"Hey watch it, can't you see I’m plastered?" Ollie smirked before playfully slapping Lucas on the shoulder. Lucas had so much energy recently and even in Ollie's broken state he would treat him like normal and be overly rough. The silly kid kept forgetting that Ollie's arm was bandaged up and his ankle was too. Grinning over to Kieran, he pulled his scarf around his neck tighter as he leant against the back of a bench in the middle of Hogsmeade.
"Have fun guys, I’ll see you later. Christmas shopping for you guys is always a pain in the ass-" he smirked again before Kieran said goodbye and gave him a manly hug before jogging off after Lucas who had already broke into a run and was now halfway up the street.
"I guess that's a yes" he sighed as he watched the pair disappear out of sight and he hauled himself up onto his crutches. Hobbling along the icy street he had no idea where to start to begin his Christmas shopping. Firstly there was his family to buy for, Lucas, Kieran, Rieko. Then little presents for the others like Dante, Paige, Alicia, Bryn and Brooke, and maybe even Fay and Bray if he could afford it.
Looking around, he wondered when the familiar blonde headed girl would turn up, and like most other girls, she was running late. Looking around, he took a few more steps and looked into a shop selling all sorts of bric-a-brac. A child’s wooden toy, a quill in a beautiful crystal pot, the feather a pure white with slight raccoon patterning and a golden nib sat upon a navy journal and an old pocket watch sat opened up ticking away, sadly at the wrong time. As Ollie looked up and into the shop, he caught the reflection of the familiar face of Rieko. He smirked slightly and decided he would wait to see what she would do.

So she was running a little bit late, but hey she wasnt as perfect as some people made her out to be. Its not like she forgot she had planned to go christmas shopping with Ollie. Honestly. Okay, maybe she had, but she had been so wrapped up in listening to Bryn talk about his many jokes, which Rie found absolutley hilarious she had completley lost track of time. It was only when Brooke slyly mentioned Christmas Shopping in Hogsmeade she had suddenly yelped, "Ollie!" In the middle of the common room, much to a lot of people's amazement and Brooke had basically doubled over laughing, leaning on Bryn's shoulder for support as the Gryffindor Gal went running out of the common room, only to be nearly knocked over by Dante.
Ten minutes or so later, she was definatly late now, she had realised that when she saw Kieran and Lucas walking up the path back to the Castle. Trying to hide her guilty expression, Rie tried to pass by unnoticed but Kieran spotted her and said slyly, "Isnt this taking fashionably late to the extreame Rie?" He raised his eyebrow at her in a joking manner, "He's waiting for you so dont keep the cripple waiting too much longer." "Bite me Kieran." She answered, playfully sticking her tongue out, to which he dodgfully answered, "Dont tempt me," and walked away laughing with Lucas. Rie picked up her pace as she went more or less running down the path to hogsmeade. Who knew, Rieko Daniels would be running to meet up with Ollie LaRoque? It would have been laffable if she wasnt so late. Why did Bryn keep her talking for so long, oh this was a wonderful start.
Finally, she got into Hogsmeade and leant forward. Her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath. After a few moments she picked herself up and went weaving through the crowd to try to find Ollie. Well, he was crippled right? It wasnt like he could get very far in a short space of time could he? Though she couldnt help thinking this was typical, the one time she wanted to find him was probably the only time she wouldnt be able to. "Okay, If I was Ollie where would I be?" She asked herself, "In the middle of a gaggle of girls no doubt..."
Though as she walked up the street looking at the shops, she saw his blonde hair and plastered limbs and suddenly felt a little bad one of them was because of her. And yet here she was, got off scott free. She walked upto him and gazed around him looking at what he was looking at. It was pretty, and extravagant in its own way. Fluffy too. She tilted her head and looked to his reflection in the window, who was looking at hers. She grinned and gave him a small hug from behind. "Hello Mister." She chirped, "How's the limbs? Seriously, anybody would think you got a thrill from pain. Plastered arm and leg? I should just kill you and end your life of torment." She teased, a smile on her face as she spoke. Her arms still around his waist. This was still a little awkward for her but she tried to make an effort, especially since he was all... wounded.

It took Ollie a moment to realise that Rieko had spotted that he was looking at her through the reflection and he bit down on his lip to try and stop himself from laughing at how they were looking at each other. He couldn't help himself, and he would probably end up with yet another broken limb, but it had to be said. He was staring at her through a reflection, so who could miss this chance?
"Ah, the Basilisk!" he joked as he felt arms around his waist. Giving a soft laugh he hopped around and turned the other way before leaning down slightly and giving her a quick kiss on the lips. Looking around quickly, he stood up straight once again happy that nobody saw that public display of affection, especially when it was with someone elses girlfriend.
"Hey hey" he warned before she punched him. "That one's allowed to let slip, you are late afterall" he smirked before he began to walk forward with his crutches. "Did you happen to see the boys on the way here?" he asked, unsure what to say right now. It was the first time they had been out together and kissed each other in public, and Ollie knew it would be bad for both of them if word got back to Blake that his loving girlfriend was off kissing other guys behind his back. News like that spread like wildfire in Hogwarts and he was surprised they had managed to keep it a secret for so long already.
"So what is my beautiful lady wanting from her knight in shini-...bandaged armour this year? Bare in mind you'll have to sit on my lap and ask me for it first" he said with a playful wink. In truth, he had no idea what to get her and racking his brain made it hurt, so although it would be less special for her to know what her present was, at least it was something she definately wanted. "As long as it doesn't cost an arm and a leg....get it?" he chuckled before giving a deep sigh. "I've been hanging out with Lucas way too much this week"

"Whoa!" Rieko raised her eyebrow as she stepped back, putting her hands on her waist and tapping her foot. "Who are you calling a basilisk? You're lucky you're damaged goods or I'd have kicked your arse for a comment like that!" Though she watched as he turned and hobbled to face her, how could she possibly stay mad at a cripple? She went back to looking into the shop window, though when Ollie leant down Rie nearly jumped back, slapped him and said 'what the hell are you doing?' when he kissed her. Only to realise he was doing now, what he was technically, by her rules, allowed to do. Though she looked around self-consiously, hoping too, nobody saw that. Afterall if she was going to do this, she wanted to be careful until she could actually talk to Blake. She had been avoiding him and he had more than likely noticed. So much for Gryffindor Bravery right? Though how brave can you be when you're basically holding someone's heart in your hand and are about to crush it without them even realising it.
"Yeah," She sighed, "You're right. I am late so I guess I deserved that one. But dont think just because you're a cripple now that you're going to get special treatment!" Wagging a finger in his face she smiled. "Kieran and Lucas?" Tilting her head to the side again, "Yeah I did. They were on their way back to the Castle, why?" Yes. It would be very bad if word got back to Blake, no doubt if someone had seen that he'd know in the next five minutes or so. This place was like chinease whisper central, however she hoped vainly that the chinease whisper might end up something like, stupid. Because lets face it whispers get thrown out of proportian but it was unlikely a whisper like this would not get to Blake. Of course, she was half way sure nobody had seen it so she tried to push it from her mind and enjoy the day.
"Yeah, I was just about to correct you." Rieko laughed and leant against the wall giving off a little sigh. Truth be told the girl didnt like Christmas very much. It wasnt really a special time in their family anymore. Not since Max's mother was killed, even though it was nowhere near christmas when she died, they felt it more on christmas than any other time of the year. At the mention of christmas present her face grew slightly distant and grave and she simply shrugged. It was hard to be in the Christmas Spirit, but Ollie didnt know that, and he wasnt going to either. "Uhm, I dunno surprise me. Wrap yourself..." She looked at the bandages, "Well you're already halfway there I guess uhm... wait what?" Rieko backtracked, obviously her mind had wandered and only just realised his comment about laps, she raised her eyebrow and said in a low tone, "Oh yeah Mr LaRoque, thou shan't be so lucky." She stuck her tongue out however since she was only jesting. "Heaven forbid you spend any more arms and legs. You're running kinda low on them at the minute." She poked his chest and laughed, "Im serious Ollie, you dont have to get me anything. Christmas is just a waste of time. People spend money on things nobody really needs... Its no big deal." Wow, look at Christmas Grinch. "Well its about time, you havnt spent much time with Kieran or Lucas lately." She accused, "They're you're friends and doesnt Kieran like... basically live with you out of school?"

Ollie simply gave Rieko a smug smirk, knowing full well she wouldn’t act on her impulse to hit him and so in true Oliver style, he was going to try and take full advantage of his disadvantaged self and bask in the glory of being a broken man. He’d already had a hell of a lot of fun making Lucas run about for him on errands that didn’t even need to be done. Poor little Luke had been in such a tizzy while running around to try and do everything that Kieran and Ollie had put on a long piece of parchment that were really just joke and novelty items to see how far he’d get before he’d get annoyed. Every time he came back panting and exhausted from finding an item, Ollie and Kieran would laugh their heads off. When he came back soaking wet and handing Kieran a clump of mermaid hair that they decided the joke was over. The poor guy had been stabbed in the butt with the mermaid’s trident as he tried to swim away and he now walked with a slight limp. Still, it was priceless at the time.
“You know I’m only messing beautiful” he grinned, on the verge of laughing. He stroked her cheek once before he continued to hobble alongside her. As she answered his previous question then asked why, Ollie simply shrugged and gave a little moan, signalling that he was just asking and he wasn’t wondering for any particular reason. “No reason” he said simply.
“Hey, if I want to get you something I will alright Mrs Grinch. Oh by the way, did you change your last name?” he smirked once again. Score two! This playing on his broken bones thing was more fun than he originally thought. It definitely made up for the whole broken ankle and Merlin knows how many stitches in his arm from the axe wound. Somehow he was also glad he was in Hogsmeade, nothing crazy seemed to of happened here yet, although time would tell, Ollie was here after all and usually trouble seemed to follow him wherever he went so even if he did try to hide, he was sure he wouldn’t be able to.
“Yeah I know. Well, less time with Kieran really because he’s been off doing other things which I don’t blame him for. It’s not his fault that I got attacked twice in a row and that I’m in this state is it? I can’t expect him to wait on me hand and foot... that’s what Lucas is for” he laughed.
Okay, so partially that was true, but why did he need to reveal that?
“Kieran’s like a brother to me, and probably why he’s not been with me in Hogwarts twenty four seven is because he’s always at my house back home. He hardly ever is at his house unless we’ve got the occasional family thing to do” he replied. Truth was, Ollie loved Kieran being around all the time and he couldn’t imagine what life would be like if Kieran didn’t stay around all the time. He had also been part of the La’Roque’s Christmas celebrations for the past three years running because his parents didn’t seem too bothered about making it a family event. Ollie’s mum and dad were good like that, and they saw Kieran like a son too, more than Ollie sometimes in fact.
The great thing was that Ollie and Kieran always had a lot of parties and small get togethers at Ollie’s house and they were always a hoot. Lucas would often come over too and the poor lad couldn’t handle his drink anymore than he could his women. The odd time a girl did find him cute however, he ran off screaming almost. Lucas was really scared of girls, he was all talk yet as soon as a girl liked him he ran a mile unsure of what the heck to do next. He obviously didn’t learn from the best; Kieran and Ollie.
“So, let’s go and get you your present okay?” he smiled, leading her into a small shop down a smaller alley that led off from the main high street. A jewellery shop nonetheless. Pushing open the door for Rieko, he let her pass before he followed her in. “You have free rein Rie”
