Bella ran ahead into the room she already knew so well. Vicky giggled at the feisty kitten as she took her place on her owners desk looking up at her with the most innocent eyes. Placing her teaching materials down on the desk Vicky gave Bella a quick stroke and heard a loud thankful purr. Cats were so much fun, they could be playful, affectionate, self sufficient and very loving. Bella proved to be all those things and more. Vicky hated to move away from the little darling, but class was about to begin and she had to prepare the room. It was dark and dim, all the blinds had been closed making the room a bit chilly. Pulling each one up allowed the sun to stream in brightening up her day immediately.
She wanted to open one but thought against it because it was too chilly out. Going back to her desk she took out her course list for the semester. History was a hard subject to teach sometimes she knew it could be rather dull, but it was important to impart this knowledge. They all needed to know the history of magic. All she needed to do was find out what they needed to know.
One this day she decided to go back to the beginning with them. Magic itself had a history one that they all needed to know. Magic wasn't something that sprung up from no where. Everything they were, everything they are started way back when. Before any of them were even a twinkle in anyone's eyes. So grabbing her wand from Bella who was rolling it back and forth across the desk, she pointed it at the board recited her incantation and soon watched as the writing appeared on the board "When Magic Began"
Hopefully the students would like this lesson or at least pretend to for her sake. Sitting back down her hand absently stroking her kitten Victoria waited for the first students to arrive.
