“Oh posh, this isn’t right.”
Leyla’s cheeks were puffed out in annoyance as she leaned against the wall. In her hand was a small, half-transfigured rock. It was supposed to be a flower, but it turned into a stone flower. With a huff, Leyla grabbed up her wand again and flicked it. The rock shivered and finally changed its transformation. In her hand was a small, violet flower. Rose’s didn’t come in violet, of course, but this was magic, she didn’t have to be scientifically correct.
Grinning, the Gryffindor stuck it behind her ear and started to walk down the halls again. She bounced down the stairs, her hair bouncing as well as she did. Was it strange that she was amused by the smallest things? Or proud by the fact that she could make a flower out of a rock? Maybe, but that was just Leyla. It wasn’t weird to her that she should be so happy with herself when she accomplished a task.
One portrait complimented her on her flower, and a grin filled the young girl’s face. She called back a ‘thank you’ but continued to walk down the halls. Leyla wasn’t really going anywhere in particular, just kind of wandering. And, at least for her, wandering feet always led to a wandering mind. So, she didn’t realize when she walked through one of the school’s ghosts. Only the rush of cold air and a huff from said ghost brought her out of her little daydream. Flushing in embarrassment, Leyla turned back around.
“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry! I wasn’t paying attention…and I didn’t see you…”
Ley trailed off, looking up at the ghost with a hopeless expression. With a sigh, she was forgiven, and Leyla bounced away again. This time, when she did run into someone, at least she realized it right away. The pale girl slammed straight into someone, which sent her sprawling onto the floor. She let out a surprised gasp as she landed promptly on her bottom. Her flower fluttered to the floor, landing beneath her legs. With wide eyes, she looked at the person she had run into. Oh dear, she was in trouble now.
“I’m sorry! That was my fault entirely. I really need to pay more attention…”

"Arnie, you've got to be kidding me!" she sighed at her natter jack toad, as he lay struggling, legs flailing about. Stuck between the door and it's frame, his head was on the outside and he croaked away increasingly getting louder before Via had heard him from all the ruckus in the hufflepuff common room. Saving him just in time from getting squished and being on some frenchman's plate, she opened the door so he was free once again, and he automatically hopped off away from her. Frowning, Via shouted after him and began running in his direction not looking up from the floor.
If Via ever used profanities it would be in a time and a situation like this, however, swearing was not in her vocabulary and Via was glad of it. Instead she simply used 'merlin's beard', 'flobberworm' and 'blast-enders', the latter being one of her favourites. As she chased Arnie around the corridors scuffling after him in attempt to catch the runaway who even now still liked to be with the gryffindor girls and try and get a kiss from them, she huffed, slightly annoyed at his games and how he was obsessed with them. Anyone would think if he got a kiss from them that he would turn into a prince and that was what he wanted, but Via knew that it wasn't going to happen.
"Arnie, get back here!" she said in a half whisper, not wanting to bring any more attention to herself as she followed a toad around the corridors of Hogwarts. As she rounded a bend, she smacked into someone, her tall frame sending the smaller girl falling down. Stopping in her tracks, Via's face turned into an 'o' and she offered the girl a hand up. "No, no, it was my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going" she replied to the girl. "It's my toad you see, he has an obsession with the gryffindor girls, and well, he loves me but he just likes them a little too much" she smiled as she shrugged, not quite understanding the situation between Arnie and the Gryffindor girls herself. Looking down, she saw a flower in which she guessed belonged to the girl. Picking it up, she examined it closely for a few moments in silence before fingering the petals and handing it back to the girl. "It's a pretty colour, but i've never seen a purple rose before so i'm guessing you transfigured it?" she smirked, noticing Arnie was next to the girls foot.
"Arnie!" she gasped, laying her hand out flat as the toad jumped into it. She stood up once again and petted him with a triumphant smile on her face. Looking back up to the girl, she held him out so she could stroke him, after all she must of been a gryffindor and it would satisfy his urges. "Sorry, I'm Via..." she introduced.

"No worries, mate," Noah had been on his way to the Great Hall when he'd walked in on the collision, and he paused in his tracks to watch the aftermath with one arched brow.
Apparently Noah had been addressing the toad because he walked up to the outstretched hand and sent the amphibian a sympathetic look. "I have an in with the Gryffindor girls - I'll help you out." He grinned, winking at Leyla, before plucking the flower from her hands again.
"Or did Arnie give you this?" Noah frowned, before playfully nudging Via with an elbow. "Maybe he's better at this than I thought."

Leyla blinked up at the brown-haired girl. She took the hand thankfully and hoisted herself up. The toad was thrust into her face, and Leyla let out a small giggle. “Well that’s sweet of him. Arnie was it? Hello Arnie.” She crooned softly, petting the toad. Most other girls, she suspected, would probably be repulsed by the frog. Frog, Oh my god it’s so gross! Leyla was hardly fazed by it. Honestly, she had an older brother.
And then Noah appeared out of, well, no where. She huffed at his response and rolled her eyes at him. “Yes I did transfigure it. Took a few tries, but I finally got it!” Leyla exclaimed, nearly bursting with her pride. She looked back over to Noah and stuck her tongue out at him childishly while placing her hands on her hips. “Like you know anything about the Gryffindor girls, or any girl for that matter.”
She took the flower from Noah’s hands and put it back behind her ear. With a flick of her wrist, she pushed some of her hair out of her face, only to have it fall back again. She puffed out her lips in annoyance and tried again, only to have the same result. “Bugger.” Leyla blew at the clump of hair, but it refused to cooperate.

Noah smiled slightly as his Gryffindor companion balanced the flower behind her ear. "Why do girls insist on doing that?" He asked no one in particular, though looked at Arnie with an amused smile on the edge of his lips afterward. "But, even I have to admit that's a flattering choice of colour." Noah hovered his hand over Leyla's ear, examining the unusual violet hue.
Seemingly something had stole his attention because seconds later, Noah swiftly drew the flower away from Leyla's hair, loosening a few strands as he did. "You said you transfigured this?" His expression became thoughtful, eyes glimmering a bit devilishly. "Look how this petal shines, sparkles even." Noah stared at it for a moment, before sending Leyla a crooked smile and tucking the ornament behind her ear again. "I think you might have transfigured amethyst. It hides inside rocks."
Noah's smile faded slightly, though his eyes grew mischievous. With a teasing voice, he glanced beside Via to stare out one of the corridor windows. "Volcanic rock, actually. You don't think anything below the lake is ready to erupt, do you?"
[OOC; Did you see mine? Yours is epic in comparison, rofl.]

Petting Arnie slightly, he croaked in pleasure as she stroked the right spot on the top of his head before he jumped out of her hand and clambered onto Noah's jumper, making a break for his shoulder. "It looks like he's found a fellow womaniser" she joked, grinning so hard her eyes creased up in amusement. Smiling wildly at Leyla's banter with Noah, she just stood there watching the pair interact over the beautiful flower, something in which she never thought she'd see, especially coming from a Gryffindor boy. Noah quite surprised her with this, and she looked at him thoughtfully.
"We could always go and see if there is any?" she offered the gryffindor pair as she pointed out the window towards the direction of the lake. The thought of finding amethyst quite excited her, and she began to felt the bubbles erupt within her of sheer enthusiasm. At least the day wouldn't be a total waste if they didn't find any, at least she was gaining friends.
As Via's eyes turned back to Arnie who was now croaking happily on Noah's shoulder, she smiled at him before blew a raspberry at him. "He seems to prefer the company of everyone else but me!" she smiled with her eyebrows raised. She often thought she should maybe transfigure him into an ornament, even if just to keep him still instead let alone keep him with her. If it wasn't Gryffindor girls he was chasing, he would be with the gryffindor boys trying to act all macho, well, as macho as an extremely small toad could be.
[Haha, mine totally sucked for this one too]

Leyla just rolled her eyes at him and said nothing. She glanced over at Via, who seemed amused by the way the two were bickering. A small smile turned the corners of her lips up in response. Noah dragged her attention away again though, and she looked back over to him. “Thanks. I didn’t really pick the color though.” She shrugged lightly and leaned slightly away from Noah’s outstretched hand.
At Via’s comment, Ley couldn’t help but let out a laugh. She nodded, still giggling under her breath. That is, until Noah decided to snatch her flower away again. Her hair fell back over her eyes. And with an irritated twitch of her wrist she pushed it back behind her ear again. “Yes, I transfigured it from a rock.” She pursed her lips thoughtfully as Noah twisted it, and leaned closer to inspect it. “Maybe that’s why the petals are so stiff…”
Go outside and look for another? “Brilliant Via!” She skipped over and stood on her tiptoes so should could wrap her arm around Via’s shoulders. A large grin was found on the Gryffindor’s face.”I forgot to introduce myself earlier. I’m Leyla.” She dropped down from her tiptoes and grabbed Via’s arm. Reaching over, she also clamped her hand around Noah’s wrist and began to drag the two. “Come on, come on! We’re wasting day light here people.”

Arnie croaked loudly in Noah's ear once Leyla began to violently pull him down the hall. After being jerked precariously back and forth, the toad relented and buried itself in the folds of Noah's robes, leaving the Gryffindor vaguely amused.
"I bet you're looking forward to the gemstone rather than the volcano," Noah sent Via an arched brow, the corner of his lips tilting into a half smile. Though, when they reached the double doors leading to the grounds, he tugged Leyla's hand back gently, causing the three of them to pause in a brief stop. "The merpeople make most of their weapons from the lake's rock, and will probably believe the volcano is theirs."
Untangling their hands, he walked forward and pushed the doors open, consequently letting in a wave of sunlight. "But I think a piece of Hogwarts landscape will look brilliant in my dorm." He glanced over his shoulder at both girls with a devious gleam in his eyes, holding the door open widely.
"After you."
