. Dreadlocks! Wasn't exactly her style, but heres the kicker: he had knotted feathers, rocks, quill, ink jars, beads, and various items of food in the hair. So Willa was basically a walking junkyard, during which people laughed and pointed as her big hair become even bigger. She had gotten him back by dying his hair pink, and giving him girly pigtails, which could only be removed by her, and her alone; but not only that, she had made sure to take a picture of it, for.. Emotional purposes, lets say. Catapulting over a bench, or rather tripping and flying over it, Willa hurriedly picked herself up, seriously not wanting to get caught by him. Hearing him vault over the bench behind her she couldn't help but grin, but she didn't dare look over her shoulder to let him see it. "Might as well give up, McGuff! I have long legs and plenty of time." She laughed, veering around a couple and heading back over the lawns from the Courtyard. He was quick to follow, naturally, being a guy. Darn him and his manly speed. What he was going to do to get her back (which was probably in his possession at the moment, during the wild goose chase) she'd rather not find out. It seriously wounded a male's ego if they ran around with neon pink pigtails for hair. Changing directions towards the Forbidden Forest Willa was almost to the safety of the trees.. And she made it in, tripping over roots and wrapping her fingers around a cut on her wrist as she kept running.[/ul]

He had been happily sitting and trying to get an afternoon nap in the gryffindor common room when his prank rival entered and without warning had somehow managed to give him shoulder length pink hair which was only given away by the fact it began to tie itself into pigtails. He had to jump up and look in the mirror to believe it and as she giggled in the half opened entrance, he managed to prank her back giving her pretty much a junkyard for a hairstyle. Even though he got his own back, it still wasn't enough and hence the wild goose chase began around the castle.
They had been screaming and shouting back and forth for what seemed hours as they sped around the castle, both knocking into things and people in their desperation to either get away or capture the other. Eventually both began to slow down although Lucas seemed to be less out of breath than Willa. "Get back here you slimy flobberworm! I'm gonna hex your eyeballs out of their sockets!" he joked as he rumbled down a few steps and jumped the rest, slowly closing the gap between them. He had his wand ready and tried every so often to hex her moreso, although everytime he tried he missed and got some poor unsuspecting soul. In his line of destruction there would be someone with a beak for a nose, another one sprouting flowers from their ears and a third (who he hexed just for the sake of it, little slytherin brat) who now had a squirrel's tail poking out from his backside.
Eventually they had made it outside, and as the further they got the more trees there were, Lucas grinned. He had her caught in his web now. He could practically hear the evil laugh cackling in his head. He soon slowed down as he neared the entrance to the forest and caught his breath while he had the chance. Flicking his wand at the tree above her, the leaves soon fell in a mass, swooping around her in a spiralled whirlwind. He simply laughed as they began to spin fast and fast around her, locking her in a leafy cage. "Not the best move Will!" he laughed.

to threaten her with leaves?! Why leaves?! He knew she was utterly terrified of them, the great lummox. Throwing her hands over her face and falling to her knees Willa screamed, as she felt the dangerous plants start to shower her face with paper-cut-like marks. The edges were pretty sharp, once thrown at high speeds at human skin, yeah? Trying to keep herself from hyperventilating while shielding her eyes at the same time, the Gryffindor could barely open her mouth without getting a fistful of nature shoved down her throat. "Youmghff jeferk!" Translation: You jerk! She tried to scream at him, her voice muffled by the leaves invading her mouth. Trying to reach one hand to her back pocket to get her wand but failing, Willa sat there, knees hugged to her chest as the leaves continued to rocket around her. Trying to crawl out from the mass of green now the Gryffindor coughed, spitting out pieces of leaf as they continued to follow her. "Call them off- umphf!" She had tried to say before she was surrounded again, but they were on her tail already, the little buggers. Issuing a soft, pitiful wail, Willa crawled up again, resisting the urge to scream. Damn leaves, with their.. Leafy-ness. Terrifying, completely terrifying. How he could stand them, she'd never know. "Nice hair!" She spat at him playfully, before leaves entered her mouth again. Gagging and spitting them back out she swatted at the swarming things, laughing. Seeing as he wasn't calling them off she finally managed to get to her wand, which she pointed at him, and soon a swarm of bees (de-stinger'd ones, of course!) came ricocheting after him, buzzing loudly. You gotta fight fire with fire.. In this case fear with even more fear.[/ul]

Lucas simply stood there howling with laughter at a face Willa pulled when she realised she was surrounded by leaves. He held his torso as it began to tighten, bending over to try and loosen the grip that had wrapped around his chest. He breathed in and out heavily, feeling the burn rise from the what seemed like twenty mile run around the school. His eyes closed fighting back tears of laughter as Willa screamed a dreadfully girly scream and the leaves attempted to shove themselves down her throat everytime she spoke. He was tempted to try and say something to her but laughter just began to bubble up and blurt out instead of audible words.
Standing up straight again he wiped his eye free from a tear as he continued laughing. He began to play with his now long pink pigtails in a mocking way to her as if he didn't care. If he had them in for long enough he could make a few good pranks with them and as he stood there still laughing, he began to think of what he could do with his new hairstyle.
Before he knew it there was a loud buzzing in his ear and his eyes widened as the rest of the swarm of bees caught up with their predecessor. His mouth dropped open and he began to run away from the scene of the crime back towards the castle. He stumbled as he tried to climb up the hill and managed to get himself surrounded by them. He simply screeched an almost identical scream like Willa's and managed to point his wand at her through the mass of black and yellow insects. The leaves soon stopped whirling round her and gracefully floated to the floor creating a pile of them. "Alright alright, your turn now" he said, eyes closed.

She thought desperately, finding it harder and harder to breathe as a thick vine wrapped and tightened around her neck.. This wasn't fun anymore. As involuntary tears sprung to her eyes, Willa struggled to keep her head up as her vision blurred.. I'm going to kill him once I get down there. She thought angrily, ironic enough.[/ul]

Eventually the buzzing ceased and the bees seemed to shrink until they had completely dissapeared from view. Slapping at his ear, he still felt like he could feel them crawling on him and he eventually opened his eyes to see Willa laughing. He raised an eyebrow at her and began laughing with her. "Good game William, Good game" he said, outstretching his hand to call a truce, but as he did she was somehow on the floor and being dragged away. Lucas just stared at her as she was dragged away getting further into the forest. He was totally confused, and all he could concentrate on was the sheer horror on her face. After a moment, he shifted and began to run after the trailing Willa, fighting his way over tree roots and mud holes.
"Willa!!" he shouted, swinging his wand this way and that as he hurdled over more debris scattering the forest floor. "Willa!!" he repeated, unsure where she had been dragged off to and where. He continued forward and finally saw eye to eye with her again. He looked up at her his brows knitted together and his eyes full of confusion. "Willa, willa..." he continued gripping his wand with his teeth as he stepped nearer and tried to release the hold that the vines had on her. Pulling at the one tightening around her wrist, he could not loosen it, and he panicked. He tried the other wrist and it just continued to tighten it's grip around her. He pulled at the vine restricting her mouth, trying to push his fingers into her mouth to grip onto it to able her to breathe. Pushing his weight against the trunk with his feet, the vine eventually broke and he went flying backwards landing on his butt. He grimaced as he landed funny, giving him serious pain in the lower back. He thought he may of broken it, but it didn't matter, all that mattered was he needed to get Willa out of there.
With her able to speak, he managed to pull himself up even through the pain stabbing and shooting up his back and down his legs. "Willa, will reducto work?" he asked in a panic, hobbling as fast as he could back to her.

" She fought to say, thinking fast. Squeezing her eyes shut to force out the last word she could manage saying, the Gryffindor got it. "Fi-fire.." She rasped. Fire fire fire fire, she mentally willed the thought at him. If the vines were lit on fire they'd recede and try to, y'know, not get themselves burnt to death, right? He could either try and set the vines on fire, the ones that were wrapped around the opposite side of the tree, or set the entire tree on fire. She hadn't seen where they originated though, they might not even be part of the tree, but still, the fire should distract them long enough for him to pry her lose and give him hell for tying her up in the first place. Though.. She wasn't entirely certain he was behind this, it wasn't his typical style of pranking. Death and terror weren't his forté in this case, he preferred more teasing and fun approaches. If they were humiliated, at least they laughed along and had some good times with it. If he didn't do this, then who did? Rasping for air now she could feel her vision blacken, the pictures shrinking into a fine point in the distance. She had lasted quite a while without much of an air supply, but everything ran out in time, and as Willa's eyes fluttered closed her body slowly began to slacken.[/ul]

Typical, really typical on all levels. One, Lucas always found himself in some predicament, albeit not usually ones as life threatening as the current one, but always a predicament nontheless. Normally he would be getting told off for stealing cups from the staff room right about now, or telling Erys to go and rip up his homework, at least then he could say some kind of animal ate his homework, even if the closest he could get to a dog doing it was a cat.
Lucas was never normally one to panic in situations, he took everything in his stride, never battering an eyelid to everyday situations. This. This was entirely different. Even in a world of magic, trees tying you up and suffocating you was not part of a daily routine. Even he knew that. As he struggled with the vines that were restricting Willa, he cursed and screamed at it in a vain attempt to help. He lost his temper for one of the first times ever, and his strength ripped away another vine, sending him stumbling slightly but managing to keep upright. He was in panic mode now, and he wouldn't leave Willa to be hung to a tree...dying. He couldn't. He was a gryffindor for some reason for crying out loud, even if it was stupidity, he still had some bravery whether it was classed as stupidity or not.
That was when he saw her lids flicker closed. He stood dumbstruck for a split second, his expression dropping. The tree was killing her. There was no other thing for it. Fire it was. With a look of desperation mixed with sorrow in his eyes, he gulped back a dry lump and began to set the tree and vines on fire. He watched as it began engulphing the wood and the vines began to drop away, leaving Willa free and dropping...
He managed to just shove his wand between his teeth and catch her as she fell from the tree. The pressure of the fall made his knees buckle slightly before he stood up, wrapping her arm around his neck as he wrapped his around her waist, dragging her out of the forest as quick as possible, which wasn't all that fast. As he grunted and sweat protruded from his forehead, he managed to drag her out to the entrance before placing her to the floor and dropping to his knees at the side of her. She was unconcious, and as Lucas pressed his fingers in turn to her wrist and neck, he could not feel a pulse. Panic set in once again as he prepared himself to give her mouth to mouth.
Tilting her head back, he himself took in a deep breath. He was glad that when he went back home he saw episodes of ER, mainly for the gore and gruesome injuries, but watching it must of taught him the basics. The basics which he needed right this moment. He looked at her lifeless form, her hair still how he had made it and he found it hard not to laugh even in the seriousness of the moment. He leant over and pinched her nose, pressing his lips against hers, giving her the kiss of life...

her bruises, thats how purple-splotched her body looked right now, the Gryffindor shoved him away from her, eyes wide. "What are you doing?!" She exclaimed, her voice high and out of key thanks to her nearly crushed throat. Hopefully her windpipe wasn't damaged enough so this would be a permanent thing, because she sounded.. Feminine. Shudder. "Making out with dead bodies his highly frowned upon in most societies." Willa chastised him, trying to stand as she scooted back but ending up falling and hitting her head against something hard. What was the word? Necrophiliac? She was friends with a necrophiliac, and he had been kissing her dead body. Oh god, oh god.. Jumbled, scribbled thoughts ran through her head, and none of them made sense. Where was she? What just happened? "Why aren't I strapped to a tree?"[/ul]

Suddenly being pushed off, Lucas fell backwards catching himself with his hands. With a frown etched on his face he watched her cough and ask why he was kissing her. His eyes bulged as he helped himself up. "Do you want me to suck the life back out of you then?" he said nearing her as if he was actually going to attempt it. She seemed rather angry and confused and Lucas had no idea why. "If you haven't noticed, your not dead, Willa" he smirked. "So you can think what you like..." he said, turning away. He walked a few steps before turning around and smirking at her with the upper hand.
"You know what? I just saved your life" he laughed. "Yeah, yeah....I just saved your ass from dying. I saved you from the nightmare tree!!" he whooped as he jumped up and down. Stopping jumping when she asked why she wasn't strapped to a tree he looked back at her and coughed. "If you didn't already guess, I, yes I, Lucas Mcguff saved you, Willa Abbott! You almost died!" he replied.
"I think as the hero I deserve some sort of kiss in gratitude" he said cheekily, closing his eyes and puckering up. Of course he knew she wouldn't kiss him, but infact favour slapping him instead. [Sorry about the lame ass reply]

smug, Willa didn't have to guess what was coming; she already knew. The moment he opened his lips and the boasting spewed out, she groaned, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, sass the dead chick, that'll get you somewhere." She replied hotly, though it ended up sounded light and.. Feminine, still. Goodness, what was up with her throat this evening? As his eyes fluttered closed and he leaned forward, lips puckered, she raised her hand to slap him but faltered in her strike -- there was something else she could do that would work much better. Grabbing the nearest small creature she could find--either that or she'd Accio one--that happened to be a frog, the Gryffindor shakily pressed its face to his lips, and would watch, delightedly, as he made out with the frog. Ew, imagine the warts he would get after this! Laughing as she imagined his recoil of surprise at the clammy, wet lips of the toad, Willa placed the slimy thing back on the ground, and it hopped away, perturbed and utterly disgusted with humans. "Dead bodies and frogs, Lucas?" Willa teased, voice playful as she wiped her hands off on her pants. Managing to stumble to her feet and catch herself before she hit the ground the Gryffindor just ended up leaning on him for support anyway, half-wondering if he'd drop her because of the little stunt she pulled with the amphibian. Tripping suddenly, she grabbed at his sleeve for support but fell anyway, tearing the sleeve clean off. Staring at the sleeve in her hand then back up at him with a blank look on her face, she burst out laughing. "Oh.. I'm, so.. So-sorry.." She managed to say, clutching at her sides as the giggles escalated. She owed him big time for saving her lie, and she rips his clothes off?[/ul]

"Yeah, sass the dead chick, that'll get you somewhere."
Her voice quite shrill compared to it's usually deeper tone. The tone shocked Lucas slightly, and by the look on Willa's face, it shocked her too. Astonished at the entire nightmareish scene the two just faced, Lucas somehow still found the humour in it all and began laughing once again, albeit a slightly nervous one. That was of course until he took it a step too far and actually pouted towards her in acceptance of a kiss. Why he did it he was unsure because being Willa, he should of known that a kiss definately wasn't going to be on the cards.
Soon enough something met his lips and croaked just at the right time for his eyes to pop open and for him to jump back in horror. He could practically feel the warts already surfacing onto his face as he pressed his fingers up to his lips to wash off the slimy affection. "Yuck..." he spat out along with a line of drool that hit the glass as the toad hopped off seemingly quite pleased that it had been part of a prank. "You know Willa, it's nothing to be embarrased about if your a bad kisser that you have to get a toad to replace you" he smirked as he crossed his arms over one another before sticking his tongue out at her defiantely as he tested her morals.
Lucas simply stood triumphantly with his head held high as Willa teased him about kissing dead bodies and frogs, simply giving her a rude hand gesture to retaliate to her jests. It was within seconds that she seemingly fell onto him and ripped his sleeve off. Lucas just looked down at his now sleeveless shirt and then up at Willa who still held the sleeve condemned where she stood. "You know Wills, if you wanted to take my clothes of you could just ask!" he replied with a cheeky wink.
"I can always teach you a thing or two about kissing if you like" he said confidently although he knew darn well it was a false statement if ever there was one. Still, no harm in pushing his luck right? Lucas was a expert in that area of life.

At this comment the Gryffindor froze, the torn scrap that was his sleeve crumpling in her tightened grasp. The sudden flare of anger that exploded in her gut surprised her; she didn't often allow such petty insults to bother her. That wasn't Willa. "You think I'm not a good kisser?" She challenged anyway, jutting her jaw out further and standing higher, but seeing as he was taller she wasn't able to tower over him like the rest of the student body. Edged on by the cheeky comment she, eyes blazing, threw his sleeve to the ground, winding her arms around his neck and jerking him towards her. Narrowing her eyes as a wicked smile touched her face, Willa toyed with the skin on the back of his neck, grazing her fingernails lightly across the surface. The gesture cut off his comment about teaching her a thing or two about kissing, and he was startled into silence; not long after she pressed her lips against his, leaning in, feeling his bewilderment in his body language as it, refusing to give, soon melted into acceptance. Well that was what she hoped for, anyway. After a moment of this her eyes flew open, and a strangled yelp gouged itself in her throat. Stepping away from him and managing to compose her face into that of triumph, she hoped the shock was hidden from her face. "Who could teach who a thing about kissing?" Willa mocked him, voice high, eyes still wider than they should have been. Turning away just as the surprise melted back on to her face she placed a hand over her chest to try and quell the erratic, furious beatings of her heart. What did I just do?! She thought frantically. She wasn't the type of girl to just kiss boys to prove a point. And this was Lucas! They were friends. Close friends, maybe. She could have screwed up their entire friendship! "What the.." Willa murmured as reality checked in. Why was she freaking out about something so small? That wasn't her at all. Something wierd was going on here, she wasn't acting herself. And it wasn't her time of the month either, so something was up. Maybe it was something she ate? No, that couldn't be it, she hadn't eaten anything since they were at the castle a few hours ago. Strange.. Very strange. "Lets.. Go back to the castle." Willa whispered, then repeated it louder to convince herself everything was fine.[/ul]

Lucas was basking in his own humor and hadn't really been paying attention to Willa until out of the corner of his eye he saw his sleeve being thrown to the floor and Willa huffing in defiance. Jolting his head towards her, it was too late before she ended up kissing him and his eyes opened wide almost popping from their sockets.
It that wasn't a surprise and a half, he didn't know what was. That was totally unlike the Willa he knew, but for some reason it wasn't long until he unstiffened and seemingly melted into her embrace. His eyes were still wide when she stopped kissing him, and for once Lucas was speechless.
"Wow....I mean erm.. I could teach you a thing or two, sure thing! You just caught me off guard, is all!" he scrambled to find his words. Gulping slightly, he rubbed the back of his neck where Willa's nails had slightly grazed the skin. He beckoned her with his hand to come nearer as he took a step towards her.
"Come here, I'm prepared now!" He said challengingly, smirking and twirling her around before bending her backward and leaning over her to kiss her just like in an old fashioned movie. He smiled all the way through the kiss before he opened his eyes and gave her a cheeky smirk. It was then he dropped her to the floor as she was off balance before beginning to run away towards the castle laughing insanely.

She shouted mock-angrily, scrambling away from a small patch of leaves that had scuttled around her from the landing. Stumbling on to her feet and wiping dirt from her behind she quickly made chase, trying to catch up but finding herself unable. Screeching to a stop and gasping for air, her hand found its way to her throat, and she rubbed it miserably. Seems her lung capacity wasn't back to its usual self. Might take a few days to heal up, seeing as she had nearly been strangled to death a half hour ago. "Lucas?" Willa murmured, voice cracking. Where in the name of toast had he scampered off to now? If something happened she wouldn't be able to scream for help, and that simply would not do. No one wanted her dead except that blasted tree! And, well, various nefarious characters around the school--some part of the school as well--too. While he was hastily making his way back to her (she hoped, at least) Willa touched her fingers to her lips, drawing back at the tingle. Her breath drew in sharply and harsh, eyes wide with wonder at the feeling. Once he was closer though the look vanished under a mask of mixed disappointment and scolding, though it was all in good fun. "Dont make me wack you with my cane, boy." She hobbled up to him, gesturing to her bruised legs.[/ul]
