Dax took a step out of his hut that was situated in the grounds and let the cool autumn air hit is face. The cool breeze was refreshing as he breathed in deeply and he felt alive. Jogging down the steps he started to walk along the dew covered grass, feeling the water seep into his trousers that were too long for him. Slowly he walked along to the greenhouses, unlocking the large gates with his many keys and started to do his morning jobs.
As he was walking out of Greenhouse 3 he saw a note on the side of one of the desks mentioning that fire-seeds needed to be collected. Re reading the note he ran his hand through his thick black hair while contemplating if he should help out. He did not have anything else planned for the day apart from sitting in his hut reading up on the many creatures that live in the forest.
After locking up the greenhouses Dax headed back towards his hut to get his bag, gloves and a jar to put the fire seeds in before heading into the forbidden forest. His heart was pounding in his chest as he thought about entering the forest and the possible dangers that he may bump into, particularly as he had no idea where he was going.

Sarie didn't want to stay inside. She went outside. She walked down the front. She stopped and took a deep breath. Then she saw Dax. "Hey Dax," She yelled to him. Then she ran over to him. "whats you up to?" She looked at his bag. "Going into the forest what you looking for ?"

Mackenzie wasn't bored at all. No siree she was not! In fact she was completely entertained, sitting across from some First year in the Great Hall who was trying and snort mints up his nose.
Absolutely charming.
Watching his 10th failed attempt she finally took pity on him. "Hey kid, kid!" Mackenzie snapped her figers in front of the young Gryffindors face. He looked up at her finally. "What do you want? I'm kinda busy ya know." He said. Mack put on her best yeah-right-like-I'm-really-gonna-believe-that look and rolld her eyes. "I just wanted to let you know, it's easier to do that," She pointed at his mints. "when they're wet. Trust me." "But wouldn't that bur-" The boy protested before Mack cut him off firmly. "Trust me." Mackenzie gave him a thumbs up before rushing out of the Great Hall, barely containing her laughter.
"It buuuurns! Sonofa____!" She heard moments later from the same boy. Snickering slightly, Mack snuck out onto the grounds before the kid could come looking for her. She wandered around before seeing two people near the Forbbiden Forest. "Hey!!" She yelled rather loudly, rushing over to them.
"You aren't supposed to go in there, ya know. The ministry has, like friggen dragons waiting to attack anyone who goes in there. So I seriously suggest taking a fireproof cloak unless you want to be burned alive." Mackenzie repeated what she had read in an anti-ministry article(re-phrasing it a little) to the people. One of whom she recognized from her year and house but couldn't remember her name. "But we shouldn't talk about that stuff right now, not here at least. The air has ears." She said solemly.

"The air's not the only thing with ears, Windrall." Zachary's voice crept above their footsteps as he walked toward the small cluster with a scowl. His bad mood lightened almost immediately when he noticed that former Hufflepuff Simmons was in the group along with two very young Gryffindors. Straightening himself so he towered over at least the two girls, Zachary smirked. "So learn to keep it down," he finished.
It took a moment for him to realise to where he had followed the noise and his expression sobered immediately. Any forest experience he was involved in never ended well, and he stared suspiciously at Dax while taking a step back. "I think she's right about the fire-proof cloak, however." He murmured with a grimace.[/color]
