Noah Yves stretched tautly on his back, aligned with the benches of the quidditch pitch stands. The sky was empty, void of clumsy chasers, besides an inept veil of sunlight and the soft streamline of billowing clouds. Consequently, the entire atmosphere was lost to Noah as he focused diligently on his task.
Tiny rocks clattered beside his ear when he finally pried his gaze away from the cards fanned out gently between his fingers. His lips quirked up, slanting momentarily before falling into a brief half-smile. "Look" he addressed the King of Spades forlornly, "She has never been marred by my charm - what makes you think she'll give into a scraggly thing like you?"
The King refused to acknowledge Noah's wise words, and worse, would not return to his own card. He lounged precariously inside the framework of the Queen of Hearts, leaving his own square blank and rendering the deck useless. With a shake of his head at the card's annoying habits, Noah set them aside and dropped his hands on to his abdomen.
When he looked up to the sky again, he noticed a few figures swerving around the pitch. Exhaling a gust of air that caused his fringe to flutter in spirals on his forehead, Noah placed his arms behind his head and watched the display with a lack of interest.

Alexis had been stalking the Quidditch Pitch as of late. Her desire to be apart of the team once more unbearable. She was so tired of waiting, so she came out every time the team had practice hoping beyond hope that they would ask her to join them. Walking toward the pitch a lone figure highly sad in appearance Alexis saw some players milling about and she wanted to run over to them and ask "can I join you." She didn't though, instead she turned and headed for the stands.
She was so busy worrying about herself that she didn't even take notice that there was someone else out there. Placing her hands in her lap her hands supporting her head she stared out into the expanse of space known as the Quidditch Pitch. Her mind soon began to wander as she saw herself back in Quidditch robes flying with her team, chasing the quaffle around attempting to get it in the other teams hoop.
Her eyes went in and out of focus as her imagination went wild, her brown hair blowing in the slight breeze hat just picked up, but she was too far gone to notice it and stop it. Soon though the fantasy died and she was thrust back into the real world once again, the world in which she wasn't on the team anymore. It wasn't until this moment that she realized how much she loved the game and how much apart of her it had become.

Narcissus made his entrance, kicking Noah's satchel from the bench and leaping down next to him, scattering the deck. “Maybe she’s a little frigid?” No one knows where he came from.
The King’s glossy beard squashed against his chest as he squared himself up against Narcissus, the Queen seizing the opportunity to escape the frame whilst he was distracted. She blushed appreciatively, her deep rosy cheeks rounding in a smile, and with his finger Narcissus pinned the King, pushing him out of the picture entirely. “A Hubbles, I think.” He smirked, gathering up the deck and slipping it inside his pocket. Fun for later. “Although I think that particular bloodline might have struck gold with their latest addition. Gertrude is tantalizing but ex-Miss Owen is quite something. But what do you think, Noah? I prefer experience myself.” He addressed his Gryffindor friend, but his gaze was fixed firmly on the Ravenclaw stood several benches away, gazing out at the Quidditch pitch with hooded, dreamy eyes. He regarded her for a moment before pulling the wicked King from his pocket, flicking it toward her sharply. “I’m sorry,” he said in mock surprise, smiling innocently as it tangled in her twirling hair. “He must like you!”
Narcissus was in a mean mood, but it would be easy to make something of it.

Came a voice from god knew where, and a Gryffindor girl came soaring at them on her broomstick, skidding to a halt so quickly she lost her grip and fell off on to Noah. After crying out a little 'Whoop!' of surprise, and thanking herself for keeping her weight on the lighter side, Willa found herself sitting on her friend and bouncing at the sudden landing, newly-changed blonde hair swinging a little at the lost momentum. "Fancy seeing you again." She greeted him with a grin, resting her hands on her knees as she perched on his stomach. Glancing to his side and the empty cluster of cards--he must've insulted them or something, they hadn't taken to sticking around as of late--she shook her head softly. "Did you tease the poor king again?" She mock-scolded him. "No wonder he doesn't like to participate when you want to play." Suddenly realising there was more than just them present Willa's eyes widened a little; the company was pretty mixed. A Ravenclaw and a Slytherin? Well she'd be damned, there was one of them who dared step off their little pedestal and make friendly with the commoners? Smiling at this Willa waved, forgetting she was on Noah still. Crossing her arms all cool-like, she nodded her head like some poser pretending to be gangster. "'Sup?" She continued with the guise, until breaking it with a laugh. "Hey, I'm Willa." Or they might already know her, her clumsy feats were quite known around the school for bringing laughter and breaking things. Glancing down at her friend underneath her, Willa's eyes widened. "Oh, sorry!" And she tried to lean off of him with no success. "A little help?" She asked him with a grin, hoping to use his hands to help hoist her off of him. Once he had complied--or denied, whatever, she could still sit on him if he wanted, hah--the Gryffindor took a seat on a nearby bench, joining herself into the fun.[/ul]

Noah opened his eyes at hearing Narc's voice, his lips lifting at the corners into a most devious grin. "Who's frigid?" He heard a rustle as Narcissus settled down next to him. "Your latest girlfriend?" Noah refused to sit up but tilted his neck to one side, hoping to catch a glimpse of who his Slytherin companion was referring to.
Smirking at the cards, he lazily slapped a hand down onto the blushing Queen's face. "I think you give the King too much credit" Noah replied to his question dazedly, blinking against the suddenly blinding sun.
Suffocation suddenly consumed him when Narc grew occupied with the mystery figure on the stands, and Noah coughed in surprise. He rolled his eyes, and moved to rest his hand atop the newcomer instead of squashed below her. "I'm certain the King only grew cranky because he knew you were dropping by, Willa," Noah grinned half-hazardly, watching the ridiculous display that was just so her.
Sending a raised eyebrow to Narc, Noah sat up half-way, one hand straining against the bench to keep balance. "You know me," he said to her with the usual, absurdly exaggerated innocence in his eyes. "Always here to help a damsel in distress."
As soon as he said the words, he pushed her unceremoniously,\ off the bench. She was used to falling, he thought with half-smile, it was almost guaranteed that she'd be perfectly okay. And well, if she wasn't... He'd just owe her, wouldn't he?

Again, the Gryffindor waved her hand in the air, dismissing the thought. "Bah! He should be thankful I didn't accidentally catch my broom on fire this time." To think of what she did to that poor deck of cards that last time.. Portraits everywhere shuddered at the thought. As she was ever-so-gently dumped off of him Willa gave a little 'Oof!' as she hit the floor, and, rubbing her butt, took up a seat on the bench nearby. "How gallant and gentlemanly of you." She murmured dryly, a small grin on her face. He sure knew how to make a lady feel good, didn't he? Well besides the bruised behind she hadn't injured anything, so there was no need to smack him upside the head with a weed wacker. No harm done, eh? Crossing her legs and adjusting herself on the bench, the Gryffindor waved to Alexis. They weren't exactly friends but she had seen her around the halls on occasion, and one time she was sure the Ravenclaw had helped her out of the oven after she accidentally locked herself inside. The house elves hadn't been too tickled after that incident, and her a good chunk of the length of her hair was positively fried, but it gave her a chance to cut it short and dye it black; something she had always been dying to do. And the results were fantastic! Goodness she loved screwing around with her hair. Yesterday it had been dark brown with pink streaks, today it was blonde with blue. Taking the card with a person still left inside Willa tapped their face expectantly. "Oy! Come on and assemble your people, we want to play." The portrait, disgruntled and insulted by the tapping, spit at her, and she drew back in surprise. "Bugger." She muttered.[/ul]

After Echo's morning workout, she makes her way across the grounds to the Quidditch Pitch. She figures at this time of day if her boys aren't in the Dining Hall (which they weren't, she had already checked) then they must be lazing about checking their competition in the favorite sport--next to girl watching that is--Quidditch.
The boys did not disappoint.
"Well, well... you two somehow managed to combine your two favorite hobbies at once, didn't you?" she rolls her eyes and climbs over the back of the bench to sit right between Narc and Noah, "It's not nice to stare, y'know?" she whispers, "She's a year younger than me and if you try to hit on her I'll get to hear every dirty little thing you do. Watch it." she condescends.
She throws her head upside down and twists her hair into a bun, then sees the scattered cards about the ground. "Again, Noah? Really? And you wonder why they don't like you..." she picks up the deck and shakes off the dirt. "All right gentlemen, ladies... and the not so gentle and lady like among you-" she eyes the King of Spades and Queen of Hearts "-shape yourselves up, it's time for a game!" The portraits and numbers line up smartly. "That's the way." She hands the deck to Noah and nods, "Deal 'em, Yves, and I'll own you as usual."

Narcissus returned Willa’s eyes of wide surprise and girlish wave, finding that as usual no Gryffindor gave him grief – something he should have appreciated, but honestly didn’t. If she wondered about him, she would no doubt ask. They all did eventually.
Narcissus looped his arm around Echo’s neck and drew her cheek against his, turning to inflict a deliberately harsh, wet kiss that made her squirm in revulsion. This pleased him as always and they exchanged devilish grins before he pulled away, standing up to push back between Echo and Noah. “We’ve already discussed you’re not centre fold material, my ugly.” He cooed in Echo’s ear. Willa settled down on the other side of Noah, and upon Echo’s little warning he loudly whispered back, “I wonder what kind of Quidditch player needs help getting off whatever’s between her legs? She’s such a flirt, Noah, don’t pretend you didn’t notice.” He paused, overtly glancing past Noah to smirk at Willa. He squeezed Noah’s thigh disarmingly, teasing him. “Maybe it’s you who’s frigid, Yves.”

Was loudly whispered in her direction, and Willa made a face--but it was moreso a grin than anything. "Oh, I don't play Quidditch." Gesturing to her lack of padding/uniform/etc the Gryffindor then remembered she had hopped on someone's broom earlier. Hm, they'd probably be wanting that back now. But where was it? Shifting her eyes around with the hopes of locating it Willa did see a lone broom, but it was hovering high above the other side's spectator stands. Pointing the player whos broom it was over there with an apologetic look on her face Willa then turned back. "Oh please, Noah and I go way back!" She laughed, slapping his back. "We're like.. Uncle and nephew." Chuckling at this, wondering what that Echo girl had whispered sternly to them before the Slytherin had made the comment about her but not really to her--as if she wasn't there, how lovely! ah well, she could care less--but shrugging it off. Probably wasn't her business, and besides that, she had more important things to worry about. "Oh!" She exclaimed, drawing out crumpled pieces of paper from her pocket. "I have muggle homework." She grimaced, spreading them out and pressing them to get them a little less bumpy and a little more flat. "Does anyone know what a rubber duck is?" She questioned them aloud, then shook her head and sent the papers flying with the wind. "You know what? Nevermind, I'd rather play cards." Yeah, okay, so she was a bit of a flirt, but whatever, she liked laughing and smiling and having fun. Plus she just got along better with guys anyhow. Surprised at the friendly gestures going on between them and their Snake friend Willa concluded he was probably an alright guy, to them at least. He hadn't made any remarks about her yet besides the flirt one, and hey, she didn't mind, she was what she was and he had just put it to words. No need in getting ashamed because of it. Besides, Willa wasn't a total flirt, she just enjoyed it now and then.[/ul]

Noah stared pointedly at Willa, eyes flickering with amusement. He felt Echo command the cards next to him, her elbow knocking into his as she collected each stray Jack, and finally looked at her when she handed him the deck.
The red mark on her cheek from Narcissus' assault was still evident and he smirked dazedly. "Try not to play dirty this time," he said gently, leaning back against the benches behind them. As Noah shuffled, Narc squeezed in beside him and he nudged over slightly to find his hip against Willa's. He could feel the others mirth beside him; the game had progressed from simple blackjack long ago - now it was all about who could play the dirtiest.
He grinned wolfishly at Narcissus' joke and set the pile on his Slytherin friend's lap. "Not a very good Quidditch partner," he nodded forlornly, reaching over to grab the Queen from the folds of Narc's robes where she was still blushing scarlet. "And stop wooing my cards." He scolded, fingers tapping the square idly.
The wind pressed hard against their backs suddenly, and the cards flung into the sky. Noah cursed softly, but after catching one of them, let the rest fall limply.
He always found them in Narc's dormitory sooner or later, after all.

"Blech... get off me!" Echo cringes as Narcissus pretends to work his wily ways on her her. "Where have your lips been lately?" she pauses, "Wait, no. I don't want to know," she shudders at the thought of just how many places they might have been, just in the last two hours 'What with the Quidditch teams gathering, and the forest behind the bleachers...' her nose wrinkles with disgust. "You are a filthy specimen, Narky-dear. And I wasn't talking about me," she rolls her eyes in the distinct direction of the silent Ravenclaw a few benches away. She leans in and croons back, "You always were one to pull shy little rabbits out of their hats, just to shoot at them for sport later," she shakes her head shamedly at him before wiping the red gloss off her face. "What flavor are you wearing today, anyways; cherry or strawberry?" she tenatively takes a whiff of the chapstick Narcissus had marked with and laughs, "Pomegranate. You devil you, tempting me with my favorite," she glares teasingly at the Slytherin. "We've already discussed the you're not my type anyways," she smirks at the fact that she was able to use one of his own phrases against him--that was a very rare occurence indeed. More often than not what he said was too vile to be repeated.
As the deck of playing cards turns into confetti for the friendly bench party, Echo shakes her head. "Noah, my dear, your cards will never respect you at this rate. Tsk tsk... and when have I ever played dirty?" an expression of pure innocence fills her fair complexioned face. "If memory serves, the only dirty player of the lot of us is Drachen, no?" the look of naivety in her face is slowly wearing off, but she holds onto it as long as she can. "Then again, can't say I know too much about our new friend here," she leans across Noah's lap to smile at Willa, "Didn't mean to ignore you. I'm Echo, if the guys wailing my name hadn't led you onto the fact," she flutters her eyelashes impressionably. "I think it's only fair to warn you, these two are dirty, low-down cheaters and I wouldn't get involved with either of them unless my life depende- on i- a-- -----" her voice is muffled as Narcissus and Noah each clamp a hand over her mouth, but her eyes, once more filled with mirth and mischief, give away the complete deviousness of what she had planned to say.

Narcissus trimmed his smudged gloss with the pad of his thumb, smearing the thick, sticky residue on Noah’s forearm. “You do hurt my feelings sometimes, Ms Keir. I only ever wear it especially for you, but all I get is rejection. Sometimes I think I should just leave you be,” He rested his head on her shoulder, smiling up at her affectionately. “But I know how much you like it really.” She bucked him off and he purposely threw himself into Noah, nearly toppling the Gryffindor into Willa. “Dear, I’m so clumsy today.”
The playing cards quivered for a moment before tossing themselves into the high wind, spinning above them. Narcissus too snatched at the air, already missing the Queen, but watched in mock forlornness as they descended to the pitch below in flashes of white scarlet. “Aaah that’s a shame. I was looking forward to Willa loosing dismally and having to take a forfeit.” He once against leaned to look at Willa. “We have wonderful forfeits, so you know - you’d have lost on purpose.” He narrowed his eyes at her, although without malice as she might have expected.
Predictably Echo launched her standard user-warning against her impossibly handsome male counterparts, and predictably Narcissus and Noah crammed their sweaty palms over her mouth, Narcissus pushing her dark curly head between her knees. “Echo has problems, I’m afraid,” He said in grave apology to Willa, leaning on the back of her neck like an armrest. “Noah and I aren’t really her friends – she’s incredibly deluded and believes we actually like her. Her mind is addled by lies.” He smiled sadly at Noah. “Tragic, isn’t it?” Echo pinched his ankle and he growled pleasurably, digging his nails into the back of her pale neck.

Noah secretly tucked the joker card he'd managed to catch into Echo's robes. It was a treat that he'd coincidently caught such a card, as it sometimes had the potential to be more lewd than he.
A quiet snicker faded into the fabric and Noah smiled brilliantly. "You know," he said, breaking through their bubble and winding an arm around Echo's shoulder. He spoke into her ear though not quietly; what he said was available for everyone to hear. "The Ravenclaw table smelled strongly of Pomegranate this morning. I thought it was just breakfast... Now I know better."
When his reflexes had his palm pressed against Echo's lips, he found his arm was still sore from where he'd been knocked into. He also hadn't bothered to remove himself from being tangled into Willa, though noticed she was acting awfully timid from what he knew. "Echo really is such a burden," he agreed, his hand traveling down and off her back after Narc continued to tease her.
He watched their display indifferently, shoving both his feet onto the seat in front of them. "So dissatisfied with her own bed stories, she's begun to spread rumors about ours." Grinning wolfishly, Noah bent his head forward, flickering a strand of Echo's hair behind her ear. "You know that we're always willing to help with that frustration of yours, don't you?"

Waving it off with a laugh as her and Noah were forcefully twined together--oh, mirth indeed!--Willa grinned. "You aren't the only one." And they would know all about that, had they more chances to see her in action. She was terribly clumsy herself. Only half paying attention to them and the game she found herself off in her own little world for a time, until she was apologised to along with an introduction from Echo, who promptly began to tell her not to get involved with the pair of boys as they were jerks and cheaters. "Oh my." The Gryffindor laughed, as two hands slapped over Echo's mouth and forced her head down. Then Narcissus offered an explanation for all that and she nodded her head mock-knowingly. They were a great funny lot, weren't they? Couldn't say she minded, they had personality, unlike a great majority of the school running around with their noses up their butts. Eyes widening a little as his hand ran down her back Willa flashed a smirk at him--quite the flirt wasn't he? Pretending she knew what she was doing Willa stared down at her cards with an, again, mock-knowing expression on her face. "Hm hm!" She grunted, then craftily snuck the other joker into Echo's possession. Willa wasn't terribly pro at cards, one could assume, but she played a mean Cheat. She was better at muggle things, most likely, so wizard recreation was all but a myth to her. Of course she didn't have to concentrate on the game because she was offered an out: get teased by Narcissus, though playfully mind you, and at that the Gryffindor grinned. "Oh, let her up." She laughed, shifting to try and help her but tripping over her own twined ankles and falling onto Noah. "Dear me, I'm so clumsy today." She said in a high, falsetto voice, most likely an imitation of the Slytherin's comment earlier. "I apologise." Casting a speculative look at the cards she twidled one in her fingers. "I don't usually play cards." She remarked loftily. "I prefer throwing them at people." Leaning closer to Noah she whispered, "Bad experiance." Voice sounding a little shifty, but she drew back with a laugh.[/ul]

"Mphh pah ochh, grr..." Echo struggles against the strength and weight of her companions--well, Narcissus, now that Noah's hands are full with Willa. From her uncomfortable position she sends death hexes into the minds of Noah and Narc, then mutters under her breath "Why, Narcissus, I thought you wooed girls into your arms, but apparently it's purely thanks to bondage." Her head tilts from side to side thoughtfully, "Makes sense I suppose..." she snickers as he releases his grasp on her promptly and leans in towards her ear for another seductive tear at her to prove his romantic side-- "Don't even try it. It's not worth your time," she runs her hands through his silky dark hair, "We would never work out--I could never love a man so interested by women of canvas and oil," she chides his many rendevous with the Hogwarts portraits. "But you get bonus points for trying," where her hand rests at the back of Narcissus' head she firmly pulls him towards her--granted, with little resistance. She presses her fair, dimly rosy lips against his red-glossed tawny ones, the taste of artificial pomegranate dripping into her mouth as she pulls into him. Just as she feels his lips press back she pushes him away, "Aww, too bad. We've got to keep it PeeGee for any poor second years up on brooms," she nods to the Quidditch practice above where two or three players had stopped on their mounts to stare at the strange gaggle on benches. She shrugs with feigned innocence, then turns her back on her lip lock partner.
She laughs when the overpowering pomegrante scent at the Ravenclaw table is mentioned, "I can only imagine who would've let my little secret slip... especially since only one person here knew it," her foot made perfect contact ramming into Narc's ankle. "And you," she makes eye contact with Noah as his hand starts travelling, "You can just keep your hands occupied with other Gryffindors... even if it has to be yourself," a single dark eyebrow raises challengingly. "Besides, my rumours about your beds are so much tamer than the actual truth, you two should be pleased that I keep your reputation somewhat decent." For Echo this is all a regular schedule of activities for she and her friends, but she worries a bit about how quiet Willa has become until...
"I'm so clumsy today..." She bubbles over with laughter. 'She'll fit in just fine,' thinks Echo amusedly. Echo slaps away Noah's hand when he starts playing with her hair;
"You know that we're always willing to help with that frustration of yours, don't you?" She laughs dryly then leans in close to Noah, but stops just short of his lips and whispers, breath tickling the stubble he hadn't shaved in a month, "It would take the both of you, and probably the Jack you snuck in my pocket to get anywhere close to relieving my frustration." She pulls away again, but blows a kiss to Noah as consolation.
