Grasping onto the wooden bannister high up within the clock tower, Bijou peered around below her, watching the various house colours pass beneath her as the students walked around, talking to each other, gossiping and generally just being students. Her small black eyes blinked a couple of times and her head twitched before she cooed and flew onto one of the clock's arms.
It was times like this when Bijou was proud that she had stuck with her Animagus training, no matter how hard it had been to master. She remembered the time when she was stuck with her bird tail for a week, a total embarrassment and she did not stop blushing for a month after the incident, but this was what it was all about. She was happy that her animagus form was a dove, it gave her much more freedom than the other known animagus' in Hogwarts. There was the scare of course of Erys or Bray trying to eat her being the feline's that they were, but that hadn't happened so far, and if she ever got the senses of Erys near, she knew to get somewhere where the pesky cat couldn't reach her.
With that thought of Erys or Bray trying to reach her up on the clock face, Bijou cooed a sort of musical laugh before she spotted a Ravenclaw, the first one in a few hours that happened to wander into the clock tower. Blinking, Bijou cooed again before flapping her wings and swooping down to the bannister near the girl.
Bijou tilted her head to the side slightly examining the girls face with intelligent eyes, scanning the girls face as if she was (in her own birdy way) asking her what was wrong. The girl probably had no idea that Bijou was in fact her classmate and in the same house, not many people knew of Bijou's animagus. She wasn't keeping it a secret, it's just that not many people talked to her. It was safe to say she wasn't one of these students in the popular group of Hogwarts, but she didn't mind. "Coooo" she hummed again to the girl, nearing her slowly incase like any odd person, she was actually afraid of birds.

Training had been hard that day. They worked and worked for hours on the same moves and it wasn't until someone cried abuse that things stopped. Alexis wasn thankful that one of her teammates had sense. As they flew back down to the ground, brooms stack back in the broom cupboard. Back in the locker room she changed out of her robes before going back into the castle to shower and change once more. Feeling refreshed Alexis settled down in the common room to do some studying. Oh boy that was a mistake. Of course her teammates like her were suffering from the normal adrenaline rush that wreaked havoc with them for hours on end.
Studying seemed to be out of the question at least while they were acting out sending spit wads flying at one another. Of screaming Quidditch maneuvers at each other while others laughed and giggled as if it was funny. Alexis could do no more then sigh and give up trying to study at least in there. She thought maybe the library would offer some sort of refuge so she ended up there.
Not to be once more since it was crowded. There wasn't a seat left in the place and that was saying something because the library was one of the biggest she had seen ever. Another sigh escaped her pink lips as she thought of where to go next. It was hard to imagine a quiet place in this castle but she was determined to find one simply because she really didn't have much else going on that day.
She searched for over an hour going from room to room but every time she found a spot someone and their loud voice would ruin it. At some point she ended up at the clock tower. Of course there were students passing back and forth here too but after her long search she could now care less. She just needed a break a rest studying was no longer even on her mind. Spotting a spot in the corner she took a seat, hoping that she was going to be alone at least for a little while. If only she knew that being alone at Hogwarts was just never going to happen...

Bijou's beady eyes kept a careful watch on the girl, she had sparked the bird's interest and as she sidestepped on the bannister she watched the girl for a moment, deciding not to bother the girl just yet or turn back into her regular human self as the girl seemed to be a little distressed already.
The girl sat down in the far corner of the clocktower and Bijou felt an urge to fly over to her. She knew however that people tended to freak out when birds flapped right in their faces and so she decided to flap nearby and walk the rest of the way, hobbling a little quicker when someone almost stepped on her and she coo'd in annoyance before hobbling quicker over to the girl and slowing down before she thought the bird was out to eat her.
Looking up at the girl with inquisitive eyes, she waited for her to see her before she neared her once again and jumped up onto her knee, being careful not to claw too hard into it. Bird claws weren't exactly a lethal weapon like cat's claws were but they could still sting. It was then that her stomach rumbled and Bijou realised what time it was. She had missed eating breakfast and dinner and now it was getting later on in the afternoon her empty belly was feeling rejected and unloved.
Ignoring her rumbles for the minute, Bijou stood peacefully on the girls knee simply awaiting her to be stroked and in the anticipation of it an itch had formed on her head in which she hoped the girl would stroke firmly to scratch it. Cooing again, she looked at the girl to get her attention and coo'd loudly before flicking her tail out and stretching her wings as if she was stretching.

No one had passed in a long time. Alexis managed to get the peace and quiet she was after without trying. It thrilled her to no end as she pulled opened her book and started to read. Of course it didn't take long for her to become bored with the subject matter. Alexis was not adept at potions never was though she did her best in each and every class.
Scanning the area she wondered where everyone was. Funny how she was searching for quiet before and now what she wouldn't give for a bit of human contact. Though she couldn't say who she would want to talk to at this point. There weren't many who could hold her attention lately. except Shaun but she hadn't seen him in ages.
Something white flashed by her turning her head to see what caused this slight disturbance she didn't see anything. Maybe she was simply seeing things, it wouldn't be the first time that happened, of course no one knew and she would never tell anyone about it. So she simply went on about her business of not doing anything.
Then it happened again she saw that flash of white and suddenly out of no where a bird, actually a dove landed on her knee. The primary response would be to jump back from a bird simply landing on you like that. In all her years of life Alexis had never seen it done before. Birds didn't bother with people they didn't simply land on your leg and rest there. Time stood still for a moment or two.
Bird and human stared at each other the dove cooing like it wanted Alexis to pet it. Strangely the Ravenclaw girl held out her hand and her hand slid from the birds head all the way down to its tail. "You're a beauty aren't you. You seem to like people and as long as you don't peck at me I'll let you sit here and keep me company."

Bijou quite liked the attention she got from some people when she was her animagus form, especially when they were unsuspecting of her actually being a human. A lot of students would feed her and stroke her and even try and call to her but then there was the odd few who were either scared of birds or tried to stomp on them, normally they were the slytherins who disliked anything cute and feathery.
The girl looked quite shocked that a bird had just sat on her knee with no inhabitions or seem to be scared at all. In fact Bijou was curious of the girl. It was said that dove's were bringers of peace, and maybe in her own little way Bijou hoped that she would bring the girl some peace, even for just a little while.
The girl spoke and Bijou's head tilted so that the girl could visually see that she was infact listening to her. She cooed in response as the girl instinctively stroked her. It was funny how she got more attention as a bird than as a human wasn't it? But for some reason it seemed the girl probably felt the same about herself. Bijou decided it was enough of the disguise.
Hopping off the girls knee, it only took that split second for her form to start changing, growing and changing texture. The white feathers melted into a creamier peach colour of smooth skin as she sprouted upwards and her form changed from that of feathery friend to a human friend. Her eyes were the last to change as her hair sprouted back out from her head, her white blonde locks falling effortlessly to her shoulders as she looked at the girl with her still black beady eyes until after a couple of blinks they had transformed into her pale green ones once again.
Bijou remembered that her eyes looked extremely weird when she was transforming back and it was enough to scare anyone into transmission. Pulling a slightly sad face, she knelt next to the girl. "I hope I didn't scare you"

Alexis was enjoying her time out here now. She didn't need human company because the sweet dove was taking care of her just fine. Alexis could say what she felt knowing that it would stay between her and the bird. "I prefer dealing with you then with a human, you seem to be a lot nicer." Leaning her head back she continued to stroke the birds soft plumage. For once she was greatly at ease, peaceful almost.
The bird for whatever reason jumped off her knee, Alexis' head lifted and she watched the bird with suspicion in her eyes now. It was acting oddly and she feared that she was in for a pecking or something. Instinct told her to get up but she didn't listen just sat there staring. Then the bird began to transform right in front of her.
Now Alexis did get up as she watched the bird she had just been petting go from animal to human. A human she recognized as one of her own classmates. Alexis couldn't help but feel upset and foolish about allowing herself to be used that way. Her face turned red, and suddenly so did her hair. Once again her own powers getting the best of her.
Her embarrassment turned into anger all too quickly, eyes turned from blue to black, her face pallid, as her hair went from red to jet black. "Is that how you get your kicks you allow others to think you're a lovable bird. allow them to share secrets with you and then you turn into your human form so that what you can throw it all in their faces? Please explain yourself Bijou, it is Bijou right?"
