[Courtyard] Just stretching my legs (Mina)

[Kiyoshi Kyoto]

"Man, i need to get out of this room, its really depressing me laterly" said Kiyoshi to himself while sitting down at his desk doodling out of boredom. Then a thought entered his head; "enough of this, im going to go walk round the court yard and hopefully i'll bump into that mina girl!" Kiyoshi fancied Mina since he was in year 7 but never had the guts to say or do owt about it. He got up, put his coat on as it was freezing outside and walked to his door. "maybe she will talk to me, so i dont have too start anything?!" "wishful thinking KK, like a girl would do that!" he then left his room laughing at himself, while others looked puzzled as he did so.

- The Courtyard -

As he expected, no one was there. "ah well at least i'll get some fresh air" He sat down on a bench, and looked around "were is everyone? i could do anything i wanted and no one would know!" "But i wont as im cool like that!" he said mumbling to himself. "ah well i think i'll stay here alittle bit longer and see if anyone turns up" as he put out a big sigh.

[Mina Ping]

Scribbling away in a dank corridor was not Mina's best ideals to spend a day, however here she was, crumpled up in a solitary corner surrounded by dozens of scraps of paper, all with errors on. Sighing, she dotted the page with more force than she had planned, causing a small tear in the parchment. Rolling her eyes, she balled it up and threw it in the evergrowing pile of paper by her feet.

Potions. A brilliant class, although she was better at practical than she was theory, like a lot of classes. She seemed to be able to do things with ease, but writing about them? Now that was a problem. Flicking through a few pages in search for an answer to a missing ingredient, she suddenly felt overwhelmed by the heat in corridor and slammed her book shut. Pulling herself up, her long black skirt dragged slightly behind her as she cradled her book in her arms, her quill still held firmly between her fingers.

She walked until she could see daylight, and soon followed it outdoors, finding herself at the steps to the courtyard. The sun felt warm on her skin, and even in the daylight she still kept her pale features. Hugging her book tighter slightly, she overlooked the courtyard to see a few people sitting on the benches, and a couple of younger students playing wizards chess in the corner. Seeing a boy by himself on the bench, she wandered over and sat down by him. Looking down at her book for a moment before glancing at him then back to the game of wizards chess.
"I'm not too good at that, but exploding snap i'm a master" she smirked slightly, looking at the boy.

[Kiyoshi Kyoto]

Kiyoshi looked to his right, wondering who said that. It was Mina! his face lit up like a childs waking up knowing its there birthday, but then blushed and faced forward again. "oh really" he replied acting cool and calm while trying to wipe the sweat from his nervious brow.

"well im not showing off but im kinda the exploding snap master myself!" he said while making a big hand gesture. *ah way to go KK, your absolutely rubbish at snap and you know it!, why did you get yourself into this mess! Quickly change the subject!* he thought to himself, while shaking his head in pity. "erm so.. what brings you out here?" "bored as me huh?"

[Mina Ping]

Mina caught the smile that light up Kiyoshi's pale face. She in return smiled warmly back. A Slytherin and a Ravenclaw having polite conversation? Who'd of thought it. Mina was different however, she merely disliked people who were not worth knowing, the ones who were open books and liked to tell the world everything about themself, leaving no mysteriousness for the imagination to overwork itself.

Kiyoshi was not one of them.

Placing her book on her lap she overlapped it with her hands placing them calmly in the centre as she observed the game of wizard's chess for a moment in silence. Turning slightly to look back at him, redness slightly visible in his cheeks, she looked into his eyes and smiled.
"Boredom isn't even the word for what i'm feeling....I'm beyond that, if that's even possible. Do you have any ideas how we can stop that?"

Kiyoshi stared back into Mina's eyes, then glanced at her book. He couldnt make out the title as it was covered by her hands, "what you reading there? catching up on poitions?" he said with a faint smile. He then glanced back up towards her face. He couldnt take his eyes off her, to him her face was perfection.

Just realising that he totally, blanked her question he responded as fast as he could, "Erm, i was just about to walk around the lake side, want to come with?" he said with a nervious tone in his voice. Kiyoshi felt something strange, he normally didnt get on with people, but when being with mina he didnt feel like that.

He stood up quickly, and shook his head while thinking. "whats with me? like she would" but mina grabbed his arm as he stood up in away trying to say where are you going? "come on Kiyoshi, ask her again" he thought. "so you coming or not?" he said as he starting to move off.

[Mina Ping]

Mina's lips curved upwards slightly. 'Everyone with a friendly face seems to hide some secret inside' she thought to herself. Although usually when he thought this, a bad eroding feeling passed through her stomach, but when looking at Kiyoshi, any signs of that bottomless pit feeling were not present and she infact thought that maybe he was hiding secrets, but he was not a bad person. Pretty strange coming from a slytherin.

Looking down at her book as he spoke about it, she simply nodded slightly unsure why she still had it with her. She was metres away from the common room before she came here, so why didn't she just drop it off? Still, there was a reason for everything, and she knew she must need it for something, even if it was a divider between her and someone else.

Being asked for a walk, she soon jumped up and grabbed his sleeve.
"Ready when you are" she grinned, letting him go and walking in front.
