mind you. Just aware of his looks, but for some reason, he was unsure today. Maybe he was nervous?
What was there to be nervous about though? From what he’d heard, Alex was really nice. And hot. Okay, maybe there was something to be nervous about. No, there wasn’t really. But he was anyway. Oh well. He’d get over it.
Ash smiled as Maeve kissed him on the cheek and followed her to the alley. “So, how often does he visit?” he asked curiously. He wanted to learn as much about Maeve’s cousin before they met. And who better to ask, than Maeve herself?

Alexandre surpressed the urge to laugh when he saw the boy Maeve brought with her start looking down another alley that they were by. He heard him ask his question, smirked.
Walking up behind the boy, he whispered into his ear, "Why not just ask the man in question?" Awaiting his response, Alex walked over to his cousin and picked her up, placing her on her own two feet. "Are you getting shorter every time I see you, Little Mae?" he laughed.
Looking back at the boy, his smirk remained. He may be kind, but he's a Malfoy, after all. He taught Maeve how to smirk! He liked his smirk. "Oh, by the way, I come here about once a month to meet this little angel." He was sarcastic on the word 'angel', now grinning at his cousin. "Truly, I don't know how you stand her. She's such a short, awful, deviant, small, annoying, tiny, cunning, sly, smirking, little blonde Slytherin girl." he turned back to the boy. "The name's Alexandre Malfoy." he introduced himself, smoothly.

Hearing a voice behind him, Ash jumped slightly, and turned around. As soon as he turned, he froze. Ash froze, still as a statue as he locked eyes with those of the boy now in front of him. He could feel his breath catch in his throat, and a slight blush warm his cheeks. Biting his lip he looked down, suddenly mesmerized by the pattern on his shoes.
Ash looked up a moment later, blush gone from his face, but as soon as his eyes locked with Alex’s again, Ash found that this was a mistake. Once more, he felt slightly breathless and there was an odd sensation in his stomach. A burning sensation. It was not however, uncomfortable and painful. Instead, it seemed to be warm, and gentle. Filling him with a glow.
Ash wasn’t exactly sure what was going on. But, he did know one thing. At this moment, nothing else mattered. Everyone and everything, except Alex had faded out. He heard nothing else, saw nothing else, felt nothing else. Not the shops lining the streets, not the buzz of conversation around him, not even the frigid biting wind on his face. It was as if they were the only two people in the world.
Taking a breath to recover, Ash smiled at the other boy. If this isn’t love at first sight, I don’t know what is. Ash mused silently to himself as he finally took a breath and gathered the nerve to greet the other boy, with a shy, soft-spoken, “Hi.”
