(( I love this song <3 ))
It was hard to sit and watch as your friends slowly drifted apart, and you knew that there was almost nothing you could do. It was harder when you didn’t even know the cause of it. So here Fay was, watching as Ellie and Bray began to ignore each other, and she had no idea why. Nobody would give her a hint, throw her a line, anything. Didn’t they know how she was? She would freak out over this just as much as they were, if not more. That was her nature, and one can’t change nature.
Felicity walked outside, with her hands shoved in her pockets, and barely flinched against the heat. The sun beat down on Hogwarts, unyielding in its wrath. Maybe it fit the mood, in some melodramatic way. Because that’s what this school needed, more drama. Her whole life here was drama, from start to end. She honestly didn’t know what she expected after a particular party member left the school, maybe she thought that she would be happier. Maybe life would be easier.
It was, to an extent. After that, something happened between Ellie and Bray, and suddenly their relationship of crumbling. What the hell? The two were so good together! They used to laugh and make stupid jokes and be all cute and coupley together. The scene always brought a smile to the young veela’s face. But now, it was all moody and avoidance, which just really ticked her off. Couldn’t they just resolve it? No, because Bray was stubborn and Ellie was the same.
Fay flopped onto one of the courtyard benches with a sigh. She ran her hand quickly through her hair, shaking it as she went. Talking to Bray was useless. All he would do was grumble and walk away, telling her to butt out. What was his problem? She was only trying to help. He had been in a sour mood ever since he and Ellie got into some sort of fight. She clenched her jaw and groaned in annoyance.
“They couldn’t just resolve their problems like civilized people. Noo, they both have to brood over it and leave me out of it. Fine, fine, whatever.” With a humph, she crossed her arms and puffed out her cheeks, clearly in annoyance.
(blah)

Feeling Hot Hot Hot...
Ugh. Ellie was sure she couldn't be any hotter. Well, no, she had been this hot once, but she had been living in El Azizia in Libya. Ugh, that was hot. But Ellie was just not used to it being this hot at Hogwarts. Hogwarts didn't even expect it to be this scorching, considering the horrible black bags they had to wear.
Ellie had given up on her bag already and changed into shorts and a t-shirt. Much more comfortable, she went out to take a walk. Ellie had to take stealthy walks now a days. She couldn't plan when Bray and Fay would go. Ellie's eyes were always peeled, looking out for the two claws.
She felt bad ignoring Fay, seeing as she was in the dark and had no idea what was going on, but she didn't feel that bad about ignoring Bray. He had ignored her in a time of need. She couldn't trust him. it was horrible.
It didn't mean she didn't miss him though.
Ellie walked down toward the courtyard, it must be somewhat shady, a nice place to just sit and think. But as Ellie rounded the corner, she spotted the beautiful veela face she knew all to well. Ellie froze and scooted behind a column. Fay hadn't seen her. Ellie watched as the Claw sat on the bench Bray and Ellie usually met. Ellie heard her groan and mutter something.
Ellie's heart dropped to the floor. Bray obviously had been thinking the same thing as she was, don't get Fay involved. The plan wasn't working, it was only making Fay think that she had done something wrong. Ellie sighed and slowly came out of her hiding spot and walked up next to Fay. With a deep breath she spoke to her best friend for the first time in weeks.
"Not talking about me are you?" Ellie said, starring at the ground, shifting her weight from leg to leg every few seconds.

More grumbles, more mumbles, and more curses. It would be easier to decide what to do if she actually knew what the problem was. But, without that vital piece of information, it was just another fight to her. A couple fight. She shuddered at the thought. Her ‘relationship’ hadn’t worked out that well, so she just chose to avoid them. It was easier to just stay friends with people.
Then Harri had to go and kiss her to save his own arse and make all those rumors sprout. Saved her? Ha! She was getting glared at in the halls and most Gryffindor girls refused to talk to her. Shunned, again, oh joy. Men were a load of unneeded trouble. Yet, in the very back of her mind, she knew she would regret not knowing any of her male friends. They all helped her at one time for another, and she still liked to be around them. They just made things more…complicated.
A voice dragged her out of her musing, and she glanced up, eyes slightly wide. Ellie? The girl refused to look at her, just staring down at her feet like she was wishing the ground would open up and swallow her. It took Fay a moment to register that Ellie was actually standing there. Once she did, she jumped to her feet and dragged the Puff girl into a hug. “Don’t worry about my ranting silly girl, just blowing off some steam.” She released her then flopped back down on the bench, patting the space next to her.
“Sit down, it feels weird talking to you while you’re standing.” If Ellie hadn’t been looking so…miserable, Fay probably would’ve forced her onto the bench and sat on the girl until she told her the problem. Wait, no, she wouldn’t do that to Ellie. Only to Bray, because he was usually an arse about his explanations anyway. It was like some weird type of pun that way. The thought made a smile come to her lips for a moment, before she turned back to Ellie.
“I haven’t talked to you in near forever. You been alright?” Her voice changed from the happy, giddy, oh-my-merlin-you’re-here tone to one that actually sounded like she was worried about her friend.

It took a moment for Ellie to register that she was standing there. She kept her eyes on the cobblestone floor, waiting to either a) hear Fay get up sand walk away, or b) hear Fay get up and start yelling at her about how she was a horrible friend etc. Ellie knew she deserved both. If she was Fay, she would have gotten up and shouted at herself as she stormed away.
However, Fay was obviously a better person than Elie. Ellie was dead surprised when she felt Fay's arms wrapped around her in there death grip. Ellie was snug in a gut wrenching Fay hug, the ones she had gotten so used to and missed oh so much! Ellie cracked a smile in her best friends hug. As they parted, Ellie brought herself to look a Fay. The face was so familiar, so comforting. Ellie stood there, not sure of what to do next.
Fay patted the bench and Ellie grinned. "Sorry." Ellie said, a she sat down on the concrete. It wasn't that she was just saying sorry for standing, but she was saying sorry for everything. Ignoring Fay, not telling her what was wrong, and for Bray's attitude too, considering it was all her fault. Ellie was sure that Fay understood all this and just smiled, her eye lighting up with the happiness of having her best friend back.
"I'm..." Ellie couldn't think of a word to describe how she was, so she opted the easy way out. "...fine." Her eyes shifted to the ground again. She shuffled her feet together. "Hows..." she sighed. "Hows Bray?"

Ellie seemed surprised that Fay had hugged her, but Felicity wasn’t phased. Sure, she could’ve yelled at her or even walked off, but what would that have done? Created more unnecessary problems for her and Ellie. The tension between the two seemed to slacken as Fay released her from the bone-crunching hug. The girl needed to know her own strength before she ended up crushing Ellie.
“Fine? By fine do you mean freaked out, insecure, neurotic and emotional?” She arched one eyebrow, then cracked a grin. “Kidding Ellie. Just trying to lighten the mood you know.” Fay shrugged lightly and leaned back against the bench. She placed one hand next to her and leaned on that arm, shifting her body so she could face Ellie. The girl was looking at her feet again, refusing to look at Fay’s face. Probably trying to hide whatever emotion bubbled just beneath the surface.
Bray, of course, now there’s a touchy subject for ya. Felicity chewed on her lower lip, thinking of how to respond. “[color274968]He’s been… ” Gah, what was the right word for it? Moody, emotional? No, that made him sound like he was PMSing or something. “ Mopey.” That pretty much summed up his behavior lately. He was mopey. Ellie’s mood seemed, well, down lately. Of course it was, but still, it made Fay feel bad. So, she puffed out her lips in an over exaggerated pout and crossed her arms across her chest. “ Fine, I see how it is. Ask about Bray before me. Whatever Ellie, just rip my heart out.” She took on a childish voice too, to show the Puff girl that she was kidding. If the crazy expression and Fay-like attitude didn’t tip her off first.[/blockquote]

"Well, yes, actually." Ellie said with a smirk. Sure, Fay had been kidding, but she had basically hit the nail on the head. Ellie was freaked out that she was so mad at Bray, insecure that they would never make up again, worried that her life was falling apart, and incredible emotional about...everything!
Mopey. Well, Ellie seemed to be cheered by this. Fay hadn't sad fumingly mad, or suicidal! Just mopey! Perhaps Bray was ready to stop being so childish and make-up. however, Ellie, the horrible relationship girl that she was, had absolutely no idea how to start making up.
"Oh, Fay!" Ellie said, placing her head on her friends shoulder. "I'm sorry I ignored you and I'm sorry Bray is ignoring you, and I'm sorry you don't have any other friends!" Ellie lifted her head to reveal a large smile. She was totally kidding, Fay had taken a shot at Ellie, and Ellie returned the favor.
Ellie sighed and placed her hands in the lap. "What do I do, oh Love Guru?"
