It was a hot and very humid day. The sun was streaming down wonderful bright rays of ligtht and uneeded warmth. Arabelle was out on the Quidditch Pitch, with her Nimbus 2000 working on some skills. She was the quiet type and perfered to practice alone. Ara didn't have many dreams, but one that she was very passionate about was that she would make the Gryffindor Quidditch team before she graduated. So far that haddent happened. But Arabelle never gave up, she was always out there in her spare time.
She focused on the green grassy feild below her and shot towards it. Arabelle landed perfectly. She celebrated in her mind and was on her way out with her broom clutched in one hand and the other hangly limply next to her. Well she was leaving before some bullies came up into her way. "Excuse me i'd like to pass..." Ara said nicely as she pushed her way through them. As she walked she heard them yelling and teasing things about how she was nerdy and should be in Slytherin cause she could talk to snakes. She tried to ignore them, but sometmes they just get to you.
Arabelle took off in a sprint for the castle. Her broom was still in her hand. She reached her dorm off of the Gryffindo Common room and tears were streaming down her face. It wasn't fair. Why were people so rude? These were the questions Ara asked herself that she could not answer. She dried her tears, washed the sweat off her face, and set her broom down by her bed. She pulled her hair into a ponytail as she left the Gryffindor Common Room.
All she wanted to do was escape the bullies. Where would they not go? Ara knew for a fact they didn't like being by the water, so the lake it was today. She took off running for the lake. A book in her hand when she arrived at the glistening water. Taking a seat against a big old beech tree she waited for the bullies to find her or someone to rescue her from her misery.

It had been a rather unproductive day for Lucas. He felt he didn’t have enough energy to do much but laze around on this hot day but everywhere he tried to relax, he got uncomfortable and the sweat rolled down his back. As a girl came into the common room, Lucas looked up at her as she crossed him to get to the dorm rooms. Shrugging it off, he continued to stare into nothingness as he lay on the sofa, his shirt soaked with perspiration. Wiping his brow, he hauled himself up to sit on the Gryffindor sofa properly as the girl came storming down not a minute later and out of the portrait once again. Lucas just simply watched as the girl crossed the lengthy room and pushed herself out of the portrait. Sighing, he took his time hauling himself off the sofa before giving a big yawn and a stretch, and grabbing his nearby magazine, the quibbler.
Holding it loosely in his hand, he swung it as he walked out of the portrait and down the hundreds of steps before quickly making a jig for the main hall to grab a snack before making his way back to his planned route, the lake. As he walked out, there was no wind, making the heat more stifling than before. As people were spread about seemingly melting where they sat, he made his way to the lawns and over to the lake, a familiarity he had been continuing over the past few days. The day before he had an incident with a crab in the water when he was with Ellie, but it seems he still wasn’t going to learn from his mistakes as he rolled up his jeans to his knees yet again and dipped his legs into the cooling water. Looking over, he realised he had sat near a blonde girl.
“Hey....don’t get too close. A crab munched on my toe yesterday” he smirked as he opened up his Quibbler.

Arabelle goggled over the beautiful site of the rippling lake. It was black, but sparkling in the sunlight. She scooted up against the bark of the tree, pulled her knees up, and placed the book on the history of Parselmouths square in the center. She began to read the book line after line, page after page, but it was just too hot!
Her concentration was broke whenever sweat began to drip drop down her face. It was very annoying, but then there was another noise. Not a familiar one. Ara looked up and there was a boy with rolled up jeans, whose feet he stuck in the water, and was reading the Quibbler. Arabelle had never ever read a Quibbler, she was too scared it would mess with her mind. Ara closed her book, set it to the side of her, and began to lean to see if the boy was reading it upside down like Luna Lovegood claimed to.
She leaned one bit to far and fell over. Arabelle heard something rip against the tree bark, but was scared to see what. Aparently the boy had heard her. He turned around, but payed no attention to her accident. He just warned her to watch for crabs. Ara smiled. "Thanks I probably needed that reminder." She laughed,"Why are you talking to me?" Ara asked. Most people didn't so she didn't exactly know what to say.
