The Character
Name:Ian Gray
Nicknames (if any): N/A
Age & Year: 17 & 7th
Blood: Half-blood
Wand: 13 1/2". Rigid, but made for quick, sturdy spells. Also has great accuracy, which makes up for Ian's slight lack of coordination.
Personality: Ian has a tendency to be very impulsive, which usually has the consequence of landing him in loads of trouble. In fact, it's almost as though he attracts it-- which is really quite disappointing since it seems that's all he manages to attract.
He's a bit foolish, though is serious when the need arises. Having numerous habits, the most prominent being that he chews his bottom lip when feeling any form of stress, he could be described as slightly fidgety.
However, Ian is quite the friendly character. He craves adventure, and is extremely curious about Hogwarts and magic in general. He'll invite anyone brave enough to any of his escapades, and has an almost odd sort of charm surrounding him.
Appearance: Ian has slightly curly, brown hair. Though, he hardly ever spends time on it, often being reprimanded by his mother. He is taller than most everyone in his year, which aids him greatly in intimidating the younger years-- for Head Boy purposes only of course.
History: Ian has a Muggle father who is insanely obsessed with literature. As a famous author in the Muggle world, it is very hard for him to keep his wife and son's magical abilities a secret.
His mother however... She is much more like him in all aspects. With a carefree attitude, she spends most of her time focusing on the adventurous part of life, rather than the literal.

Relationship Guide
Best Friends Ian is quick to make friends, but very few of them would find themselves in this category. These are his most loyal, trusted friends whom he has his most favourable adventures with.
Friends For those who he is often seen sharing a butterbeer with in the Three Broomsticks, and talking with in stray corridors around the castle.
Acquaintances A few smiles and short conversations in the classroom are the most interaction experienced.
Indifferent Not exactly Ian's most favourite people, but it's not like he wants to hex them to Hell and back.
Enemies Ian just doesn't get along with these people. They have different opinions on most everything, and usually have to force themselves to put away their wands when a professor strolls by.
Rivals For those who Ian has a history with. They challenge each other constantly, trying to beat one another in every aspect. Ian can't stand those in this category.

Details: Jac and Ian have known each other for their whole time at Hogwarts. They have always gotten along swimmingly. From a young age, Jac has been surrounded by wonderful people like Ian who she considers to be the best thing about Hogwarts. This is why she has worked so hard to ensure an open and free-flowing relationship between herself and Ian. She has always been honest with him and he knows he can count on that.
As they've grown, so has their relationship: all the more teasing. After spending a splendid evening together at the Tournament Ball, Jac and Ian seemed to be spending quite a lot of time together and teasing and playful joking never stray too far when they are together. This has always made Jac laugh but sooner or later it's going to get her into trouble.
RP Idea: Something in the common room I think, will get that going ;D

Friends
Details: Sophie is attracted to Ian due to his lust for a an adventure, though they haven't shared all that many together, she's quite happy simply listening to his wondrous tales. Known for being a good listener she will often approach Ian and listen to him regailing countless stories of his caring for a Griffen. Though she doesn't believe him all the time, she goes along with it thinking he rathermore has a vivid imagination than having actually endured some of the experiences he has told her of. Her teasing manner and his michieveous manner work well together and they enjoy sharing each others company.
RP ideas: Actually have a thread together! Probably in the common room or else the Three Broomsticks.
Perhaps Ian, Jac and Soph could share an adventure together? Who knows!?

Friends
Details: Ian's natural curiosity and enthusiasm for the unknown works in harmony with Shabnam's adoration of anything unorthodox or weird, and they can often been seen together discussing the latest sighting of the squid around the lake or their latest discovery of an exiting spell in the library. When they put their heads together they become very creative, throwing around ideas that will no doubt land them in trouble at some point or another!
Although Shabnam is considerable younger than Ian, they both feel very comfortable in one another's company. Shabs for one never feels that there is any distance between the two of them, and although they are not joined at the hip, they can always be relied on to be spotted together at some point, whether it be rushing past suspiciously or passionate talking about centaurs.

Friends
Details: Diana has known Ian since she started at Hogwarts. They didn't really associate very much because of their house differences. That was until they met in the Forbidden Forest and found themselves in an adventure that they themselves were unsure if they could handle. They are friends, and after that night Diana has a certain loyalty to him.
RP Idea: not really.. but we already have a thread going.. so unless you would like to start a new one.. that's enough adventure for me haha.

Details: Kellcie and Ian have both had their laughs together, and its often ended up with them both being in some form of trouble, whether it being Ian nearly getting her eaten, or if it was authoritave. Most of the time, they are seen doing stupid things, and sometimes how they get out of it, it could only be described as a miracle.
One day they are going to get themselves into serious trouble and not be able to get out of it.
