"Come on honey let's go!" "Ugh... five more minutes." "No! You're getting up now." "Please leave me alone!"
There they sat. Arabelle and Brettleigh. They had best friends for awhile. Even though Arabelle was a pureblood and Brettleigh was a halfblood they met in the wizarding world. Brettleigh's mother lived next door to the Thomas family, so they became friends a young age. So during the summer and other holiday's when Brett would visit her mother they would play and have a jolly good time. When they were eleven years old they found out that both of them had been accepted to Hogwarts... worried they would be seperated by house, that didn't happen they were both sorted into Gryffindors. They kept their friendship, but Arabelle was always the early bird even though she was quiet, but Brett liked her beauty rest.
"Fine!" Brett shrieked as she hopped out of bed. Arabelle smiled smugly from her bed across the small room. It looked like Addy and Prue had run off which was a change. Brettleigh couldn't believe she was up this early on a Saturday. No classes or homework, but she was still up at the crack of dawn. Sticking out her tongue at Arabelle she slipped on a pair of red sweat pants and a gold Gryffindor sweatshirt. Arabelle matched, but with flipped colors. "Okay, so where we going?" Brett asked with so much enthusiasm. "You'll just have to see..." Ara replied with ease.
Sighing Brettleigh was a little nervous. Arabelle obviously had something had something up her sleeve and Brett really didn't want to be her guinea pig. Putting on a fake smile she followed Ara out the door. She noted their every step. They were going to be outside and apparently by the lake. Goody! Being the clutz that Brettleigh was this was going to be so much fun. Arabelle threw her bag down by a tree and pointed to where she needed or wanted Brett to stand. Groaning Brett took her position, which happened to be really close to the lake. Arabelle turned around and bent down to search through her bag. At that immediate moment Brettleigh twisted her foot on accident and some of the wet grass went forward as Brett went backwards.
Flailing her arms and letting out a shrill scream Brettleigh landed back first in the lake. Shivering Brett shrieked,"Arabelle!!!" She might have been her best friend, but this was the last straw. Ara turned around and giggled, but didn't come to her rescue. "Wow Brett you made quite more of the show than I anticipated..." She laughed so harshly. A few more students had gathered around and Brett's whole face had gone red to pale and less than five seconds. She couldn't believe this. Is anyone going to help me?Brettleigh watched as Arabelle grabbed her bag, turned to wave goodbye, and ran off in the other direction. She couldn't believe this. That girl was going to get a ruffin' when she got to her!

For the last few weeks Julianna had been feeling rather restless lately. On top of that she was just about as moody as you could get without having PMS. There was no explanation for this sudden change in mood and attitude but she didn't care she liked it actually, Julia was usually the kind of girl who put up with other people's crap this new Julia well she didn't take any non sense from anyone. Being at this school changed her maybe to some it wasn't for the better but what did that matter to her.
Getting up that day she was in a particularly foul mood. As she left her room she had almost fallen down the stairs because one the girls left their scrunchy on the floor. Julianna became enraged and she started screaming at the top of her lungs. Doors smashed open one by one as people came to check on where the screaming was coming from. Once she had an audience she went on a tirade about inconsiderate morons who tried to kill their fellow students by leaving their filthy scrunchies around the place.
A poor first year girl came up daringly saying it was hers, that one of the older girls had taken it and tossed it out of the room, then threatened her if she went after it. Julia asked her who the girl was. With a trembling index finger she pointed out a big mannish looking fourth year. Julianna chuckled and walked up to her. Then taking one end of the scrunchy with the tip of one finger and the other end with the tips of two fingers she launched the scrunchy right in the girls face. Her eyes were smoldering as if waiting for her to do something. Nothing happened so Julia thought the matter settled and walked down the stairs in order to shower and change for the day.
After some breakfast she headed outside. Thinking that maybe she would sit under one of the trees and get some shade she leaned her against it and closed her eyes trying to calm herself and relax for a change. Her rest and relaxation was short, next thing she heard there was a scream and what sounded like a splash. Oh boy someone went and fell in the lake. Julia opened her eyes and watched the scene from the distance. A girl in the lake a crowd watching, and another girl who high tailed and ran. That was a total crappy thing to do. Julia thinking everyone were jerks for not helping got up and went to do just that. Before she did it though she gave the gathering crowd a piece of her mind. If he mother had heard the curse words that just came out of her mouth she would surely have had it washed out with soap.
After she was done she dove in and swam toward the girl "Hey you OK?" she asked grabbing her arm and doing her best to paddle with her feet and one hand until the reached the edge of the lake where they could both climb out.

“Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bakey!”
Adelaine poked Prue’s cheek, grinning as the girl groaned and smacked her with a pillow. It was Saturday morning—no homework, no classes—so why was she trying to wake her twin up? To have payback of course! Prue had kept Addy up all night last night going on and on about something that happened in one of her classes. And then when Addy tried to go to sleep like a normal person, her twin had the nerve to push her off the bed! Humph, how rude. What kind of relationship did these twins share anyway?
After she was sure that her twin had absolutely no hope of getting back to sleep, Adelaine quickly threw on some jeans and a t-shirt. She glanced at herself in the mirror, and pronouncing her hair impossible, pulled it back into a ponytail. Some loose hair fell in front of her face, but she was far too lazy to actually fix it. “See ya later Pruella!” She called in a half-whisper, not wanting to wake either Brett or Arabelle. They didn’t keep her up all night like some people.
Making a quick stop to the Great Hall, Addy snagged some toast and bacon from the nearest Gryffindor’s plate. The unfortunate fellow, a first year, turned around to shout at her, but found Addy was already skipping over to the Ravenclaw table to go trash talk the Quidditch team. There was a match coming up after all, and Gryffindor was sure to win with the dynamic duo on the squad. Plus that all so delicious Harrison fellow. She’d tap that.
Staying in the Great Hall was much too noisy—even for a boisterous girl such as herself—so she decided to make a little venture outside. It was actually warm, and not raining, which was a godsend in a month like April. Grinning, Adelaine pushed her way out of the doors and hopped outside. Her rather dramatic—and random—leap out the doors caught a few wary glances from the students sitting outside, but none of them commented. Honestly, everyone should be used to Addy’s crazy antics by now. The Gryffindors certainly were.
As she walked down the lawns—it was more of a skip—she noticed Arabelle walk by. Adelaine sent a quick smile the girl’s way, and waved in her usual way—a sort’ve jerky motion, where the only thing she moved was her wrist. The grin on Arabelle’s face made Addy a bit curious though. She knew that look. The kid-caught-with-his-hand-stuck-in-the-cookie-jar look. Oh dear, what had that girl done now? Spinning around on her heel, Addy just heard the faint sounds of a splash when she saw Brett’s head floating above the water.
Oh dear.
Alarmed, Adelaine raced over to where the girl was, only to notice that another girl had also jumped into the lake to save her. Drawing out her wand as quickly as she could, Adelaine pointed at the two girls. “Er…Accio Brettleigh and…er…girl holding Brettleigh!” She didn’t exactly expect it to work, but at least she tried…right?

"Ara i'm gonna-" but Brettleigh wasn't able to finish her sentence. Gurgling erupted at the ends of a few,"-kill you when my hands reach your thr-" it just went on and on, sentences were being chopped up until Brett just gave up. Normally she wouldn't, but she was well aware that Arabelle was in no hearing range and she was just yelling that for her own convincing. Once Brett was tired of tasting lake water she shut her mouth and just gave it. Her head bobbed up and down like a bobber, but sadly she wasn't catching any fish. Soaked from head to toe, she could feel the tears burning her freakishly pale face as they slid down her cheeks. They just kept coming and coming and there was no stopping. I am Gryffindor, I am brave, I will kill her, I can do this.... PUSH... c'mon Brett pull yourself together!, but it was no use.
Brettleigh just floated under the sunlight as if she couldn't be happier. This was the most humilation possible and the worst thing was her best friend had made it all happened without the slightest regret. Maybe she needed to do a little reevaluation on that girl. Her pranks had never seemed to bother Brettleigh, but now that she'd thought about, Ara had never dared pull on on her, but here she was soaked all because of Arabelle.
Managing to force one arm up out of the water to shade her eyes, Brettleigh was horrified when she saw the crowd that had appeared. No Gryffindors could be seen except for a few first and second years who were worthless anyways, but older and younger Huffie's and Ravenclaws alike were standing there laughing at her, what type of people were they anyway. Brettleigh sunk under the water to wash away her fears and decided to put on a face of humility. She struggled to reach the bottom of the lake and pushed up from the ground with all her might, but she didn't make it very far and only brushed against the top of the water.
Feeling as all hope was lost, Brett heard a new voice join the crowd, but it was not joining, but yelling and cursing like no other at the people who had formed. Brettleigh watched as the crowd slowly died down until only a few stupid souls were still watching the show. Then suddenly the girl jumped in to the side of her and grabbed her under the arms and tried to pull her up. Compared to all the accomplishment that Brett had made by herself she thought this was a pretty good job. She got a good look at the girl's face and sure enough it was Julia. She had been so different lately, but at the current moment Brettleigh was loving the new her.
Then seeing as they were getting nowhere she heard her beloved roomates yell above all the rest. “Er…Accio Brettleigh and…er…girl holding Brettleigh!” Wow! What great friends I have! But the spell didn't have any effect. Maybe it was just the way that it was said with a few 'ers' in the middle. But it was the thought that counted right.

Julianna had hold of Brett and managed to drag her out of the water even Adelaine had come and tried to help using magic, thought Accio didn't seem to work to well for their current situation. No matter Julia had done the job, laying Brett down Julia lay down too trying to catch her own breath. Water was always rough it restricted movement so you had to use a lot more force and exertion.
Julia was trying to catch her breath. Dragging herself and someone else to shore was a lot harder than it looked. It could have been easy though if some of the others who were standing there had thought to come and help. Instead they all stood there watching laughing, and pointing at them. This just made Julia enraged. Trying to make sure Brett was OK Julia stood up to her full height soaking wet looking at all of them.
"She could have drowned you know and all the lot of you did was stand there staring. I suppose you all thought it was just a joke, or that it was just too funny. You can't all be so pathetic. GET OUT OF HERE ALL OF YOU" she yelled at them brandishing her wand at the nearest Ravenclaw who gave her a stunned look but after seeing the glint in Julia's eyes took off. The others figuring that they had gone too far as well took off after her.
Turning back to the two Gryffindors she continued her tirade "People are simply barking mad. How can anyone be so callous, I mean I saw you friend run up the path Brett, please tell me she didn't leave you there like that?" Julia would surely hunt her down later for that.
"I've never seen such crappy behavior and I'm even more disgusted that it was some of our own. Gryffindor pride indeed. you could have been killed I wonder how funny they would have found it then." Why she was so mad she had no idea but lately everything seemed to irk her.
