Dreary day.. Darkening clouds and a hushness in the air; seemed the calm before the storm, Jade found, as the breeze toyed with her hair. She was standing motionless by the lake, her eyes staring out across the water as she waited for inspiration to hit her like a cement truck. How was she to concentrate when they were watching her? Everyone was so panicked.. So afraid. Wide eyes, wide, tearful eyes.. They were everywhere. Staring at her. Laughing, at her. She had come out here to get a breath of fresh air away from the wet noses and raw skin, but found herself itching to fool around with spells. There was probably a rule about it somewhere, spouting nonsense about how it was dangerous and should only be performed by a seasoned Unspeakable, but what was life without a little risk? Anything to get rid of the eyes. Wrapping her sweater tighter around herself and glancing over her shoulder at one of the many faces around her Jade drew her wand out, staring down at it for what seemed like an eternity before pocketing it again. No.. Not this time. She thought, not realising that she had actually whispered it aloud.
There had been times she'd taken inconveniant trips to the hospital wing after trying to produce flowers from her hands without the use of a wand. Wandless magic, it was called, such a unique name for the subject. Jade was confident now that she could control this, and if not she'd just have to walk around with flowers for fingers during the next week or two. "Orchideus." The Slytherin murmured, her voice matching the calm expression on her face as she stared in awe at the facets in her pretty skin. After a moment of concentration a smattering of petals shot from her hands, fluttering through the air like withered butterflies as they plummeted to the ground. A small, satisfied smile touched her lips, but it wasn't good enough. She arrived there at morning and by the afternoon she was able to produce a bunch of stemless flowers, by then she was surrounded by petal and flowers, covering the ground like a quilt. The colour was too much for her, and her forehead crinkled ever so slightly.
As the flowers were thrown into the air from the wind, the Slytherin found the opportunity she needed. Incendio. Jade thought angrily, though you wouldn't have thought she felt that way inside. Her face was still expressionless, though there was a hint of an eerie smile.. As around her, beauty burned.

Jason saw this day coming, literally. The visions in his dreams had been becoming much more prevalent as of late. Tales of dread and dark arts threading throughout the woven history of ancient Hogwarts were being whispered in his dreams. It wasn't bad, in fact, quite good! The school needed more excitement and power, he thought. But the vision of last night held something different. An old friend. It had been over eight years since he said the word 'friend' and held anyone of such high status, but that was all going to change soon.
With his head in the clouds, the Slytherin walked out to the lawns to watch the storm. Dreary, dead clouds of grey spanned the sky, covering them like a blanket over a cadaver. A few other students were out and about on such a day, but quickly scuttled off once seeing the older boy approaching. An icy gaze was quickly cast over the grounds in search of what his vision help.
There she is. He thought with a faint smile. Approaching from behind the girl quietly, Jason grasped a burning flower in his palm before extinguishing it with a clenched fist. "You're liable to burn yourself or catch on fire if you keep that up."
His words were soft as he sat beside her, holding a clenched fist out infront of him. Waiting for a light breeze, the boy released his grasp and allowed the ashes from the flower to float away in the whips of the wind. "It's been a while, Jade. How are things?" Jason asked while looking to the girl in hopes recognition.

"You're liable to burn yourself or catch on fire if you keep that up." Said someone from behind, but she didn't move to see who it was just yet. His voice tugged at her memory, but it was too deep and matured for him to be someone she used to know. Why hadn't the eyes told her someone was coming? His remark and her upcoming responce caused an innocent little smile to grace her calm expression. "Ah, but then you'd kiss it better." She felt him sit beside her and it wasn't long before she too sunk to the ground. How does he know my name? Jade was then thoughtful as to the identity of this boy, and her thin fingers reached out to carefully grasp his chin and turn his entire face towards her. Narrowing her eyes for a moment they then widened slightly once she realised it was Jason, and she released him. "Jason." She seemed to purr, sliding her arms around him to give him a brief but friendly hug. "I didn't know you went to school here." The Slytherin murmured, trying to connect the face with anyone shes seen here so far, with no dice. His question stirred something within her and she paused, the silence spanning for a minute and a half before she dared speak. "Lilith is dead." Jade's face remained blank of any grief, but her voice sounded hollow enough to reflect what she was feeling. Though he of all people would know she'd rather not talk about it at the moment. No, she had just been reunited with her childhood friend, and that was cause for celebration and beer! "How about you, love?" Jade had been at Hogwarts long enough to have heard about some crazy stalker chick who had been hunting some guy down everywhere, and that wasn't nice. Made her frown. To know that it had been him made her frown even more.
He had changed so much, he was all big and strong now from the lanky--at least in her mind, he had been pretty strong back then too--boy she remembered. A year older than her and he'd always the time to play little games reserved mostly for girls, like dolls, so long as she promised to race him on their little Quidditch brooms. She'd told him everything, before her mom decided she was getting too attatched to him and moved the family to that coven.. Now that she remembered the reason for their moving did an anger well up inside of her. Oh, she'd be moving away from them sooner or later, quicker now that she remembered this.

Jason returned his friends hug lightly. A small smile tugged at his lips while he nodded. She hadn't remembered him at first, but eventually she caught on, which lead to the hug. Not that he minded, it had been quite a while since he came into contact with anyone, and a friendly hug was welcoming. "Yeah.. it's me," he said in a slightly solemn, yet happy tone, "Durmstrang transferred me here when I was in my sixth year since they didn't have any more classes for me to take."
"Lilith is dead."
A moment of silence fell between the two as did the heavy feeling of sorrow. Jason leaned over and gave her a light pat on the shoulder and offered her a smile. "I'm sorry to hear that, Jade. Let's not dwell on it, aye?" He said in hopes of lifting the seriousness.
Jason then laid down o his back, putting his hands behind his head in support. What a lazy boy. "Not much has been going on in this school.. but problems with some girls and this one queer are quite vexing, if you know what I mean. Other than that.. nah. I graduate this year, though." He replied, sending her a side-long gaze while he spoke.
"What about you?" While waiting for her reply, Jason took this time to look her over. She had grown, that much was evident. Taller, filled out and actually.. more womanly. That was to be expected, though. He could remember the time where they raced on brooms and played with dolls, much to his embarrassment now at remembering it. Come to think of it, he too had come a long way from being a scrawny punk. Not that she was, of course.
"I hope no boy is pursuing you and giving you a hassle." Jason added in quickly before turning his head. No matter how long he was separated from her, he would always be protective over her, like a big brother might be.

" ... I graduate this year though." A small, childlike frown creased her puckered lips. "That means I only have one year with you before you go off and become.. An auror? A hit wizard?" Just figured like amongst those two would be something he'd like to become, and achieve in life. Seems she still knew him after all these years, at least more than she thought she did. Jade felt a little smile touch her face as she recalled this, nodding her head along as she listened. Parting her lips when he asked the first question he then added something in, and she paused mid-breath to let him finish with the asking before she spoke her answer. "No boy trouble as of yet." Her face was calm, thoughtful even, as she gave him a wink. "I have found this school is very strange.. Violent." Jade's voice was still thoughtful, as if her mind wasn't really there, even though her body was. As her eyes lifted to meet his they seemed to focus again, and a sneaky grin appeared. "I like it." God, she was wierd at times. Toying with the cream lace on her dress before stretching her arms out like a cat--she was often feline-like in actions, for some reason--the Slytherin was suddenly rocked forward, and she did a rough somersault before hitting her head on.. A rock. One that was wet, and half-submerged in lake water. Narrowing her eyes but otherwise not reacting, she stared down at herself, looking accusingly at him. "Why did you do that for?"
But as he opened his mouth to answer the same thing pushed him too, and as she peered at the spot where the thing came from, she realised it was a bird. "Killer goose!" Jade laughed, not even caring that she was partly soaked as she rested her hands on her knees, bending over to compensate for the weight of her laughter. It didn't seem evil, as in the wierd magic flinging around the castle, but you never knew. Geese could be quite the nasty little buggers if you decided to poke your nose in their "territory". Wierdos. The laughter didn't seem to impress the bird, and it flapped its large wings angrily, jabbing its beak at Jason. Trying to compose her face with some difficulty, Jade threw a pebble at its forehead, though that wasn't the smartest decision, and it launched at her in a flurry of pissed off goose and feathers. "Woah!" She barely exclaimed as she disappeared under a mass of white and grey feathers, but loud laughter could be heard from within the ruckus. She was being attacked by a goose. A goose. If it didn't mangle her then the laughter'd surely mush up her lungs, at least.
