If you had a birds eyes view of the bank of the lake next to Hogwarts Castle you would see a small dot that might be a person. It is a person. Her name is Sarie Thimble but she wouldn't even notice if you flew over her head. She wasn't it a good mood and most likely nothing was going to change that.
The world she had know was changing which she didn't like. She was sitting waist deep in the snow. She was soaked with ice cold water. She didn't feel the bitter bite of the wind and she didn't notice that her tears where frozen to her cheeks.
Sarie's year had started out good, she had won her first match and wanted to play again but that wasn't till the snow melted. The reason she was out there in the snow was what had happened the other day. She had been threatened by Ministry Official. Not that she had cared that wasn't what bothered her.
In her first year they wouldn't have gone near her or any student for that matter. She wished she could just stayed a first year instead of looking like one. Her second year was a little better than this one. They tired to take the paintings down and she was gotten in the way of that. Now that cow was walking around thinking she owns the place. She had issues with that. It wasn't that she had yelled at her, she could careless what that cow did to her but the first years have an enough on their plate with out her helping. Some are still getting lost and it was almost have way though the year. She wished there was some one she could talk to.
Ian, Ashton and Maxi are all gone. She went to them if she had an issue but who did she turn to now. She didn't know that many people. There was Professor Potter, or Vaid. She really could go see Hikaru if she really needed to. It's she didn't want teachers mixed up in it all. She sighed and her breath rose in the air but she didn't seem to notice it was getting colder.

Dean often wondered if he walked around with a HUGE target on his back, one of those practical jokes that Slytherin’s thought would be absolutely hysterical and in the end Gryffindor’s and Ravenclaw’s end up joining in. When it snowed it was at its worst, everyone had a weapon at their disposal to throw at him so it was no surprise for the poor Hufflepuff when another cold, wet snowball hit him square in the back of the head. Had he been anyone else then no doubt he would have turned around an in a shower of expletives thrown snowballs back, Dean was a very passive person by nature and so he just carried on walking across the castle grounds trying to act as if nothing had happened.
He did not even know why he was outside today, he could be sitting in the warmth of the Hufflepuff commonroom reading a book by the roaring fire, or in the library surrounded by books that made him forget himself and the world around him. But alas here he was trudging through the snow towards the lake, the lake of all places, why was he doing this?
With a slight groan he stopped where he was, glanced over his shoulder back towards the castle and the out towards the frozen waters of the lake. He was about to consider defeat and turn back when he noticed someone just sitting on the snow by themselves and they did not seem to be moving. Hesitantly the Hufflepuff wondered towards the person, his good nature taking over and concern for the poor girl. She looked frozen, in fact at first he feared she was and as he pulled his gloved hand out from his coat pocket he placed it on the girls shoulder as if to shake her awake, although he made no movement to do so.
“A-are you ok?” Clearly she was not due to the frozen tears that littered her cheek but Dean just simply could not do the whole ‘talking to girls’ thing, even if they were younger then him!

Sarie looked up to see a Hufflepuff. He looked rather worried about her. "Yeah I'm fine." She said rubbing her eyes. She was surprised to see tears there. She hadn't noticed that she that see had been. He looked to be a fifth or sixth year she couldn't quite tell. "What time is it." She was unsure how long she had been out there. "I'm Sarie Thimble."

There was something very wrong with Angelique Juliette and those who knew her well would say so right away. The once cunning and sly Slytherin girl had turned over a new leaf but the change was not welcomed. Suddenly she was being nice the things that used to give her great pleasure like taunting first years until they cried no longer appealed to her. Her hatred of the school vanished, and suddenly she didn't mind talking to others from different houses. Overnight Angel had become dare she think it nice just the mere word had her trembling in disgust. How could this have happened?
Just this morning she spotted a small Hufflepuff all alone and unawares, the old Angel would have jumped at the opportunity to do something wicked. Her had even went to her wand (force of habit) but she did nothing simply passed the kid up for some other Slytherin to torture. No she just went on her merry little way and it was killing her she didn't like this new side of herself but she couldn't be her old self it was like some kind of magic was making her this way.
Frustrated Angel decided to take a walk maybe some fresh air or something would clear her mind get her to focus on who and what she was. Then she could stop being this girl she hated seeing in the mirror now a days. Not sure where she was going Angel just kept walking around letting her feet take her where they wanted to go. The walked these grounds well enough to know every inch. She allowed her mind to wander so it took ages for her to notice she was near the lake and even longer to notice she wasn't alone.
Her blurry eyes suddenly came back into focus she shook her blond hair a little just to get the picture a little clearer and that's when she noticed the two of them. A Hufflepuff boy and that Sarie Thimble girl. How Angel did so love to annoy the little one. She smirked but it only lasted a second because it was suddenly replaced by a real life smile. Then she topped herself by saying "Hello" in a cheerful voice that sounded just like her own. Oh boy something was so very wrong with her...

Sarie looked up to see, Angelique Juliette which was a shock. The last time they had met they hadn't really got along. "Hey." She muttered. Sarie was starting to notice that she was the second student that had come over a talk to her. She sneezed it wasn't very big rather like a mouse sneezing.

Figuring she would get a nasty reaction from the girl she so enjoyed toying with Angel stood waiting for some derisive or juvenile response instead she got a hey and that made her smile. This was such an odd picture her out there being nice to people she would normally treat with loathing. At this point she even looked around to see if any of her house mates were about last thing she needed was for them to see this especially seeing her blunder one term with a Slytherin boy of questionable taste in friends.
Still completely unable to help herself she continued on being nice. "So what brings you guys out here today. i know i needed the fresh air and all somehow its nicer out here then it is in there."

Sarie shrugged which was her answer. She wasn't sure why she was out there or how long it had been. She sneezed again. "Does any one know the time." What time had she come out. Ten o'clock or was it 10:30 she couldn't remember it couldn't be past elven that was for sure. She stared at the frozen lake wishing it wasn't she loved the way the sun light reflected off of it.

Angel couldn't help but stare at the girl because for someone so smally and usually full of life the girl sitting there across her was nothing like that. Right now Sarie looked a bit pathetic. "Hey are you OK you seem really down about something and it's a decent day out here there's no need to seem so depresse. I mean this isn't the normal Sarie I'm used to seeing you're real sad looking it's kind of a downer."

Sarie was shocked Angelique being nice to her. She was tired of what the Ministry had to say about their school. "I'm just tried of people thinking there better then others because of where they work. I'm tired of bullies and how no one shoots them down." She stared out on the frozen lake. She she wouldn't have to explain.

"Yes well the thing about bullies is if people shot them down they wouldn't really be bullies now would they. They count on people backing down that's what gives them their power over others. But I do see what you mean all too often those in higher positions do think they're better, or that the know more than we do. It's all in the way you handle it. Sometimes you simply have to let things simply roll off your back you can't dwell on things. You know that school is great and you're happy here that's all that should matter not what anyone else has to say about it."
Now she simply didn't feel like herself she'd just given advice like some weak muggle from an after school special. Angel didn't do that normally, hell Angel would have probably had Sarie in the lake by now this was just too much for her. She had to sit down. The rumors about odd things going on about the school seemed more true now then ever. Something was up with her and the longer it went on the more it made her wish she was out of here.

"Well the bullies better watch out because I'm coming for them!" She jumped up and bits of snow fell off her cloak. She shivered. "How cold is it out here?" She rubbed her arms. "Achoo" She sneezed.

Angelique sneered at who was acting like little miss toughy now. Sarie had changed, gone was that innocent little brat she used to sit back with her friends and torture. Now in her place was this spunky little thing, that was prepared to fight back. Angel didn't know how smart it was, simply because she was small and she didn't know how cruel the world and some of her classmates could really be. Eventually, she would find out through a hard lesson.
As the little one rose Angel kept watchful eyes on her. Something seemed to be wrong she seemed to be feeling the chill that was outside. "I'm not really sure what the temperature is but you're right it is dead cold out, who knows maybe you should go back inside before you truly catch a cold or something." Right then she sneezed. "Yeah sounds like the weather is too much for you so maybe you should head in. No used making yourself sick.

(by the way love the sig)
Sarie took out her handkerchief and wiped her nose. "Yeah I should. Achoo!" She sniffed when wiped her nose again. She placed it back in her pocket. "Thanks, I mean that." She held out her hand. "Friends?" She hoped that Angelique would take it. She waited and hope that things would get better.

(Oh, why thank you very much)
Sarie held out her hand to Angel. Most of the time she wouldn't have taken it or she would have slapped it away wondering why she thought it would be appropriate to even think of touching her. But something again she could not control had her shaking hands with the young girl. "Not a problem, just take care of yourself don't want to catch a cold now."

"Yeah I'm going in." She sniffed and turned toward the castle. She fought though the snow she sneezed every few steps. She was going to head to the common room to go get warm by the fire. She walked up the front steps and vanished though the front door.
