This was not the first time Dan had been caught cheating; many years ago he had attended the wedding of an old school friend, safe to say the marriage or the friendship for that matter did not last all that long when the groom found Dan in the honeymoon suit of the hotel with the bride. There had been many other occasions and Dan had always been the one without the connections (seeing as he had sworn never to settle down) but this time the roles were reversed, he was the one with everything to lose…with Dia to lose. To try and get out of this with some dignity and his marriage in tacked then he was going to have to be quick, clever and act his way out of this situation. But first he needed to stall for time and the plan formulated in his mind.
Turning back to look at Fay who still reminded in the doorway the Headmaster could not help but chuckle at what she had said. “That’s a good one.” He grinned truthfully as he now pushed Vicky slightly to one side so that he could see the Ravenclaw better and that she could be used as a shield. Why a shield? Well Dan had come up with his plan.
Slowly reaching into his pocket Dan carefully pulled out his wand, twisting it around carefully in his fingers and gave it a small flick. He could not turn around to see if it had worked; he had to focus so hard on keeping the grin up for Fay and fighting the raging emotions inside that in all possibility when it came to summoning the tea-set that he might have ended up with the wrong one. ’Please not the one with the laxatives’ That was the only thought now that was going through Dan’s head as he jumped off the table, reaching out and wrapping his arm around Vicky’s waist and pulling her close to him so that they stood side by side while all the while grinning at the Ravenclaw.
“Miss Locke, can we interest you in a cup of tea? Two very nice Gryffindors offered it too us and I must say it is the nicest thing I have ever tasted. Isn’t that right snookums.” Dan’s head turned to look at Vicky before moving in and kissing her on the cheek however he lingered long enough to whisper into her ear. “Just play along.” Acting like a loved up couple Dan lead Vicky to one side almost as if he was leading her onto a dance floor and his gaze passed over at the two teacups sitting on the table from where they had been sitting before and much to Dan’s relief it was the pink cups. He had summoned the cups containing love potion.

Vicky had to stop herself from shaking, this had to be the worst day of her life. Getting caught like some bad little girl here in school, by a student for pity's sake. Dan was standing there trying to act casually, it was probably the best acting job she had ever seen Dan was a man of many talents it seemed. Now wasn't the time to think of his attributes or anything else about him, no what was important was getting out of this.
Dan didn't seem to be backtracking or messing with the girls intelligence, Vicky didn't like it but then she imagined that it was best, she saw what she saw and unless they wiped her memory clean there was nothing they could do. So Vicky stood rooted to the spot scared witless her mouth hadn't moved since she whispered to him.
Dan moved her to the side, Vicky almost tripped because she hadn't been expecting it. Of course the chicken that she was she still hadn't turned to face the girl, though she was sure the girl knew it was her by now. Vicky knew that if anyone would get the worst of this it would be Dan, Dia was the most important thing to him and news of this could end that. No matter what Vicky didn't want to see him ruin everything, even if part of her secretly wished it did. Vicky on the other hand well her crush on him was very well known, as was his reputation for sleeping around, but seeing how she had an affair with a married man that wouldn't endear her to the rest of the staff even if she tried to say she was drunk.
Vicky stopped what she was thinking when Dan jumped off the table and grabbed her by the waist. Her eyes bulged at first, this had to be apart of some plan so she needed to relax and try to act normal. She was now facing the girl that she knew to be a Ravenclaw. This just kept getting better and better didn't it. Of all the houses she could have been in she was Dia's. The saying was right Karma was a *****.
Her thoughts stopped the second she heard Dan ask if their witness wanted some tea. Now she was confused wondering if Dan had really gone off the deep end like so many had suggested before. Just then he kissed her cheek but lingered just long enough to convey to her that he wanted her to play along with something. So he did have a plan, she couldn't wait to see this, Dan was good at getting into trouble let's see how good he was at getting out of it.

Love was a strange thing, wasn’t it? There were all different types, and each was confusing in its own way. For example, you wouldn’t love your mother the same way you loved a boyfriend: that was just disgusting. In the same sense, you wouldn’t love a dog the same way you loved your husband. It was complicated to think about. So why was it for this pair that lust held more of an allure than love? Apparently no where in Hubbles’ marriage vows did it say “Thou shalt not cheat on thy wife with thy co-worker.”
How could Hubbles turn and smile at her even if he had been caught red handed? The fact that he was so calm irked her, probably more than it should have. He even complimented her on the sarcasm. That was it; the Headmaster had certainly lost his marbles—if that wasn’t clear enough with the whole affair thing. But, Fay couldn’t let him know that he was ticking her off even more now could she? So, her smirk grew more pronounced as she spoke again. “You know the old saying Hubbles, wit beyond measure is a man’s greatest treasure.” Not that he would know.
Now the cheater’s hand was wrapped around Potter’s waist. Felicity’s jaw clenched, and for a moment she thought her nails would draw blood from digging into her skin so hard. Honestly, Hubbles should know not to tick off emotional women, especially emotional veelas. They could be rather…spiteful. Case and point, Fay’s eyes were zeroed in on the arm wrapped around Vicky’s waist. If she glared at it with any more vigor, it would probably burst into flames. Not a bad idea actually.
Hubbles spoke again, and Felicity rearranged her expression to look passive as she glanced over to him. Tea? Was he serious? Damn that man had some nerve. “No thanks Hubbles. I don’t think we share the same…tastes.” Her gaze flicked over to Vicky as she spoke, and she couldn’t exactly keep the ice from her voice. “And don’t lie to me Hubbles. I certainly doubt that tea is the nicest thing you’ve ever tasted.” She muttered, finally glaring at the man.
Felicity was nearly positive that if she stood there any longer she would strangle the man. It was slowly sounding like a brilliant idea. And that was her cue to leave. “As much fun as it sounds staying here and insulting you two some more, I think I better finish my rounds. I only hope I don't see students following your example.” Fay grabbed the doorknob and dragged the door close as she walked away from the room. She paused before releasing the handle. Now, don’t get the wrong idea. Felicity wasn’t just going to walk away from the whole event and forget about it. Honestly, there was a reason why she was in Ravenclaw.
This decision was more of a test for the two. How desperate was our Headmaster getting? Toying with people’s emotions was probably not the best way to spend your time, but she’d make an exception in this case. Revenge was a dish best served cold, wasn’t that the old saying?

Dan watched as silent as the grave as Fay walked out the door, a wide grin was still plastered on his face and he just stared at the now closed wooden door letting the hushed tones of the room surround him and then after ten seconds (although to Dan it felt like a life time) he broke down. The smile simply vanished from Dan’s face as his hands made there way into his hair, and as soon as his figures grasped at his hair the man crouched down, his head in hands and for the first few seconds he just stared at a small crack in the flooring before letting out a cry of pain. The yell continue until Dan was read in the face, and with a deep breath it was soon followed by a long line of expletives as his hands let go of his hair and slipped down to cover his face.
The emotions that were raging on inside of Dan was tearing him apart. On the one hand he wanted to stand up, run down the corridor and curse Miss Locke until she could no longer talk. The other half of him just wanted to curl up in a little ball and cry in the corner wishing that he had decided to have that second bacon sandwich then this would never have happened.
Pushing himself up off the floor Dan shook himself down, took a deep breath, straightened his back and jacked and turned around to face Vicky with only half his normal sense of confidence. He knew there was not going back now for him and Vicky and at the moment there was he could not go back to Dia, not now. How could he look her in the eye after this?
“We keep up with the love potion story.” Dan stated plainly as he walked over towards the pink tea cups, handing one over towards Vicky. “If we drink the potion, stumble to the hospital wing then no matter what Fay says we have someone else to back us up and I am saved from Dia’s wrath.” He offered Vicky a small cheeky smile in an attempt to show his side of humour had not all been completely destroyed. “Agreed?”
(I am sorry. It is short, crap and took me ages )

Felicity was no longer pretending to be sweet and kind about what she saw. The look she was giving them now was almost murderous, vengeful even. This wasn't going to go away there was no doubt. Shock, dismay, horror went through her now as she wondered what they were going to do. As soon as Felicity left Dan showed his real hand, the poker face wiped away.
He started to cry out in pain, grabbing her wand she said the Imperturbable Charm just in case anyone passed by they would hear nothing. As she did this she started to wonder how the girl found them in the first place. No one else was out and about and even if she was on patrol what brought her to this particular room. Vicky thought it was all just a little too convenient, but she didn't dare mention this to Dan he was already a mess.
Of course he was worried about what miss Locke intended to do about this. Dia was his main concern, whether or not she would find out the truth about what Dan had been doing all those nights he said he was headed to the ministry of magic. In a matter of time the cat could be out of the bag and she was worried for both their sakes.
He still wasn't ready to give up though he figured this whole love potion trick was the only way to get through this. Vicky was skeptical but since Felicity had only caught them once and Dan had played his part it seemed the only logical solution. Love potions were potent and you just couldn't control yourself. So she grabbed the cup offered to her and took a sip. "Agreed" she said waiting for effects that didn't take long to kick in. Dan was in her line of sight, and she began to giggle like a little girl at him.
"You're so handsome I never realized how much until now. That's why I can't stop thinking of you. You're the best man in the world you know I mean you're headmaster, you're smart, sexy, you make me smile" she couldn't stop talking about how much she liked him. "Oh boy we need to get to the nurse I think I love you way too much she needs to help me with that, but then I don't think I want her to...." maybe this plan was a bad idea.

Why? Why the hell did he have to be so immature, so stupid with the way he acted not thinking about the consequence of his actions. Why he had opened that door and lead Vicky into what was supposed to be into a bit of privacy? Why could he not see the damage that could be done? Why was it only now when they had been caught did he suddenly realise what he could lose? And why was this pain all too familiar?
Trying to fight the pain in his heart and the permanent stinging in his eyes as tears threatened Dan looked at Vicky but that was not a wise step when trying to compose himself. His throat had closed up, restricting his breathing causing his chest to heave up and down even more. Even as he managed to find his voice and state his plan he could feel the cold sweat of guilt as a single bead ran down from his forehead. In his mind now there was only one question which was taking control of his very being. What would kill him first? The guilt or Dia?
With a shaking hand Dan reached out and took hold of the pink tea cup, his gaze dropt fro Vicky to the liquid inside the cup and as he breathed in deeply the smell of Dia’s perfume filled the air around him. Of course he should have known the love potion would give off his favourite smell in the world but he never expected the pain that would be followed with it. The remorse of his actions over the past month, it was like standing in front of her in the Entrance Hall all over again after that fateful night in December all over again. He could see the pained look on her face, the heartbreak in her pure blue eyes and the smell of her perfume.
This hesitation had cost him time and already Vicky had taken her potion and was already starting to act like, well like she was drunk on love and it was not the prettiest of sights. And so, just like in the old days when the woman he was pulling was not the prettiest thing in the world Dan downed his drink, the taste of sherry trifle making the task much easier then downing a double fire whisky. Vicky continued to talk about how sexy he was and as Dan finally brought himself to look at the woman in front of him. The potion slowly started to work, Dan started to feel light headed and it was almost as if the rose tinted spectacles had been put on and suddenly the pain of betray started to fade and be replaced by the complete and utter devotion to one Victoria Potter.
“You’re not so bad looking yourself.” Dan replied cockily, as the typical Hubbles grin filled his face once more. “I love you for that.” He slammed his tea cup onto the table and reached out pulling Vicky right up against him. “I love your hair, I love your eyes, I love your sweet sweet…”he leaned in and kissed her lips to emphasize what he meant. “I just love you!”

Vicky had never felt like this before, granted she had wanted Dan more than any other man in the world but it was mostly want. This feeling was truly different, it was something she could never explain to anyone in words. Every single time she looked at him she felt heat swirl through her body, but it wasn't a sexual heat, it was something pure and good. It was as if she had eyes for no one else but him, no other man in the world would do for her no matter what happened. Just the sound of his name sent her on edge...Dan her mind called and each and every time she smiled broadly.
He on the other hand didn't look at her with love. He looked unhappy mopey almost. What was wrong with him? Maybe her love could help overcome it. She went to move closer to him but the look in his eyes stopped her dead in her tracks. The love of her life looked so sad that it nearly broke her heart and sent her into fits of sadness. No one that she loved should ever look that way. What would she have to do to help him? She had no idea all she could think of now was how much she loved him.
He grabbed the tea cup, just like the one she had in her hand the one that made the room smell just like Dan. Oh good if he drank that then he would be all better in no time. Vicky smiled while she watched him looking like a drunk who couldn't wait to devour some alcohol. The sip was sort but it would be enough, the cups held magic in them and it didn't take magic long to work.
Soon enough Dan remembered that he loved her too. The sad face was gone and he couldn't stop looking at her, just like she couldn't stop looking at him. He admitted his love like she knew he would. Pulling her closer to his body he kissed her, and she almost fainted. No kiss felt so sweet. "Oh you are the most amazing man in the world, even when you kiss it just makes me love you more. I like saying I love you Dan it sounds good." She grabbed him now and kissed him pulling him closer to her. "I can't get enough of you." She admitted planting another kiss. Who knew love was so consuming it was odd really like she was floating on air her head felt funny but she brushed it off.

He was flying as high as the hawk, his deep consuming love for Vicky was taking over as with every seconded that ticked by the carriage clock that side of a shelf on the far wall of the classroom his love grew stronger and he knew that nothing in the world would tare them apart. He did not want to be away from her, the mere thought sent pangs of pain through his heart and he knew if that dreaded moment did ever happen the pain and longing would be ten times worse and he knew that he would run through the rain to be by her side. Even when Vicky confessed her love for him all over again, when she kissed him Dan knew could not understand how it was all so easy now. This love seemed to come so naturally to him and he could not explain it. His past was blur all he could see was his future, his future with Vicky as his wife and mother to his children.
As they stood there in each others arms he ran Dan ran his hand through Vicky’s soft, silk like hair and it was then he noticed the glint of gold on his left hand. Perplexed Dan gently removed it from her brown locks and held his hand up in the light watching the gold glisten in the sunlight…they were already married. His grin grew wider and as he went to take hold of Vicky’s hands to kiss them he noticed that she did not wear a gold wedding band, not even a sparkling diamond engagement ring.
“I…I am not married to you.” His concerned eyes flashed from the bare hand to the beautiful, fair face of his dearest love. “But I only love you my marriage is a lie.” Quickly Dan pulled the ring off his finger and stuffed it carelessly into his trouser pocket. “I am only yours Vicky, always and forever…runaway with me?” His cool blue eyes started into her vibrant violet eyes, his heart was pounding so quickly he could have sworn it would burst out of his chest at any second. “Please, runaway with me. I love you…I love you….I LOVE YOU!!!”
The emotion of the moment had taken over and he did not hear her give a response, but he did not care. In his heart he knew that the answer would be yes, if she loved him half the amount that he loved her she would have said yes anyway. Carried away by his love for Vicky he swept her off her feet, his mouth met hers and all but threw her onto a near by table and with a second to get this breath Dan Hubbles moved in for the kill.

Or at least he would have done had Dan expected the arrival of yet another guest into the supposed private classroom and who better to catch her brother and the new Charms Professor then the Headmasters own sister.
Girty Hubbles had been happily making her way towards the Muggle Studies classrooms to surprise Alex during their free lesson right after breakfast when a small first year Hufflepuff had approached her. The poor ickle first year had lost her favourite quill and wanted help to search for it and Girty being a person never to refuse the cry of help from a fellow Hufflepuff noble agreed to help the poor child in fear that she would burst into tears in the middle of the corridor. “Are you sure you left it in this classroom?” Girty enquired “I am sure I did.” “Doubly sure?” “Triply sure!” “Quadrupley sure?” “er…what is the one for five?” The first year asked in a small voice as she looked up at Girty with wide eyes as if the older Hufflepuff would hold all the answers. “You know what…I have no idea.” Girty laughed.
This fit of giggles and attempts of creating new words had kept them entertained until they reached the door of the particular classroom where the first year had had History of Magic the day before. However when Girty pushed open the door she did not find an empty classroom, in fact what she saw made her mouth drop open and her hands to quickly cover the eyes of the small Hufflepuff she was with.
“DANIEL!!!” Girty cried out in a shrill voice as she could not believe what she was seeing, it was not the fact that her brother was topless that bothered her (she had walked in on him doing a lot worse in the past) but it was the fact that she knew straight away it was not Dia’s hands that were running through his hair seeing as she had been having breakfast with Dia only ten minutes ago. Unable to find any other words that would be suitable to shout at her brother Girty’s attentions turned to the blindfolded Hufflepuff at her side who was desperately trying to pull away Girty’s hands away from her eyes so she could see what was happening in the classroom.
After basically kicking the small Hufflepuff out of the room and ordering for her to go back to the common room Girty stormed back into the room, slammed the door and marched over towards her brother. She could feel the rage building up inside of her, her fists were clenched as she tried to control herself and as she breathed in deeply trying to keep her pulse rate low she smelt raw meat. Now that was not a normal smell for a classroom and it was something that she desired more then anything. Her mouth started to water and her tongue ran over her pointed canines that just wanted to bite down into a blood covered piece of meat.
’Snap out of it Hubbles.’ She ordered at herself as she reached the side of her brother and rather vigorously pulled on his shoulders trying to drag him away from… ‘oh Merlin Victoria Potter. The problem came that Dan was not giving up the fight and kept on fighting to get close to Vicky once again and he was slightly bigger then Girty and was winning that battle. Something was not right and that smell of meat was on Dan’s breath, it was coming from those tea cups as well…
“Did you drink out of these?!” Girty had rushed over and picked up the pink teacups and gave them a good sniff and the smell of raw meat was coming from them. She looked over at her brother once more but he was joined at the lips yet again with Vicky and it almost made Girty bring he breakfast back up. Had Vicky given this potion to Dan? Her crush on him was no secret. Was this the work of a desperate and envious woman? Well first things first Girty will have to get Dan cured from this but how could she even get him away from Vicky?
“I am so sorry about this Dan!” Girty continued to talk to her brother even though it was clear he was not paying any attention and in all honesty that did help Girty as it allowed her to hit him over the head with a chair much easier. As the wooden chair made contact with Dan’s head it broke into hundreds of pieces that flew in all direction around the room, but it had worked as the unconscious body of her brother flopped down from the desk and landed with a thud on the classroom floor. With a small, almost evil laugh Girty looked over at the Charms Professor and was about to call her a rather rude word when she smelt raw meat on her breath too. “Oh…now I am in for it!”

Vicky was always under the impression that when it came to love it was a fleeting emotion. Right now it was anything but. Her love for Daniel Hubbles was so pure so real that she thought she would die if it was taken away from her. She couldn't seem to stop thinking of him, he consumed her every thought. Her eyes never leaving him. Dan was her everything and she hopefully was his.
Their lives together would be good, she could see it now a nice house with a white picket fence, a cute little dog and two beautiful children, one with her dark hair and violet eyes and one with Dan's hair and eyes staring at the both of them with adoring eyes. This was what she wanted most in the world, she didn't care about her job or her career anymore Dan was all that mattered.
He was holding her sliding those amazing hands into her hair. She shivered enjoying the romantic touch. Vicky couldn't think straight anymore her mind was swirling with thoughts of all the things she wanted to do to him in this room. His voice managed to cut through the thoughts, he mentioned that he was not married to her. Vicky found this a rather odd statement but when she looked at her hand she noticed she had no ring, but he did. Huh, that was funny. They were not married to each other but he seemed to be married to someone else. A pang of jealousy swept through her at this point. Another woman somewhere lay claim to him. She saw red for a sixteenth of a second.
He told her that he loved her and that his marriage to whomever the nameless faceless woman was had been a lie. Victoria soon calmed down, his love was for her and her alone and that was all that mattered. He wanted them to run away together, "Of course I'll go anywhere you want me to Dan, I am yours forever and always take me..." she never finished speaking he had grabbed her and got her onto a table his lips on hers, he was going to have her and he was going to have her right then and there.
That was the plan according to his body language. Unfortunately their destination still hadn't changed they were doing this in an empty classroom at school. Of course there was no assurance of privacy. So when the door burst open and someone screamed Dan's name Vicky again felt embarrassed, but she didn't stop kissing Dan nor want him to stop kissing her.
The couple was still joined together even with another person in the room. Vicky knew the voice all too well they shared teaching duties Girty was her teaching assistant and Dan's sister but that didn't seem to matter. Dan Dan Dan, was all her mind screamed at her.
Then boom, a huge crash something breaking and Dan falling to the floor. Vicky though she was about to die when she saw the love of her life lying there lifeless on the ground. Girty his own sister responsible. "DAN OH MY LORD. GIRTY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" she yelled not paying attention or hearing what Girty had to say. "Dan love please wake up please please please" she begged to no avail. Again she felt fire in her eyes as she looked up at the person who caused the trouble. "You couldn't stand to see us happy could you. We found out we loved each other and you couldn't keep out of it. You knocked him out to keep him from me" she rose to her full height eying the younger Hubbles. "He loves me and that pisses you off doesn't it." Vicky didn't hear how hysterical she sounded just then perhaps if she did she might have stopped but she was blinded by rage. "I should do to you what you've just done to me take away what you love most" grabbing her wand she pointed it at the girl her violet eyes flashing as she tired to think of a spell to use on her that would inflict as much damage as she had just caused her....

Girty knew that as soon as her mother found out about this she was dead, it would not matter that Dan was kissing another woman or that she was actually saving him from doing something stupid her mother will only see it as the basic fact of Girty smashed a chair on top of Daniels head. Full stop, end of story, Goodnight Vienna. So with this very thought running through her mind of having to face her parents wrath the younger of the Hubbles children just started at the unconscious body of her brother while trying to ignore the background wailing of one Professor Victoria Potter.
Problem number two for Girty was now the fact that the Charms Professor was now shouting at her and waving her wand around in her face. Fear struck the Hufflepuff for a moment as she could she no way out of it, she would be cursed and then Dan and Vicky would run off together and she would have to pick up the pieces. But then Vicky said something that actually brought a small smile to Girty’s face. ‘I should do to you what you've just done to me take away what you love most’
“I would like to see you try that seeing as he is already dead.” Ever since the incident with Ricky Girty had made herself perfectly aware that she was still stupidly in love with Thom, although nobody else knew other then herself and her worst enemy in a room where one was unconscious and the other was so drugged up on love potion nothing made sense it seemed viable to get away with making such a statement. And along with the small confession came a surge of energy that eradicated the fear of a wand being branded in her face. If she had already physically attacked one Professor today then she might as well make it a pair.
Gladly taking the hesitation from Victoria Girty went for a nice simple broken nose, that should shut the woman up. So with the ball of her right hand Girty thrust it forward into the base of the Professors nose and could not help but give a nice vindictive grin when she heard the crack.
“Right” she spoke allowed to herself. “All I need to do now is get Dan to the hospital wing and get him cured.” With a deep breath almost to brace herself for the task Girty bent down, rolled up her trouser leg and pulled her wand out of her long yellow and black stripped sock. But in the back of her mind she could not help but feel that Vicky would not just leave it at this.

Victoria had been so distracted. She was supposed to be coming up with a curse to stop Girty but her eyes caught sight of Dan lying there knocked out by his own sister. This was a mistake of course her moment of weakness cost her big time when she looked up she saw a hand coming at her and POW. She felt the break and it hurt like hell. Suddenly the world seemed to fall away as she fell back a desk being knocked out of the way as she ended up on the floor.
The nose began to bleed like mad what the heck was wrong with Girty. Why was she so against their love. "I don't understand" she whimpered, tears falling out of her eyes. The nose was in agony. She needed to find her wand to fix this. The blood streaming down her face made this hard, but she was determined. Then she realized what she needed to do "Accio wand" she said and in seconds it flew into her hands.
Trying to maintain her composure for a few minutes she pointed the wand at her nose saying "Episkey" the wand glowed and in seconds her broken nose had been healed. Though she didn't have time to clean herself up she stood up again at her full height staring at Girty. "What is your problem we are in love I mean we drank the tea and we realized that we were completely in love. I can't understand why you would want to stand in the way of that."
Dan would hate seeing the two of them fight and Vicky didn't want to make him man but Girty was standing in their way and she couldn't do that she shouldn't do that. Again Vicky started to feel an unexplained anger at the thought of someone trying to keep her away from the object of her affections. Girty was the problem not her or Dan. To be together she would have to get rid of her Dan would be mad but his love for her would make him forget sooner rather than later. This time Vicky pointed her wand and didn't waste time thinking "Expulso" she shouted hoping to blow up the problem before Dan woke up.

That was the big question, how was Girty going to do this? Glancing at her watch she saw that the first lesson of the day was about to begin so the corridors would be full of students running to their lessons and if she was to start to carry their headmaster, unconscious up the stairs questions were bound to get asked and rumours would be spread so quickly, especially if the Professor Potter was there with a broken nose. That was it then, she would wait till the corridors were slightly quieter and then take Dan to the Hospital Wing.
That plan would have been nice and easy had it not been for the drugged up Professor who seemed to have the obsessive idea that Girty was trying to break her and Dan apart. Okay, yes she was trying to separate them but that was only because she wanted to help both of them out and stop them for doing something they would regret, after all Dan was married. But being drunk on potion induced love Vicky was not going to quit right now and as Girty stood and looked at her brother who was still laying on the floor the shrill sound of Vicky’s voice sounded out in the classroom once again.
As soon as the Charms professor raised her wand Girty had done the same and as the first syllables of ‘Expulso’ left the woman’s mouth the quick thinking Hufflepuff was already shouting at the top of her lungs. “Protego!” A protective shimmering shield appeared in front of her and Vicky’s spell ricocheted off and hit one of the shelves causing it to explode. This Professor was not going down without a fight and in all honesty Girty did not quiet fancy beating up the person she was the apprentice for so maybe she would have to adopt a different tactic.
“Professor stop!” The shield around Girty died and the Hufflepuff raised her hands up in the air to signal surrender. “I just want to get Dan to the Hospital Wing. I want him to get better…will you help me?”
If she loved him as much as she claimed then Girty believed that Vicky should help her take her brother to the Hospital Wing and hopefully help put an end to all this loved upness.

Girty was good or maybe she was just off her game due to her immense high. Whatever it was Girty was able to block her spell with a shield charm. Victoria's charm backfired and went ricocheting off one of the cabinets or something making a loud crashing sound on its way down. Vicky didn't even jump she was simply focused on Dan. She wanted to get closer but Girty was stopping her.
Vicky's eyes narrowed again as she pondered another spell to aim at her. Dan was her focus and having that taken away from her made her mad as hell. But then Girty told her to stop. This stunned Vicky for a moment wondering why she wanted her to do that. Was she going to surrender and let her have Dan back.
No she didn't want to let them be she wanted to take Dan away take him to the hospital wing. There was nothing romantic in the hospital wing, but then she saw Dan lying on the floor knocked out. He couldn't love her if he was knocked out. They would have to go to the hospital to get him better.
Her mind was so far gone that she forgot she could have brought Dan back on her own. Just wanting him better she finally stopped fighting Girty. "OK fine I just want him better, that way we can do what we were planning in the first place, running away together would be better with him there." She gave him a loving look. "Let's go then" she said ready to have Dan back to normal then maybe they could pick up where they left off before Girty butted in.

Was that Vicky agreeing? Girty was unsure as her heart was pounding so fast in her chest and the blood was pumping so loudly in her years that the Professors voice seemed like a distant echo. This is not what she had expected when she woke up this morning, but then again she should have guessed the day was going to start off bad when she ended up having breakfast with Dia. Don’t get Girty wrong here, she does like her sister-in-law and she can see what Dan see’s in her (well sort of) but the conversations they have when it is just them are always uneasy, filled with long tense silences when neither no what to say next. That was the years of hatred on Girty’s half playing out, ‘HA’ she thought ‘No wonder Vicky thought I was trying to tare them apart, it is all I ever do to Dan’s whor--women.’
With a deep breath Girty tried to calm her nerves and trying to control the pain in her veins, she was not going to have another incident like before; she was just going to have to learn how to control her animal side. Her original plan was to stay away from extreme and fluctuating emotions and rage, but then when you are the little sister to Daniel Hubbles that is a very hard thing to do. “Okay then.” Girty spoke slowly as she looked down at her watch. It had just gone 9am now so everyone should be in class; they were going to have to chance it. Creeping over towards the door Girty opened it up the tiniest of bits, poked her head out and looked around the deserted corridor.
“Seeing as Dan is out cold we are going to have to carry him.” The Hufflepuff was now walking away from the door and back towards Dan and Vicky. Girty and her wild imagination had an image of her and Vicky dragging Dan up the stairs, his head banging on every step he passed causing a comical look to appear on his deranged face. Sadly however she knew that would not do and it was occasions such as this where magic did have its uses.
With a flick of the wrist Dan was soon hovering above the dusty floor of the classroom, his head lolling backwards making him truly seem as if he was dead. ‘Mum is going to kill me for this.’ But now was not the time to be thinking about the favouritism in the family, she needed to give Vicky a job to keep her shush. “Er…Professor you…you…hold his head up and make sure he does not swallow his tongue.” Not the most sentimental of words to be spoken but the way Girty finished it was a classical Hubbles charming smile, how could anyone ever refuse? In fact she did not even believe Vicky would and so was already leading the floating body of her brother out of the room.
