Ellie happily sat down to work at the closest table to the door. Happily, i say, for if you looked back to the end of the previous year, Ellie was ready to throw the whole library out the window. However, a new term and a new year had brought Ellie's spirit back. Now she was no Ravenclaw by any means but, she had decided that after the angst that was last term, the newly sixth year Hufflepuff would not get so buried again. OWLs had turned out rather...interesting. Ellie had received her OWL grade by owl, of course, while she was sailing the amazon with her parents. The letter had put a smile smile on Ellie's face. it wasn't what her parents expected, but Ellie couldn't have hoped for anymore.
- Charms - E
- Defense Against the Dark Arts - E
- Transfiguration - E
- Potions - A
- History of Magic - A
- Herbology - A
- Divination - P
- Astronomy - P
- Care of Magical Creatures - D
So Ellie had done her job. She wouldn't have to take Care of Magical Creatures again. Ellie couldn't help but smile as she thought about this, sitting at the table in the library. A year without stupid animals was just the thing Ellie needed.
However, Ellie didn't know what she wanted to do. She knew that she had to pick something to go into eventually, and soon, as she was told. Ellie was now trying to go through a listing of jobs she would most like to take on after graduation. Dragon Keeper was already out of the picture.

For any member of staff who resided inside the castle the start of a New Term was the clam before the storm, or to put it in simple terms, the small few days before stress levels and blood pressures soared to new levels. It would be within reason then to question what a Librarian would have to worry about however for Offley Marsh it was the sense of organisation that she lost which destroyed her. Over the summer break the red haired witch spent weeks rearranging the bookshelves, restoring the grand books to their original quality and putting everything in order after almost a year of unorganised students put books in the wrong places.
It was the first week back and already Offley was finding Charms textbooks mixed in with the Transfiguration, Potions with Herbology…it just vexed her so. It was on this particular day she was letting her frustration out by chasing a group of Slytherin’s out of the library, even with her vast intellect Offley could not understand why anyone who bore the silver and green emblem of a snake even bothered to enter the library, in her mind (no matter how bias) Slytherin’s were stupid.
Once the vermin had been removed silence filled the library once more and a rather satisfied smile filled the witch’s face. With an arm full of books the Librarian made her way down a particular aisle towards the History of Magic section when she spotted a Hufflepuff sitting alone, she was staring down at a piece of parchment in which Offley automatically knew to be the girl’s results.
“Is everything satisfactory duck?” Offley did not know what possessed her to ask, she knew it was non of her business but occasionally in situations like this some people liked to talk.
