(Q.Pitch) By the Badger

Liv walked onto the pitch for the first time that year. Now a sixth year, she was extactic to learn she know had Capitan under her belt. Now all she needed to do was show the rest of the school that her Hufflepuff's had what it took to take the cup. Her robes were old, a little ratty from last years use. Her new quidditch robes would soon be here, complete with a "C" over her breast. She would be so proud to wear them.

Smelling the fresh air of the early morning breeze, Liv walked over to the bench, leaning her precious broom up against it. She stretched out her back. The chaser was ready to fly, but she had to wait for the rest of the team. She knew she would be getting some new players today. She was ready to hold some form of tryout. Of course, returning players would get a little nudge ahead in her book, but it didn't mean that the spot was automatically theirs.

Liv took a deep breath, lifting her hair of the nape of her neck. Putting the length into a loose messy bun, she letting her arms fall to the side. Of course it was early, the best time to practice, the air still thin from the night, but it wasn't incredibly early. She expected everyone to be here, soon.

Ok so, here we go again. Can you just give me some hint as to which position you will be playing, shall it be telling Liv or just noting it at the end of your post. Grazie.

[Girty Hubbles]

The terms seemed to be flying by and with only one year left at Hogwarts Girty wanted to enjoy it to its fullest. And as soon as the note appeared on the notice board that it was time again to sort of the Quidditch teams Girty was on her feet running to the pitch, broom in had and robes thrown scruffily into her bag.
After a quick change and tying her hair up into a rather messy ponytail Girty took a deep breath and stepped out onto the pitch walking over towards Liv who was standing in the middle.

“Morning Captain!” Girty shouted over towards her fellow Hufflepuff with a rather large wave. Girt had been in the house team since her 4th year and it was strange not to see Grace being the one to lead everyone but then a change is always nice and Girty was happy that the captains badge had been passed onto Liv.
As soon as she had reached the other Hufflepuff Girty stopped in front of her stamping the ground bringing her feet together, broom glued to her side, back straight and head pointing forward.

“Girty Hubbles here to try out for chaser.”

Rising her hand Girty gave Liv a small salute which was accompanied with a wide grin. She liked to think that her reputation as a Quidditch player would be enough to get her on the team, but she always new that fresh blood might challenge her position, but also she had a slight feeling that maybe it would be nice to change position for a change if to many people wanted the same spot.

Maria walked out onto the pitch. "Hey," she said seeing that Girty and Olivia were already there. She had played with the two last year, and was looking forward to another year as a beater on the team. She set her broom down next to Olivia's and then looked around the huge pitch, with only a slight smile. She was staying incredibly calm considering how excited and eager she was about quidditch this term.

Her gaze landed on the "C" on Olivia's robes for a moment and she smiled slightly. Grace had been a good captain last term and insured that the team did well, and Maria was certain that Olivia would be just as good. She sighed slightly as she closed her eyes, the breeze blowing through her hair. Then she quickly pulled out a ponytail holder and put her hair back ready to begin.
