Hattie smiled at Julianna and hefted her bag out of the way, so there was room to get to the sofa.
Hattie grinned at Sarie slightly, who looked like she'd soon be diving into a new conversation, 'Boy' She thought 'Was that girl sociable.'

It had been a long week and Arabelle was ready to wind down and relax in a comfy, squishy chair in the Gryffindor Common Room, but by the looks of things that wasn't going to happen. Ara glanced around the room and noticed lots of students talking, dancing, just acting plain crazy, doing homework, reading, and gossiping. Everyone seemed in the hustle and bustle, it was quite confusing because Christmas was over and New Years was approaching, but that didn't seem relevent. Nobody got all hyped up over a new year, so Arabelle didn't understand. She glanced around again and noticed a two girls sitting in a corner; one with a book and one just sitting there. Ara debated on going over a making a few more friends. They seemed a bit younger than herself, but what the heck, who cared.
On her walk over, Julianna made her way over and beat her to it. Funny, Julie was way a year older, but maybe she had a thing with talking with younglings. They seemed to be nice to her, so Arabelle decided it wouldn't hurt for her to socialize too. She walked over and took a seat next to Julianna. She smiled at the three girls and hoped she wasn't being too overly friendly.
"Hi! Julianna right?" Ara asked as she turned her head toward Julie. "And Sarie and Hattie...." she noted and glanced around the forming group. "Well i'm Arabelle, Ara will do if you must!" Arabelle responded. This making friends thing was new to her, and so was the gossiping, so Ara was hoping there wouldn't be too much of it going on. |
