Sarie Thimble is a girl who looks to be about eleven years old. Things are not always what they seem. Sarie is a third year who doesn't like to stay in on place to long. She has short brown hair and dark eyes. Her skin is pale in the torch light. She a bookish, quiet type but she has faced some of the strangest things. She had once met demetors in the forest and argued with people from the ministry. Sarie might look eleven but she not.
She was finally tired of the common room and left. She had been sitting alone anyway so it was no big deal. She hummed and walked down the hall way. She loved the old stone floors with its feel of being older then the world. She like history and she like the way the stones where worn from age. How many students had tread this hallway before her.
She looked at the bright tapestries but her favorite was the paintings. The where very handy if you got lost or needed some one to talk to. Sarie went down a hidden stair case that brought her to a hall full of paintings. She had many friends here, this was the hall that she had and Jac had argued with the ministry. She wasn't going to let them take the paintings no matter who they where. Sarie walked over the one of the paintings that when she noticed some thing funny. The paintings weren't as bright as they always where the paints had faded which was strange.

It had been a long morning. The only classes that Emmalynn had today was Transfiugration and that was early early in the morning. So the rest of the day she was free. Most of the time Emma would sit in the common room and wait for someone who wasn't busy with classes, homework, or their own life to talk to her, but she quickly found out that mainly all Ravenclaw's had no free time in their schedules.
Emmalynn had nothing else better to do so she walked from Transfiguration with all of the lesson flying in one ear and out the other as she climbed up the stairs and entered the common room. Of course, like normal, nobody was there. Shye dropped her books in her dorm and flopped into a comfy couch. Emma stared into the fire's flames, got up, and went to walk the halls.
The glass pictures fascinated Emma. The way the sun shone through it, so the colors were vibrant than dull. They were great friends whenever all of your other ones were busy, but most of the time the pictures made of glass were usually sad. Why? Emmalynn had no idea. There was a special one with a window seat on the end of the corridor with a lot of paintings on it. Emma skipped down the hallway and took a seat.
She sat there thinking of how much more boring her seventh year could get. She managed to come up with a lot and at her last thought the glass picture's face lit up. Huh that's funny... Em had never seen glass smile. Emmalynn looked around and then noticed a little Gryffindor girl walk down the corridor. She continued to sit there, but yelled,"Hi... you look confuzzled. What's up?"

"Hi... you look confuzzled. What's up?" Sarie turned to see a Ravenclaw she looked like a bored 7 th year. "Yeah it's this painting. I remember it being much brighter. It looked made with brighter passels." She looked at the picture agian than headed over to the girl. "Sarie Thimble. May I know your name." She sat down next to the ravenclaw.

Hiding is probably what you would say Rosalind Matthews was doing. She was finally at Hogwarts and all she had really seen of the school so far was the outside the Great Hall and her room. She and Paige were having some issues getting their classes sorted out which was why she hadn't seen the rooms. Most shocking of all was that she hadn't even sought out the library which she had heard was immense a fountain of knowledge for anyone wanting to learn about magic as she had. She had no reason for being so shy or subdued at home they used to beg her to shut up. Recently she had barely said two words to anyone.
Her mother sent an owl that morning, it came to her room because she only went to the Great Hall for food when she knew no one else would be there. Since it had been early and time for most students to have breakfast Rosa stayed behind so the owl hunted her down there. She still wasn't used to receiving mail this was at home it had normally come by post, though her mother did say their original Hogwarts acceptance letters were sent by owl. Not paying the bird too much mind, she had been daydreaming, it ruffled its feathers rather loudly causing Rosa to look up. "Oh right sorry" she said to it as she untied the note. The moment it was loose the bird flew off.
Sitting on her bed Rosa read her mother's note. Paige told their mother how she had become missing in the castle, told her that her daughter was a recluse. Of course as any mother would be Rosalind's was worried. Told her daughter she didn't have to stay at the school if she didn't want to, could come home and resume homeschooling while Paige stayed back. Something about those last few words hit a nerve with Rosalind. Paige stay back like Rosa couldn't handle being there. Quite the contrary she would handle it and handle it better than Paige. Putting on her game face she got dressed. Today was the day people would know Rosalind Matthews.
After throwing on jeans, a t-shirt, and some trainers Rosalind walked out of her common room. A new spring in her step and a big smile on her face. People stared at her, they were wearing robes and the uniform and here she was in plain clothes this strange new girl. Rosa ignored them had to or she'd be running back to her room right now. Taking stairs she didn't know she entered a hall with a door. Where it led she didn't have a clue but she was in the mood to find out so she opened it and slipped through.
Wall to wall paintings. Whoa, they were moving. Her mom mentioned that but Rosa thought she was being funny, seems she wasn't. Her facial features went from being happy to being in awe. Her mouth no longer smiling but now forming an O. Like oh man is this awesome. For a minute there was nothing else but this hall and these paintings but then she heard voices. More people up there maybe she better check it out. So walking quietly she moved down the hall people in the paintings staring at her some even jumped from canvas to canvas conversing to her words she could not comprehend. Reaching her marks she found two girls she had not seen before. Feeling rather bold she gave a nice "hi there I'm Rosalind hope I'm not disturbing you."

Sarie looked up to see a girl. "Nope where just talking about how the paintings look funny. It's nice to meet you." She smiled. "I'm Sarie Thimble. Would you like to join us. I'm a 3rd Gryffindor and you." She patted the stone floor next to her. There's lots for floor everyone.

Friendly people were a rare breed she didn't think she'd find many at this school. Something about a comment her mother made had Rosa feeling that way but look at that mothers didn't always know best. The girl in the corridor was delightful not making Rosa feel like an outcast at all. What a breath of fresh air all of that time she had spent cooped up in her room she could have been out and about meeting people like this.
"How very nice to meet you Sarie. Sarie is a very pretty name but it's very unusual does it mean anything? Gryffindor house you say I'm afraid I don't know much about the different houses I'm a fifth year Ravenclaw. I'd love to join you and perhaps as well as discussing these most unusual pictures we could also discuss the houses I'm so very curious. I recently heard of a book entitled Hogwarts a History which I'm sure can explain it, but who better to help me out with that then an actual student." Rosalind didn't know it but she was truly a Ravenclaw.

Sarie listened the Claw. "My name doesn't mean anything that I know of my dad named me. Hogwarts a History isn't well the most expecting read but it does have a lot information. It doesn't have this though the picture used to be so happy and now it's dreary and I don't really understand. What could make do a total 180 you know what I mean."
